(So I hope you liked the last chapter, I really don't like my writing so I don't know how I got roped into this.)

Last time: "What is your name girl?" Mr. Taisho asked.

"Kagome Higurashi."

"The Higurashi's are demons idiot."

"You don't think I know that you stupid jackass."

*** ***

Chapter Two:

"Can it you two!" Mr. Taisho growled.

"Morning daddy," Mitsuke said skipping in. "Hey Kagome."

"Hello, Mitsuke." Kagome said and smiled.

"Good morning princess. Where have you been?" Mr. Taisho asked.

"In the kitchen. Kagome made me an early breakfast sense I was hungry." She said taking a sip of her father's coffee. "She made my what she made you. It's very good."

"Really." Mr. Taisho said and looked down at it. "It's eggs."

"It's an omelet." Mitsuke said and laughed. "Really it is good try it."

He looked at it again and cut a piece off and ate it. "It's eggs." He said again and just cut off another piece that had a little meat in it and ate it. "Now it's just meat and egg. Very interesting."

"I don't know I thought it was pretty good and that frog shaped pancake was pretty cool." InuYasha said and smiled.

Sesshomaru quirked an eyebrow at him and ate his toast.

"No offence Sesshomaru but I've never seen you this quiet, what's wrong with you?" Mr. Taisho asked him.

He just growled and ate the rest of his toast and gulped down the rest of his tea. "Now, father if you don't mind I need to be excused. I have important matters to attend to,"

"Hey wait for me," InuYasha called and ran after him.

"Well ok, so much for a family breakfast… Kagome is it, why don't you have a seat and tell me about yourself because you either make Sesshomaru angry or nervous by your being here."

"I wouldn't know honestly, he pinned me to my bed last night but I'm pretty sure it was cause I was mocking him…I think…Yeah I'm pretty sure I was mocking him."

"Then he's probably found him self attracted to you because you stood up to him."

"And practically told him I would rather walk around naked than wear a uniform. He almost made me too."

"How you get out of that?"

"I told him I have walked naked in public before because it was required that you walk naked at it… I didn't tell him it was women only though." Kagome said and blushed. "Also I think I was about five."

"Well, you're a sly one then aren't you. He probably sensed your lie though."

"Sensed, he didn't have to I'm such a bad liar I could sense my lie." Kagome looked down. "I should really go clean up the kitchen."

"No, the others can do that, they stayed in bed to long, you can have the rest of the day off if you like."

"That'd be nice." Kagome said and smiled. "Do you have a guitar by chance anywhere that I could use, I was going to teach Mitsuke to play."

"She can play the cords she just has a problem with rhythm." Mr. Taisho said and stood up. "There are some in the building but I think Sesshomaru and his friends are out there so don't disturb them…To much."

Mitsuke got an evil grin on her face and dragged Kagome away and waved to her father. "We'll be back in a little bit." She called and ran outside.

When they got to the building, which to Kagome looked more like a barn, Mitsuke through opened the doors and ran inside. They could hear Sesshomaru and his band practicing up stairs.

"Mitsuke, I meant to ask you, why is your last name different from your fathers?"

"My mother wanted me to keep her last name."

"Oh, that's cool." Kagome said and sat down as Mitsuke grabbed two guitars and walked over to her.

"So what can you play?" She asked and handed one to Kagome.

Kagome thought for a moment and began to play.

~ Memories consume like opening the wound

I'm picking me apart again.

You all assume, I'm safe here in my room unless I try to start again.

I don't want to be the one the battle always choose, cause inside I realize

That I'm the one confused,

I don't know what's worth fighting for or why I have to scream,

I don't why I instigate and say what I don't mean,

I hurt much more than any time before, I have no options left again

"Sesshomaru, is that your sister down there?" Koga said and pointed to Mitsuke.

"Yes, that's her and the slave InuYasha got me for my Birthday… Hold on a second."

"Wow, Kagome that was great. Why don't you try to go big?" Mitsuke asked. "You could make it."

