The engine died and whirred to a stop as he pulled up in front of the shrine. Years ago he would have just leapt to her room, bound in and told her to come with him. He imagine what it must have been like for her. All those years he left her for someone who'd never love him back. Gods, he was stupid back then.

He shouldn't have come here but he had to see her again…he had to tell Kagome he never stopped loving her and never would. Then he saw Kouga leave the house. Before anyone could see he shoved his Harley into the bushes and crept low.

 

She kissed him on the cheek as he left. Her bright smiled following him as he got into his expensive jaguar and left. Inuyasha cringed on the inside. Kouga had come back for her too. Apparently, Inuyasha had come too late. A gun clicked behind his head. Kagome was gone from sight. Just what he needed, a police officer arresting him for stalking Kagome.

 

“Inuyasha…I never thought I'd be gunning you down behind a bush.” That sweet soft voice he knew as Kagome's was tinged in anger and pain.

 

“How'd you know it was me?” Still crouched down by his tossed over bike. His black leather jacket giving contrast to his white sweeping hair that touched the ground.

 

“What weirdo goes around with dog ears on their heads stalking an old friend's house?”

“A stupid, unforgivable, self righteous, fool hearted weirdo.”

 

A snicker. It was good to hear laugh, even if it was a snicker.

“What's with the gun Kagome?”

The firearm lowered and was holstered in its leather casing on Kagome's upper thigh. Inuyasha pondered what else she wore underneath the confines of her pale blue knee thigh high…skintight…strapless…low cut V-neck dress. Dear god was he drooling!?!

 

With a deep sigh she fixed her dress and looked Inuyasha in the eye.

“What are you here for? Wasn't it bad enough that you chose Kikyo over me? I…I mean, you never even chose to come back and visit me for Kami's sake!”
Through her rambling Inuyasha was too busy looking this new Kagome over. It had been 9 years in her time in which she hadn't seen him. 509 in his time. She was or at least had to be 26. Her once girly figure had been replaced with one such as a full-bodied woman. Her small petite breasts were enlarged and full, her slender hips were fuller and more shapely. Even her face she looked less like Kikyo now that she'd grown up. He ached to hold that lovley frame in his hands and lavish it.

 

“I came back for you.” She shut her eyes and raised her head to the sky. He half expected her to howl in reprieve. She stared at the star-studded sky for a long time.

“Why did the cremation not work out for you?”

“I told you I only went with her because….”
“ It was your fault she was dead! I get it! Why did you come back for me?”

His amber eyes wavered on the brink of unshed tears. Gods why was he acting like this? He road from his loft downtown on his Harley to walk up to Kagome's door. He was going to proclaim his love and then steal her away to his home and clam her. What had gone wrong? Kouga.

 

“I came back to say I love you and I want you to be with me but it looks like I'm a little late.” Sighing he picked up his bike and started the engine.

“I'm sorry I bothered you.” Then he was gone. Like that day 9 years ago he was gone, but his time Kagome could find him. A police officer had power she just had to get her hands dirty.
