Kagome began to walk down the dirt-path that leads to the bone eaters well. The night before she had finally come to an answer about her leave. After a little walk-in on Inuyasha and Kikyo, Her fears had confirmed that yes; she was just a replacement for his beloved Kikyo. Second Best, She thought, after he confirmed his feelings to the dead priestess, while she, tears falling down her soft cheeks heard it all.

Kagome sat there crying after she heard that, she began to realize where she laid in the hanyou's heart

' He never loved me...I am such a fool...How could....'She sat there watching the two as they slowly began to kiss, a passionate one that she had longed to earn from the Hanyou, now all her hopes had been crushed She returned to the village, sad and depressed, not wanting to discuss where she had been, or what she had seen, the others began to wonder about the young woman for her depression increased. They also wondered where the Hanyou partner had gone to alas, after taking his leave the night Kagome had come into deep depression, they had not seen him. Worries began to fill their hearts for the Miko and Hanyou.

Inuyasha

She had seen them. Him and Kikyo. She knew who he had chosen and in the end it broke his heart to see her cry.' It's not my fault she loved me...Ok so it is, butwhy do I feel so guilty? I finally get Kikyo...my love. But why do I feel as if it's the wrong choice? Of course it's not...When this all over Kagomewill return toher time and I will go to hell with Kikyo....' He signed as he remembered their discussion the night before, how when the collected all of the Shikon no Tama, He was supposed to go to hell with her. When they kissed, he began to shiver at the touch of her cold lips as they pressed against his. Her hands, dead as they were colder than ice itself.'Is this what I really want? Do I want to wake up every morning to those lips? Why am I asking this when I have already chosen?' He jumped down the tree he was currently sitting on when the smell of sakura and vanilla breathed into his nose .As he followed it; he came upon the site of Kagome, who was carrying her rather large yellow book bag with great difficulty.'Weak Humans, Why is she going home? Wee just stocked up on supplies a few days ago... Hmmm...Hey! What's that scent...Grrrr...?Sesshoumaru...what's he doing here?' Coming form his spot he walked over to Kagome and withdrew his sword. 'He better not hurt Kagome, or I'll beat his stone ass''

Kagome's POV

I didn't say good-bye to anyone, I just grabbed my stuff and left. I didn't want to explain to them why I was going home, or why I depressed and sad. I also didn't want tosee anyone cry. As I snuck out of the Kaede's hut, I pondered on how I was going to get Inuyasha from coming to get me.' I'mnot going back to get my heart broken again'I said to myself. I was not...and I repeat not here to cry or feel for some dead bitch or some stupid jackass.'Where did I get this new attitude from? I've never cussed before...But I can see why Inuyasha likes it so much, it's so much easier to explain how I feel'...At the thought of Inuyasha, tears began to form in my eyes. I knew what I had to do, but it still hurt me.'I can't help but feel so selfish for leaving because Inuyasha broke my heart, what about Shippo or Sango...Hell! Even Miroku. They didn't deserve to feel this pain, they all already have their own..., but this is for the best. This way I wont get in Inuyasha precious way when he goes to Kikyo or when he hunts for shards...this pathetic human wont get in his way at all.' I finally made it to the bone eaters well where I raised her large pack with all my strength' How the hell did Inuyasha carry THIS THING? I never knew it WEIGHED this much!' I finally got it down the well when I heard a rustle and turned face to face with Inuyasha; He wasn't looking at me but instead pulled out his sword and look up at the sky. I began to wonder what he was looking at and looked up too. My eyes widened when she saw Inuyasha half brother floating directly at them. I looked over to Inuyasha and saw the fury in his eyes.' Why in the hell Sesshoumaru here?'

Normal

Sesshoumaru looked over to the Miko in which he saw fear and despair in her eyes. As he floated down he also looked at his brother in whom he was not surprised to smell the scent of clay and soil on him.' Does this human look as if she is clinging to life? Normally she is happier than any human except Rin I have ever seen? And why does that baka smell of the dead? Why is this Sesshoumaru worried about these pathetic humans...I'm only here for business.' He walked over to Kagome while paying no attention to Inuyasha's growling. He noticed that she had been crying by the scent of salty tears on her and the look in her eyes. "Sesshoumaru, leave. Can't you see you're scaring her? And what do you want with her you bastard? Ya aint getting my sword you can just fuck off!" Inuyasha was beyond pissed. He knew why his half brother came but he would not let him take Kagome...At least not until they got all the shards. Sesshoumaru looking, which annoyed InuYasha more, stayed emotionless ...but still kept calm " I wouldn't' be talking half bread for as you can see you have caused her more pain then I have, now I was talking to the Miko not you so leave or I shall force you to"...before Inuyasha could respond Kagome had already "Leave Inuyasha,...I don't wish to see you, Sesshoumaru has come here to talk with me and I would like it if you weren't here". InuYasha growled and left with not a word. Kagome's attention returned to Sesshoumaru who had been watching curiously the whole time. Kagome who hated the silence began to talk “What is this deal you speak of M'lord?" Sesshoumaru was taken back...This human who is heart broken, hurt and betrayed had talk to to him in such a way he thought no human could speak of? She had called him M'lord in which she had never done in InuYasha presence.' Has this Miko been hurt that bad that she would betray my half bread of a brother like that?She may be handierthan I thought...'"Miko, this Sesshoumaru has noticed you have powers great but very untrained, This Sesshoumaru has offered to help you if you aid me get the sword in which the half-bread has accessed...in return you shall be very powerful" .Kagome pondered over this. Though Inuyasha hurt her...did he deserve to be tricked and lied to? Yes...he broke her heart in favor of Kikyo, he had used her so many times and yet he was so oblivious to it all. She would accept his rivals offer.” I accept your offer M'lord...and thank you for your kindness" Kagome said as she bowed. Sesshoumaru who looked the same emotionless face did not bother to accept her praise she walked away but instead grunted as he waved his hand for her to follow. She did and soon they were gone.