"I doubt that now come on…" Kagome handed her the pick and instructed her on the way she was strumming. "Not so fast, try to slow the pace down a little and move the pick away a little cause it's scrapping the side of it…"

"What are you doing in here.?" Sesshomaru snapped at Kagome. "I thought I gave you chores."

"Then you are correct but you father, whom might I add is much nicer and more pleasant to be around than some people told me I wouldn't be needed for the rest of the day sense I was the only one awake this morning. Other than Mitsuke obviously." Kagome said. "If you have a problem with it, then take it up with your father I'm sure he's more than willing to listen to your problems."

His eyes glowed red slightly and he smacked Kagome to the ground leaving a huge gash in her left cheek.

Kagome glared up at him as blood soaked her cloak. She sat cross-legged on the ground and focused on him as a pink glow surrounded her and she floated two feet up this time and slowly opened her pink and light red eyes.

Sesshomaru shot across the room and into a wall.

Kagome smirked and came down as her cheek slowly healed and rubbed it again. There would be a light scare there for a day or two. She jumped and growled under her breath. "I need to go change my shirt." She said and walked out.

"She's not a normal human.." InuYasha said.

"Yeah really," Mitsuke agreed. "Sense when do humans smell like flowers and honey."

Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow and went back up stairs.

"I guess I should go back also…" She said and ran out. "KAGOME!"

"I'm right here," Kagome said from the top of a tree.

Mitsuke jumped up next to her. "What are you looking at?"

"The Mountains. I can see my shrine from up here…You see that thing on top of the mountain, that's it."

"You're a miko, I thought there were no more."

"We are the last priests and priestesses in the country." Kagome said. "Tonight was supposed to be the night I was blessed with my mothers spell but I'll have to do it the old fashion way…" She cringed.

"Oh, well. Can I help?" Mitsuke asked.

"There's nothing anyone can do, no one can help me. It'll happen either way." She looked down and remembered what her father had told her once when she was still little. ` The most beautiful of us are the ones who have gone through the most suffering and pain…'

"Your father told you to suffer?!"

"No, what he said is basically the same as the more you give the more you receive." She sighed and jumped down. "I miss him so much."

"What was his name?"

"Blaze,"

"Blaze, that sounds familiar…" Mr. Taisho said and walked up to the two. "How have you been today."

"Fine other than the fact that your son is an ass." Kagome growled.

"He smacked her and put a huge gash on her right cheek the scare is still there." Mitsuke said and looked. "Yep, right there."

"You taunted him?"

"Not this time…" Kagome said and shook her head "I have no idea if it was something I said but I had to send him flying into a wall to get him away from me."

"I see, well lets go in, it's getting dark." Mr. Taisho said and smiled at the two girls.

They nodded and followed him in. Kagome went to her bedchambers and changed her shirt and got into bed.

She thought about her father for about an hour and wrote a letter to her mother until midnight.

She began to feel odd almost like she was drowning in the air. The jewel around her neck her father had given her pulsed and absorbed it's self into her skin.

`It's starting,' was her last thought before letting out a terrifying scream of pain.

Mitsuke jumped out of bed and followed the sound to Kagome's room. She burst through the door and found her crouching in the corner clutching her head.

"It won't stop," She whispered. "The pain won't go away…"

"DADDY!!!" Mitsuke yelled down the hallway. "DADDY, IT'S KAGOME SOMETHING IS HAPPENING!!"

Mr. Taisho ran out of his room and down the stairs to where she was. He felt Kagome pulse and rushed to her side. "Get out of here!" He said and noticed her blank eyes.

"She won't hurt anyone" A voice said. "She's to pure to cause real damage to the one's she cares about and those who care for her."

Mr. Taisho turned around but there wasn't anyone there. He turned back and sighed.

Kagome started to rise out of his arms and was covered in flames. Her Black hair was now white like snow with a few black feathers and her skin paler. The flames grew, exposing markings on her you wouldn't have though to see. A small black rose pentacle was on the corner of her left eye. And a red flame crescent moon caressed her forehead. Black streaks ran down her cheeks much like Sesshomaru's. The flames moved down to her nails turning them into black deadly claws that began to drip with red poison.

