Seeing You Once More- Chapter 3- Am I Going Crazy?

*Flashback from last chapter*

"KAGOME!!!!! YOU'RE AWAKE!!!!"

*End Flashback*

Kagome covered her ears, Inuyasha just flattened them. There was only one person who could create that high of a voice--Shippo. The young energetic kit bounded into Kagome's lap and hopped up onto her shoulder hugging her as tightly he could.

"I'm so glad you're ok Kagome!!! I thought I had lost you!" Shippo started to sobbing.

"Aww. It's all right Shippo. I'm fine now." Inuyasha scoffed at this. He knew something was wrong with Kagome. She elbowed him in the stomach, before

extracting the clinging Shippo from her neck. She held him under the shoulders and out away from her so she could see him.

"I really am fine Shippo. You don't need to worry about me too much any more. Ok?" The young kit nodded gently showing his big blue eyes that showed recent tears. Kagome brought him in for a big hug. She started to rock him gently in her arms to calm him, as a mother would do. Kagome had always thought of Shippo as her adopted son, or a foster mother for him. She could only imagine the depression that he would go into if she had died. Kagome felt his sobs slowly stop, and his breathing calm. He soon became still, and was fast asleep in her arms. She looked up to see both Miroku and Sango standing in front of her, with Kirara in the back.

"Were glad to see you're awake Kagome-san." Miroku said taking Shippo from her arms and placing him near the forgotten camp fire.

"Thanks Miroku. How are you guys doing? I know you sucked in a few wasps Miroku, and you Sango-chan got hit by a few attacks. Both of you seemed to get hurt pretty bad."

"I'm fine Kagome-san. Just a bit tired that's all."

"I am too. Nothing bad. Just tired. We haven't had much sleep in the past few days. Traveling to the village and back ya know."

"Yeah. Where is Kaede-baba? Didn't you bring her along?" Inuyasha said with a bit of annoyance in his voice from being interrupted by the brat.

"Sorry Inuyasha. She couldn't leave the village, but said to bring Kagome to the village asap. Is that all right with you seeing as you seem to be taking care of Kagome very well." Miroku added a bit of a chuckle and gave Inuyasha that look only the hentai-houshi could give. Kagome blushed furiously at the houshi's comment, as both Inuyasha and Sango had a vein pop on their forehead.

"Miroku....." Inuyasha let of that warning voice.

"You....you....HENTAI!!!"

:THAWP:

Miroku lay on the ground, swirls in his eyes, and a big bump on the head. Kagome and Inuyasha laughed as the taijiya pulled Miroku onto the now transformed Kirara.

"Are you guys ready to go?" Sango asked turning to see if she could help do anything.

"Oh! Hold on. Let me just pack up a few things." Kagome jumped up, pulling the blanket up off of her and Inuyasha in the process. She realized that she was still in Inuyasha's haori and her skirt, nothing much else. She blushed furiously as she saw the Houshi staring at her from Kirara's back.

:WHACK:

The houshi earned him another bump on the head from Sango's boomerang. Kagome and Inuyasha just shook their heads. Kagome started to pack her things and tossed Inuyasha his shirt which was in her pack. Sango grabbed Shippo and got onto Kirara's back and got ready to go.

"But Inuyasha!" Kagome whined as Inuyasha placed Kagome on his back.

"I know you can walk Kagome, but you need to get to Kaede fast. Walking is not fast."

"Fine." Kagome huffed. She knew Inuyasha was right. They did need to get back to the village. It was bad enough Kouga came and attacked them, and that she had practically killed him.

'Yea...what was with Kouga? His eyes....they weren't the eyes of the Kouga I know. It was almost as if he were possessed....but like Inuyasha said, things are going to start to come after me. I just didn't think it would happen so soon. Oh well....maybe Kaede-san will have some answers for us...mainly me. I guess...*yawn* I should try and get some sleep. It will be a while till Inuyasha and I get to the village. Sango and Miroku are going a bit slower pace since they're pretty worn down. I hope they'll be all right.' With this thought, Kagome let her self drift into a light slumber, knowing it would still be a few hours until they would arrive at the village.

