Seeing You Again- Chapter 1- Somthing Kinda Funny

*Flash back from last chapter*

"I did it."

Kagome's world suddenly went black. She felt like she hit something hard, then heard a faint cry and gasps.

"KAGOME!!!"

*End Flash back*

'Why does my body hurt so much? It feels like...I've just been slammed with a sledge hammer.'

Kagome opened her eyes, expecting to be blinded by the sun, but was not luckily, because it was dark. There was a fire near her, keeping her somewhat warm. She sat up a bit, to look at her surroundings, because for all she knew she could be in some parallel universe (which wouldn't have surprised her too much). There was a small little fire near her feet, she was now in the woods, her backpack was right behind her, and she was wearing Inuyasha's haori.

'Hunh? How come I'm wearing this? Wait...and why am I wearing this as a shirt?!'

"Glad to see you're awake."

"Phewee?" Kagome turned towards the voice, event though she knew who it was.

"What? Did you really hit your head that hard? You're acting so weird."

"Hunh? What are you tailing about Inuyasha? And why am I wearing your haori? And where's your shirt!?" Even in the dim light she could see that his shirt was off and that he had bandages wrapped around his chest and stomach.

"What are you stupid?" Inuyasha said, moving closer to the distraught girl, so she could see him better.

"What do you mean 'Am I stupid'?!" Kagome snapped, once again becoming her normal snappy self.

"Ah there's the Kagome I know." Inuyasha said with a chuckle, "But you don't remember anything do you?"

"Like I said Inuyasha, I don't know what you're talking about. What happened?"

"Well. You purified the jewel and said that you did it, whatever that means, then started swooning, closed your eyes and fell over and your sided hit a rock. Note the bandages around your stomach. I gave you my Haori after Sango patched you up because you were bleeding bad and tore up your shirt bad, and then she tended my wounds. I told her, the monk, Shippo, and Kirara to go get Kaede and bring her out to come make sure you're ok since you didn't wake up when we tried to wake you."

"Oh. All that happened...wait where's the jewel, Inuyasha?" She was giving him that look that said 'If you dare took that jewel Inuyasha, I swear, I'll sit you so hard that you wont be able to move for a year' type message. He backed a bit away from the glaring girl and tossed her the necklace with the full jewel on it towards her.

"Thanks. So how long was I out?" Kagome said while putting the necklace on around her neck.

"Eh...a good twelve hours. Sango and Miroku left about five hours ago."

"So I guess you haven't eaten since yesterday?" Kagome said moving over towards her bag rummaging around it. Inuyasha's stomach growled at the thought of food.

"Yea, basically. But I guess you don't have any food, since I saw you take everything out of your bag and throw only medical supplies in." Inuyasha said, with a hint of sadness guessing he wouldn't get to eat till Sango and Miroku got back.

"Not true Inuyasha! I packed food, not as much as I normally do, but I rationed all the meals so we could have a big meal after everything was over." Kagome said this warmly, pulling a big pack of ramen out. Inuyasha almost jumped on the girl when she said she had food, but controlled him self. Then he saw the ramen, he jumped, but landed next to her.

"Thank Kami! Kagome! You actually did something right for once!" Inuyasha bit his tongue after that statement.

"What was that Inuyasha? I actually did something right!? What are you saying Inuyasha? I don't do anything right? EVEN THOUGH I JUST KILLED NARAKU TWELVE HOURS AGO!?" Kagome said, a deadly tone seeping into her voice when she spoke each word.

"No! Kagome! I didn't mean it that--"

"SIT BOY!"

*thud*

"Kagome! You didn't let me finish! I didn't mean it that way!" Inuyasha said lifting his face from the dirt, spitting out pebbles between sentences.

