InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ senior year at shikon high ❯ her name is kagome ( Chapter 5 )

“ok, see ya!”, sango yelled after her friend. “I wonder why she left all of a sudden?”

 

“what's wrong, sango? Wheres kagome goin?”, asked a concerned miroku.“oh nothing, she said she had to go get her schedule from the office and that she'd see us later,”she said, turning to him and their approaching friends

 

“hey guys, whats up?”, inuyasha said. He and kikyo, who was attached to his arm, had come over to the group, right after that strange girl ran away from them. He had only caught a glimpse of her face, but that was enough to give him a vivid image of her that stayed in his mind after she was gone and, for some reason, made his heart skip everytime he saw it. He shook his head to free him of this lightheaded feeling he was having.

 

“inuyasha, you ok?”, kikyo asked, looking up at him from his side with her chocolate brown eyes, and then it hit him, `that girl looked like kikyo..' she was looking at him, concerned so he nodded his head and said, “yeah, I'm fine, just thinking, so who was that girl? Another victim of miroku's “cursed hand”?”

 

“hey!”, the monk said indignantly, as kikyo and sango laughed, “for your information, we met her on the way to school and offered to show her around.” “she's new here,” sango said, “her name is kagome higurashi and she moved here about a month ago, she's a priestess like you, kikyo.”

 

“feh, kikyo's way stronger than that girl, she's been here this whole time, whereas this kagome just shows up in her senior year and expects to be tough enough, nope, she'll be lucky if she makes it through the day.” Inuyasha said.

 

“Well, that's what were here for, to help her.”, said miroku happily. “yeah,” said sango, “who else can protect her from miroku?” “hey!” “besides, she's had it pretty tough, her old house burned down in a fire, she wouldn't have come here if it weren't for that. she had to leave all her old friends behind and this is probably really hard for her, so we should help her out. You of all people should know what it's like to be all alone, inuyasha, so give her a break.”

 

“Whatever, just don't expect me to be her bodyguard or something, she's gotta protect herself.” The irratated hanyou said. “I don't think that will be a problem, inuyasha,” said kikyo at his side, “I could feel a lot of power from her, even before I saw her, and she'd have to be powerful for them to except her here.” She looked up at him, smiling and he saw kagome's face, instead of hers. `why do I keep seein her?' he thought, smiling at her and turning away to try to clear her face from his mind, but it wouldn't leave.

 

“c'mon, the bells about to ring, lets go.” He said, walking towards the building in front of him, his friends close behind. Inuyasha's final thought as he looked at his girlfriend, smiling and holding his hand was, `her name is kagome.., kikyos still prettier than she is.'

 

 

Well thatwas the chapter, what do ya think? I know, inuyasha's in some serious denial here, but that's our inu! Sooooo stupid.