"A Phoenix," Mr. Taisho said as the flames died down and Kagome began to scream again. And rolled onto her knees. "DAMN IT!!!!" She began to pulse rapidly and clutch her head tighter as the pain increased.

He scooted as far back as he could and began to pale as a pair of black feathered wings pushed themselves out of her back and a white tail from her tail bone.

She fell over and panted as she unconsciously cast an illusion spell on herself.

"Oh my god," He said and picked her up and put her on her bed. "She, won't be don't much for a while I sure. Not after that."

"Let me go home…" Kagome whispered looking up at him, her once blue eyes had turned silver and gold. "My brother is clairvoyant. He'll tell my mother and she might go on a killing spree."

"We are prepared for such things." Sesshomaru said showing up at her door. "Father what are you doing in here?"

"She woke your sister and your sister woke me. It seems, that this…"

"Sure, go on back to sleep father… I'll have something done to her." Sesshomaru said.

"Sesshomaru, you shouldn't do any…"

"Father, she is my slave and my responsibility obviously, though I did expect something I never thought she'd have the never to wake us all up…"

Mr. Taisho shook his head and looked apologetically at Kagome the back at Sesshomaru with a hard look. "I hope you know what you are doing…Cause if you do something stupid!" he growled loudly. "I'll just let who ever decides to kick your stupid ass kick it!"

Sesshomaru glared as his father left then looked down at Kagome who was still panting slightly with her eyes tightly closed. "Get up wench," He growled and lifted her by her shirt collar.

"Put me down Sesshomaru…" She whispered with her eyes still closed. "I didn't do anything on purpose…"

"But you still did it and even accidents have consequences…" Sesshomaru sighed. "Will you open your eyes, you look like your…Just open your eyes!"

"Fine," Kagome snapped and opened them. "Happy!"

Sesshomaru stumbled back in shock but quickly composed himself. "You will do extra chores tomorrow and you obviously know a thing or two about guitars, continue to teach my sister and will tune the guitars everyday after my bands practice."

"Your little sister looks up to you, you know…" Kagome said. "Though I don't see how… You're cruel, cold and you ignore her the whole time. I don't see why she cares about you, brother or not."

"And what would you know about that, you and your perfect family. I lost my mother when I was ten years old!"

"AND I DON'T HAVE A PERFECT FAMILY, RIGHT NOW I DON'T EVEN HAVE A FAMILY. I HAD WATCH MY FATHER BE KILLED WHEN I WAS EIGHT YEARS OLD. YOU WERE WHAT ONE-HUNDRED AND FOURTY-FOUR AND WERE ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY WHEN YOUR MOTHER DIED!"

Sesshomaru pinned her to the wall and growled in her face. He looked at her through red eyes and sniffed. "Why do you cry? It doesn't suit you…"

"Because," She whispered. "My father couldn't be with me… When it was my turn…"

"Your turn for what?" He said softly and let her down. "What did he miss?"

"He missed my turning… He said the most beautiful of our kind don't use the spell but I'm not so sure I can believe it after that…" She looked down and wiped her eyes.

He looked her over and an smirked. "Your scent is a little stronger, flowers and honey…" He looked at her strangely. "It's changed cinnamon and ginger are mixed with it…Beautiful…" He inhaled her scent again.

"Could you just leave me alone right now, I'm tired and having a hard time staying awake right now as it is." Kagome said and blinked away her tears. "Goodnight Sesshomaru…"

He nodded and left her room.

*** ***

Kagome didn't wake up until way afternoon. She sat up and held her head in her hands. There was a knock at her door and it opened slowly.

"Kagome, can I come in?" Mitsuke asked.

"Yeah, sure," She said weakly. "Why wasn't I woke up?"

"Well," Mitsuke said sitting at the foot of her bed. " By some strange twist of fate Sesshomaru told me to let you sleep in today."

Kagome looked up. "Really, that seems out of character."

"I know, it was weird. I almost wanted to ask if he was feeling ok. But maybe he's infatuated with you. I know that InuYasha is." Mitsuke smiled. "He likes you."

"I really don't like him. He beat me when I was kidnapped and called me a human then tried to beat me again when I got here."