"Hmph." Kagome walked over to the fire to heat some water for their ramen. "Doesn't mean I won't feed you. You haven't had a thing to eat in almost two days. I can't deny you food. And anyways you disserve it." Kagome said kindly, showing that she wasn't mad about the comment. Inuyasha was utterly confused by the way Kagome was acting, he actually thought that the blackout she had had given her brain damage. Inuyasha got up after the subduing spell wore off, and added wood to the fire. The ramen was soon done, and Kagome moved her back pack so that it was in front of the fire and so that she and Inuyasha could lay back on it while they ate their meal.

"Ramen never tasted so good!" Inuyasha exclaimed after finishing his third cup of ramen, starting on his fourth.

"I know. I actually had a real bad craving to have ramen for dinner. I guess it worked it out well." Kagome said smiling and blushing slightly while still working on her first cup of ramen.

"So Kagome..."

"Yea Inuyasha?"

"What are you going to do now?"

"What do you mean Inuyasha?" Kagome took another bite of her ramen, looking at the hanyou next to her confused and yet curious.

"Now...that the jewels completed. What are you going to do?" He said, looking down, now finding his noodles very interesting.

"Oh...I really haven't thought about it. I guess...I'll go back home for a while, decide what I really want to do."

"Oh. So your probably not going to come back...are you." A hint of sadness came into his voice when he spoke.

"No. Not at all. I'll come back every day. I promise." She put her hand on his back to show that she was telling the truth. "Do you know what you're going to do Inuyasha?" Now it was her turn to sound sad.

"The same as you. I guess. I really haven't really thought about it."

"Oh...are you going to go with...her?" Kagome said, now not only sad but a hint of her being hurt seeped into her words.

"No, I'm not going to. Kikyo can go to hell by her self. I would rather live."

"Really!"

"Yea... Man I'm stuffed! Lets get some rest. No chance knowing when the others will be back. We should get some rest."

"Yea I agree. Be fore we do go to sleep, do you want me to change your bandages?" Kagome asked, pulling a blanket out of her bag, and putting the empty ramen cups in her bag.

"Nah. It's all right. I changed them right before you got up. Yours should be fine too. I changed the lower ones while you were asleep. Don't worry...I didn't look or do anything Miroku would do." Kagome let go of a breath that she didn't even know she was holding.

'Well at least he wasn't being a perv...' She laughed at herself for the comment.

"Hey Inuyasha, do you want to share my blanket, since its getting cold and you don't have a shirt?" Kagome said while unfolding her blanket that was the color of Inuyasha's haori.

"Uh sure. Where'd you get the blanket?" Inuyasha said putting the blanket over the both of them, Kagome snuggling close to Inuyasha.

"Oh. Myoga gave it to me for my 16th birthday. It's a fire rat's blanket. It keeps me warm on cold nights. I love it so much." Kagome was sitting/laying against her bag, Inuyasha righ next to her.

"Hey Inuyasha, can I rest my head on your shoulder?"

"Hn? Oh sure." Inuyasha moved his arm so that Kagome could rest her head on his shoulder, and so he could wrap his arm around her shoulders. Her body molded to his side almost instantly, as she felt a heat radiate off of him, that gave her that fuzzy warm feeling when your with some one you really love.

'I feel so warm when I'm in his arms...' Kagome's fuzzy/tired mind said as she started to drift off into a peaceful slumber.

"Kagome..."

"Hn?" She replied softly.

"You know. Now that the jewel is complete...a lot more things are going to be coming after you now..."

"Yea I know, Inuyasha. Now lets get some sleep."

"I just want to let you know...that I'll always be there to protect you." Both him and Kagome soon drifted into sleep, Kagome a deep sleep, Inuyasha a light one, ever so aware of his surroundings just to be careful.

A few hours later...

*Sounds of a plane flying overhead*

'Did I just hear a plane?'

A/N: Sorry it took so long to update! I got sick so that threw me off this week with make-up work and what not. I'm going to be gone this comming week since I'm going on vacation, but I'll write lots and hopefully get a few chapters writen so I can give you guys a big big update! ;-) See you guys soon!
