Chapter 4

Challenging Day

Last Time:

Inuyasha nodded.

“Oh yea before I forget watch out for some women,” Kagome said laying back down and feel asleep.

“Watch out for some girl,” he said to himself, “what is that suppose to mean.”

Challenging Day

(( Just a quick note.. This is going to began the next day…))

Kagome woke up later that day. The sun was shinning brightly, threw her window. She slowly began to stir and wake up from what felt like a dream. Her eyes steadily fluttered open and she looked around the barren room. She shifted the covers from her and then slid out of the bed. Her feet hit the cool wooden floors as she grabbed her robe and left the room. Walking down the stairs she then went to the kitchen and found a note plastered on the fridge. It read:

Kagome,

Hey I went to our classes to get homework and crap like that. Your friends left earlier this morning to go to work. The silver haired one said that he would come by some time to check up on you. I’ll be home about 4. Take care….

Kagome crumbled up the piece of paper and threw it into the garbage. She looked at the clock 10:05 it read. “ I guess, I’ll go change and then fix me something to eat,” she said turning out of the kitchen and back to her bedroom and changling into a purple tank top and d black baggy jeans. She slowly eased her way down the stairs again. She began to feel a throbbing pain in her head, She slowly rubbed her temples trying to ease the pain. She then went into the kitchen and nearly collapsed. She tightly shut her eyes seeing the different images…

Vision:

“Inu babe” a woman voice squeeled

“Oh no” Inuyasha sighed.

“What do you want Kikyo, I’m going to visit someone,” he growled.

“Oh,” Kikyo pouted, “Why aren’t you going to visit me. I thought you loved me. You aren’t seeing another woman are you!”

Inuyasha sighed before running his hand threw his hair. “Kikyo, we aren’t together anymore, OK” he growled, “you just had to cheat on me with Him, and I am visiting another women. She is nice than you will ever be.” Inuyasha then turned and walked away leaving a stunned Kikyo.

End of Vision

Kagome then slowly shook her head and opened her eyes and looked at the clock. 11:30 .

“Arrg” she softly whispered “that took awhile.”

“Poor, Inuyasha, and what a rude woman Kikyo is,” she said. Suddenly there was a quick rap on the door, Kagome pushed herself up and then stumbled to the door and opened it.

There stood her silver headed friend, his face flushed with anger and his fist clenched.

“Inuyasha,” she softly said.

Inuyasha instantly calmed down when he heard her voice.

“Hey Kagome,” he said, “ How ya feelin?”

“I’m good,” she said, “Come on in, I was about to get something to eat.”

“You haven’t eaten,” he said. She nodded.

“Put some shoes on and I will take ya somewhere,” he said. Kagome looked at him.

“You don’t have to,” she said.

“I insist,” he said guiding her to the door. Kagome sighed and slide on her shoes. She then looked at Inuyasha.

“Ok, I’m ready,” she said.

“Kay, Lets go,” he said putting his arm gently around her shoulder and guided her out of the door. The two where slowly walking down the street.

“So where are we going,” Kagome asked.

“To this small dinner not far form here,” Inuyasha said. Kagome only nodded her head and followed closely to Inuyasha. As they where walking there was a loud screech.

“Inuyasha,” a feminine voice yelled, “Why the hell are you with her, she is just a copy of me, but I am the better looking copy.” The woman had walked up to them and shoved Kagome aside. Kagome stumbled back into the wall of a building. She closed her eyes and then opened them watching Inuyasha.

“Kikyo, you don’t know Kagome, she aint your copy,” Inuyasha growled, “so shut the hell up and get your grubby little mitts off of me” Inuyasha jerked his arm from Kikyo’s grasp and helped Kagome up.

“You ok Kagome.” he asked her with worried eyes.

“Yea,” she said

“Lets go Kagome,” Inuyasha said and guided her towards where the dinner was located. The two got there with no other incident.

“You sure you are ok, Kagome,” Inuyasha asked, slightly running his hand over the back of her head feeling for any knots.

“I’m ok, don’t worry,” she said with a smile.

Then the waitress came and took their orders and got their orders and got their food once was prepared. Kagome smiled and listened to what Inuyasha was saying.

“So Kagome” he said. She looked up at him, “yea,” she said.

“How long have you been having visions,” he asked.

“As long as I can remember,” she said softly, “ Since, I was 2, I guess, I really don’t know.”

Suddenly a voice called, “well, well, well, if it and the freak and the mutt face,”

Kagome softly sighed and let her head slowly fall. Inuyasha noticing her distress, “GO the hell away, Koga.”