"So, father told me to take you to the hot-springs when you woke up so you could relax."

" Really, that was nice. Then again your father's nice in general… I like him, you two are the only ones that are nice to me."

"Her really is… But I love him anyhow." Mitsuke smiled. "So you wanna go?"

"Yeah, sure. " Kagome smiled and stood up. "It seems like so long sense I had a good soak. I think it's been one day…Maybe two."

Mitsuke giggled and walked out of the room.

Kagome brushed her hair and teeth and ran out after her.

*** ***

"Kagome?" She asked as she slipped in to the water. "What do you think of Sesshomaru?"

"What huh…Oh he's ok, hasn't beat the shit out of me yet. That's a plus and he actually talked like a normal….Demon, I think… At least how we speak in my family."

"You're a demon?! I thought you were human."

"I was until last night. It's how my family is. We're human for the first eighteen years."

"Oh, so what are you exactly?"

"Um…My mother is a fox/crow/ miko… and my father was a phoenix."

"That explains his name…I never heard of a human named Blaze." Mitsuke smiled. "I new something was strange when you didn't have that base human stench. Not that I have anything against humans."

"I know you don't…"

"So what do you think of Sessho, I mean, you can't hate him but do you like him?"

"He's ok, I really don't hate him, but he could be a little nicer. You know, if he was a little nicer I would might say he was my type. But I doubt he even thinks about anything but how to torture people in his spare time."

Sesshomaru sat at his desk and sighed. `I'm out of idea's.' he thought and turned his thoughts to a certain girl. `She does smell rather pleasant…I can't believe I called her scent beautiful… in front of her no less, but I do like her… NO, Stop that, you don't like her. You don't like anyone…But her… Damn it!!! I wonder if she tastes like she smells…'

"Sesshomaru," His father came in. "About your ball, it will be this Friday and I would like it if your `slave' were to have the night off. You know how some are around `humans' and she might lose control."

"Fine." Sesshomaru said. "Do I really have to have a ball…I want find a mate on my own terms."

"it's already been two years sense you became of age and you haven't considered anyone, a ball is required. Even your brother has a potential mate and he's seventeen. Now he's infatuated with that slave of yours."

"He can do what he wants with her."

"You don't mean that, I know you like her a little, she's the first one to ever stand up to you and will be the first one to deny you if you were to try it."

"I know that father, I too am slightly addicted to her scent but that is all, that is all it will ever be unless I happen to go into heat and need her to release some pressure."

"SESSHOMARU, you will not speak that way of such a nice girl!" Mr. Taisho growled at him. "Now, you will not touch her with out her permission. Her mother is a miko, the rumors are lies, they still do exist at the Higurashi Shrine. And they are powerful ones."

"Father the Higurashi are demons, like us. How would one give birth to a human?"

"Kagome is not human Sesshomaru. She changed last night, that's why we were all woken up… Do you remember my old phoenix/priest friend Blaze?"

"Yes, he married Aiko Higurashi, a demon/miko."

"Kagome's mother, Blaze is her father so please boy, put two and two together and use your brain."

Sesshomaru glared at his father and walked out. `I need a bath…' He thought and headed towards his half of the springs that he and his sister shared.

He stepped in and heard a splash.

"Mitsuke, what was that for?!" Kagome growled at her. "What did I do?!"

"You, totally have a crush on Sessho,"

"No I don't, just because I said someone looks good doesn't mean I have a crush on them." Kagome said and crossed her arms.

"Then why are you blushing?!" Mitsuke asked laughing. "hey I meant to ask…What do you really look like?"

Kagome grabbed a towel and stepped out of the water and dropped her illusion, though the wings weren't there at the moment.

"Beautiful!" Mitsuke said and stared.

Sesshomaru stood there in a daze as he stared at Kagome. `She's more beautiful than before…Maybe…NO, stop that!!! I will not, I don't even know her.'

"Hey Sesshomaru!" Mitsuke called as Kagome climbed back in the water and hung up her towel back up. "Come over here!" Mitsuke called. "Kagome changed!"