Inuyasha felt Kagome relax and fall asleep, and he smiled at the thought of having the girl so close to him. He finally knew that she trusted him and that he was her protector. He wouldn't let anything happen to Kagome now that the jewel was complete.

"Don't worry Kagome. What ever is wrong with you. We'll fix it together."

(Back with Sango and Miroku)

"Miroku...do you think Kagome-chan is all right?" Shippo asked with a worried tone.

"I can't tell Shippo. She seemed like her normal self when we saw her. What do you think Sango?"

"I don't know. Honestly I think that something is not right with her. Before we left, Inuyasha told me that Kouga came around and she shot him with one of her purifying arrows. I guess he was possessed or something, so she used her miko powers again and blacked out. She fell from a tree Inuyasha had put her in, but he caught her. If she is sick, she isn't getting any better. I hope Kaede-sama can help her."

"We can only hope Sango. We can only hope."

"KAEDE-BABA!!!! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?"

"Inuyasha!" Kagome whispered violently.

"Don't draw the whole village's attention to us!" Kagome started to hit him on the head to try to shut him up.

"What the hell Kagome! We need to find Kaede-baba because you are not fine. It's not normal for some one to black out twice in less than two days! We need to get you fixed!"

That was it. Inuyasha had sent her over her frustration limit.

"Inuyasha...." Inuyasha froze, he knew what was coming next," SIT!"

Kagome hopped off his back before Inuyasha slammed into the ground.

"I'm not sick Inuyasha!"

"I think you may want to reconsider that Kagome. Fainting twice in under two days can cause much harm to the body." Kagome swerved around to see the placid Kaede standing behind the two.

"Oh! Kaede-sama! Forgive my rudeness!" Kagome bowed deeply, and looked up in forgiveness.

The old miko looked towards the girl a smile etched on her face.

"No young Kagome. It is I who should bow to you. But that later. Sango and Miroku said that you were hurt. Come with me to my hut and ye can tell me all about what's happened."

The two walked in the hut and were shortly joined by the still recovering Inuyasha. Kagome told Kaede-sama everything that had happened in the past days; from dishing the final blow to Naraku to the battle with Kouga and even the strange sounds she had been hearing.

"You've been hearing what!?"

"Calm down Inuyasha. We need to take into view all aspects of this problem."

"I know that Kaede-baba! I have a perfectly good explanation for Kagome's problems."

"Oh do you?" Kaede asked in an are-you-sure tone.

"Yeah. What is your theory Inuyasha?"

"Well, when Kagome hit her head it scrambled her brains making her hear all this weird stuff. Simple as that!" Inuyasha head his head high and proud at the conclusion he had just made. Kaede just looked down and shook her head; on the other hand, Kagome looked as if she could kill Inuyasha.

"Inuyasha! You baka! My brains are not scrambled! I really did hear those planes! I'm not crazy!"

"Are you sure you're not going crazy Kagome. I mean c'mon. Planes in this era. Yea right!"

"I--Am--Not--Crazy!" Kagome huffed and looked towards the door. "I think every one else is here. I'll go out and get them."

Kagome walked outside and yelled for Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kirara. Kagome stepped back inside the hut and stopped in the doorway. Her eyes were big, and confusion and fear was etched in her face.

"Kagome you ok?" Sango asked from behind her, placing a hand on the young girl's shoulder.

"Kaede, Sango, Inuyasha."

"What is it Kagome?"

"What's up Kagome?"

"What trouble ye child?"

"What's a statue doing in you're hut?"

A/N: Ok...I lied again, but this was a good lie! I updated sooner! I decided to skip on the home work since I have like 4 study halls in a row and just felt like writing another chapter. Hoep ya'll like! Well so far Kagome14 got the answer right from the question in the last chapter! :waves banners that say congratulations: I kind of liked this chapter, but its deffentley not the best. Well I'm going to keep this A/N short since I've been writing this chapter for almost 4 hours now and I still need to spell check. Hope it's long enough, but I just couldn't get the chapter out as fast as I normally can. Hope you all like this though!