“Hell, why are you hanging out with the freak, oh I know why it is cause…”

“Shut up Koga,
“ Kagome’s soft voice rang.

Koga quickly grabbed Kagome by her throat. Inuyasha jumped up to help but Kagome two lackeys held him back.

“What did you say bitch,” he deadly growled.

“I said to shut up,” she softly said.

“That’s what I thought” he then slapped Kagome and then threw her. Kagome hit the wall and slide down. She had her eyes tightly shut feeling the sting of the pain in her cheek. Tear began to well up in the corners of her eyes.

Inuyasha was glaring daggers at Koga. A deep deadly growl was coming from Inuyasha. His eyes flashed blood red a few times. He watched Koga approach Kagome. Inuyasha tried to launch himself at Koga to stop him from bringing Kagome more harm.

“Leave her alone Koga,” he yelled, “dammit.”

Koga glared at the h fallen woman before him.

“Listen freak,” he growled, “Look at me when I speak to you *slap*”

Inuyasha’s hair fell in front of his eyes. The growl deepened in his throat.

“Koga, Leave her be, If you know what is right for you,” he boomed showing his fangs.

“Ooh, I’m sooo scared half breed,” he growled back in a sarcastic tone. Koga bent down and picked Kagome up squeezing her frail body tightly to his body.

“Well now. Half breed,” he growled, “do you care about this freak of nature?”

“Koga, let her go NOW,” Inuyasha yelled.

“Oh, I guess that you do truly care for this pathetic freak,” Koga laughed. And threw he to the ground not far from him.

The people in the small dinner were all pushed against the far corner away from the fight, no one moved.

“Koga,” a weak voice said, “please just let us be, and go on your own way.”

Koga whipped around and faced Kagome.

“Bitch,” he growled, “don’t say that, I do as I please.”

Koga then raise his hand and slapped Kagome’s already bruised cheek. Leaving 3 diagonal lines across her cheek as well. Blood slowly came to the surface and then slid down her face leaving small trails of blood. Koga then picked her up and laughed at her.

Tears then began to cascade down her face leaving unruly mini rived on her face. Kagome’s head fell forward as she softly sobbed. Kagome closed her eyes feeling her head throb. Images them swiftly flashed: Koga, red eyes, silver, golden eyes, red eyes, purple markings, ‘Inuyasha’ she thought.

Something snapped in Inuyasha, his growl became louder and deeper.

“Koga,” he growled, “Let Kagome go this instant, face me if you if want to fight.”

Koga then threw Kagome back to the ground forcedly and then quickly turned to face Inuyasha.

“Guys, let his go,” Koga said flexing his claws.

Then Inuyasha charged at Koga with godly speed and knocked him over. Kagome already had slowly moved away and leaned against the wall watching the fight. Inuyasha had pinned Koga to the ground growling. One of his claws at Koga’s throat the other claw/fist punched Koga a few times.

Koga’s eyes widened in chock and terror.

“Mutt” he bellowed trying to her free. “How the hell did you get so strong, so fast.”?

“Wouldn’t you like to know,” his demonic voice said. Kagome stared at Inuyasha seeing his ruby red eyes.

“Inuyasha” Kagome whimpered a bit. Inuyasha’s head snapped towards her voice eyes flashing red for a moment, before looking back at Koga.

“Listen here wimpy wolf,” growled Inuyasha, “don’t you ever touch or hurt my Kagome again, or else there will be an unthinkable consequences.

Inuyasha stood up and grabbed Koga and stood him up and threw him towards the door.

“Now get out of my sight,” he growled before turning to Kagome. His hair covered his face for a brief minute before he looked back at Kagome.

‘Amber’ thought Kagome looking into Inuyashas’ eyes.

“Kagome,” he said softly before striding over to Kagome and knelt down. He gently lifted Kagomes’ chin up an inspecting her cheek.

“I’m sorry,” he said gently stroking her injured and bruised cheek.

“Don’t be,” she said softly said looking into his amber orbs.

“Lets just go back to my home or yours,” she said, “I don’t want to be here anymore.”

Inuyasha nodded his head and helped Kagome up and quickly paid the bill. And walked over to her and draped his arm around her shoulder and guided her out of the dinner towards the sidewalk heading towards her home.

“I’ll take you home,” he said. There was then a silence as they made their way to Kagome’s home. Once they got their Kagome opened the door after unlocking it.

“Come on in,” she said softly said. Inuyasha quickly walked and Kagome shut the door behind him.

Inuyasha then quickly grabbed Kagomes’ hand and pulled her to her room. Once they reached her room, he opened the door and gently pulled her in. Inuyasha then took Kagome to the bathroom that was in her room. He then lifted her onto the sink when they where in the bathroom.