Sesshomaru nodded and dropped his towel stepping into the water. He smirked when he saw Kagome blush and looked down. Mitsuke ran and jumped on him.

`Thank god we're wearing bathing suits.' Kagome thought and sighed. `But his body is just…whoa, his body is beautiful.'

"Water fight!" Mitsuke yelled and splashed Kagome who tried to splash her back and splashed Sesshomaru who growled and tried to splash Kagome and Splashed Mitsuke.

Kagome smirked and made her way over to Sesshomaru and whispered something low enough that Mitsuke couldn't hear.

Sesshomaru nodded and that scared Mitsuke terribly.

Both looked at her and cupped their hands in the water and began to splash Mitsuke shamelessly until she finally got close enough to Kagome to pounce on her and push her in the water and began to tickle her sides.

"Mitsuke…I…Swear if you…Don't stop…That…I'm…So…Going to…Get…You…Later…" She laughed.

"How, I'll just tickle you again?" Mitsuke giggled.

"Like this!" Kagome said and wrapped her tail around her ankle and pulled her off. She stood up and her tail swished back and forth for a moment before she shook it off to dry it. She heard and annoyed grumble and looked at Sesshomaru. "Oh, I'm sorry…" She blushed.

He wiped off his face. "Mitsuke, are you going to be wandering around the ball on Friday?"

"Only if I'm aloud to destroy it from behind the scenes."

"Fine, anything to keep me from have to choose a mate from that ditzy group of girls…I hate them, they're to, to…"

"Sluty?" Mitsuke said laughing.

"Exactly,"

"So, ask someone to come with you, like…Kagome…You two would go great together…" She said and pushed Kagome at him causing her to fall against his chest and blush.

"S-sorry S-Sesshomaru…" Kagome stuttered as he helped her up. "I d-didn't… I just…sorry…"

Sesshomaru smirked at her. `So, she's nervous around me now…When did this happen? Perhaps she does have a crush on me.'

"What are you smirking at?!" Kagome growled and glared at him. "Hey, where'd Mitsuke go?! Damn it, I knew she'd do this, and I've only known her for what, two days." She sighed and shook her head. "Sesshomaru, If you don't mind me asking… Is she always like that?"

"For as long as she's been my sister." He said and shook off his tail in her face.

"What was that for?!" She said and splashed a little water back at him. "I said that I was sorry."

"I never accepted your apology." Sesshomaru said and sent a huge wave of water at her.

"Why you…" She growled and sent a huge wave of water of her own at him. "I actually apologized to you too!"

"Apologizes mean nothing to me, I see being a demon has not change the human blood that ran through your veins."

"Sesshomaru," Kagome said sternly standing up right. "I may have been human for eighteen years of my life but I never had human blood in my veins. Being human for those first eighteen years is how my family has survived sense ancient times, I suppose you don't understand so I'll explain. We don't die, so if you don't understand that then I guess you have more issues than I care to count."

She climbed out of the spring with Sesshomaru behind of her.

"Girl, you may not be human anymore but you are still mine and will be till I say otherwise!" He growled and grabbed her arm. "You are still mine to do what I please with!"

Kagome snatched her arm away and scowled. "I am nobody's but my own. I am no one's slave! I never will be anyone's, nor do I want to be anyone's! And if you so much as lay one finger on me I'll kick your ass to the next century!!!" She wrapped her tail around her waist and over her shoulder and grabbed her towel.

Sesshomaru glared at her. "I didn't say you could leave!"

"DID I ASK, YOU SON OF A BITCH! NO, I DIDN'T! SO DON'T ACT LIKE I DID, STUPID BASTARD!!!"

Sesshomaru pinned her to the wall. "You, WILL NOT speak to me in such a way, wench! If you do again I will…"

"What will you do beat me? You'll be just like your brother and I know you don't even like being related to him." Sesshomaru lifted her higher on the wall. "You only care about yourself, but that is only to be expected, don't you think Sesshomaru. Oh, and by the way, a wench is a whore. I'm very much still a virgin thanks."

He growled again but instead of tightening his grip on her neck he pressed his lips hungrily onto hers and licked her lower lip urging her to let him take it deeper.