“There is a first aid kit in the cabinet to the left,” she whispered so softly that he had to strain his ear to hear what she had said.

Inuyasha quickly nodded his head and got the kit and opened it grabbing an alcohol wipe.

“This is going to sting a bit,” he said. Kagome lightly nodded her head. Inuyasha gently pressed the swab against her cheek. Kagome winced at the sting of her cheek.

“Sorry,” Inuyasha softly said as her retracted his hand from her cheek.

“It’s ok,” she said softly as he examined her face once more before helping her off the sink. Kagome slowly left the bathroom and walked to her bed and collapsed in it.

“You ok?” he asked as he walking to the bed once he grabbed a chair.

Kagome slowly rolled over from her stomach and onto her back.

“I’m ok..” she said softly, “I’m just getting a headache. She then reached for her nightstand drawer and opened it. She then pulled out a small orange bottle and opened the bottle and took out two small pills. She then closed the bottle and placed it back in the drawer and closed it. She put the pills in her mouth and took a small sip of water that was in a glass on top of her nightstand.

“What was that?” asked Inuyasha

“Migraine relief medicine,” she said weakly.

“Will you be ok,” he asked. Kagome nodded before the phone began to ring.

“Hello” she said

“Hey Kagome, It’s Casey,”

“Oh hey”

“I’m calling to let you know, I wont be home tonight, work doesn’t have enough people. So I am working double shift.”

“Kay”

“Oh you can invite a friend to watch you or help take care of you if you still don’t feel well” The silver haired boy would do it probably, JUST no funny business.” Casey laughed.

Kagome then began to blush.

“Umm, ok” she said.

“I’ll talk to you later, bye.” Casey said.

Line dead

Kagome softly sighed as she hung up the phone. “That was Casey,” she said, “she said that she won’t be able to come home tonight.”

“Oh” Inuyasha said, “ill stay with you tonight and take care of you,” he said.

Kagome then laughed a bit. “Casey said you would probably do it.” Kagome said.

Inuyasha smiled and nodded he head. Inuyasha looked at Kagome and watched her yawn. “Sleepy eh?” he said.

“Un huh” she said yawing again.

“Sleep some,” he said, “just rest, this has been a very eventful day and you need some rest, I’ll be here when you wake up and I’ll fix ya something when you get hungry.”

“Kay” Kagome said before closing her eyes, “night”

“Night” Inuyasha said and cover Kagome up with a blanket and got up and left the room for a minute and called Sesshoumaru telling him that he would be staying with a friend and probably wouldn’t be coming to work the next day. Inuyasha went back upstairs to Kagomes’ room and watched her sleep.

“I will protect you from anything I can,” he said, “I promise you Kagome.”

Kagome woke up later that day. It was about 7 o’clock when she did. Inuyasha fixed her (guess what???) RAMEN. (Go figure) Kagome learned that Inuyasha loved the food Ramen (don’t own Ramen) a lot. Kagome laughed at Inuyasha when somehow he got some noodles on his forehead.

“Oi, stop making fun of me,” he pouted.

“But it was cute” Kagome laughed. Inuyasha’s ears went back slightly and he gave Kagome big puppy eyes and pouted.

“Oh no, puppy eyes” she laughed and ticked his nose. Inuyasha then glared at Kagome.

“Don’t do that,” he said. Then Kagome gently touched his ears and began to rub them. Inuyasha eyes widened a bit, “what are you, you doing?” he stuttered.

“Your ears are to cute,” she said, “I wanted to touch them.”

“Feh, whatever,” he said with a smirk. Inuyasha then quickly picked Kagome up once they had finished eating and carried her upstairs to her bedroom.

Once they where in her room, Inuyasha dropped Kagome on her bed and sat down on it. He grinned evilly and then began to tickle her. “Noooooooo” she laughed. After awhile Inuyasha had Kagome pinned to the bed, “I win,” he said out of breath. Inuyasha’s looked into Kagome’s eyes and smiled.

“Yea, whatever” she said while laughing. Inuyasha then bent his head forward and kissed Kagome on the lips. Her eyes widened at first but she responded quickly to his kiss. After a few moments Inuyasha pulled back and blushed so did Kagome.

“Go to sleep,” he said, “I’ll be right here when you wake.”

Kagome nodded her head and smiled, “good night Inuyasha.” she said

“Good night, my Kagome” he said.

Kagome then fell asleep once more.

Inuyasha got up and sat down back in the chair and watched over the sleeping Kagome.

A/n. YAY chapter 4 all done Well I hope you like this chapter, it’s a pretty long, really sure thought.
