InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Set me free ❯ Meet the humble houshi ( Chapter 20 )
Part 20
When the little group awoke the next day they found Sesshoumaru to be gone. Inuyasha frowned; he did not like it at all. But he decided that they should be going anyway, if his brother wanted to travel with them again, he would easily find them.
After breakfast they were back on the road towards the northern mountains. Inuyasha was glad that Sango had decided to come along; her little sister was just the thing his little pup needed. The children run and jumped around as the went further north.
- Inuyasha, where did your brother go? asked Ayame and she knew that Sango were dying to ask the same question.
- I don't know, he have always been a sneaky bastard, perhaps he changed his mind and went back to his castle, said Inuyasha and sighed a bit.
"It was probably me who scared him off."thought Sango and felt tears well up behind her eyelids, but she managed to will them away before the fell down her cheeks.
A few hours later her fears was killed. Sesshoumaru came back to the little group and he had a small, almost an invisible smile on his lips.
- What are you so happy about? asked Inuyasha
- I have found us shelter in a monastery not far from here. It is located at the base of the mountain range where Hiten and Manten are supposed to be hiding, said Sesshoumaru, his eyes never left Sango.
- Oh, that is good, said Ayame.
- The monk I talked too said they had a real nice bath, a big hot spring if we needed to get cleaned up.
- I could really use a good clean up, said Sango more to herself than to the others. Her clothing still was stiff because of all the blood that had been shed yesterday.
- I thought you would like it taijya, said Sesshoumaru with a wicked smile and saw her pale and then blush deeply.
"I bet he wants to help her clean up."thought Inuyasha with a mischievously gleam in his eyes.
The temple was very beautiful and serene. But what struck them as odd was that it did not seem to be many monks inhabiting the place. They were greeted welcome by a young, handsome monk, he was dressed in dark blue and lilac dress and his short black hair had a little ponytail in the back of his neck.
- Buddha's blessing to you travellers, he said and bowed respectfully.
- Thank you for taking us in for the night, said Sango and bowed her head.
- My name is Miroku, and I am the high priest of this shrine, if there is anything I can do for you, do not hesitate to ask.
- Thank you Miroku-sama, said Ayame.
- Please come this way.
Shippou and Rin danced around in the big courtyard and the high priest smiled. It had been too long since the temple had children playing around. He thought of it as a blessing and he thanked the high Buddha for their visit.
They were given three rooms, one for Ayame and Inuyasha, one for the children and Sango paled when her and Sesshoumaru was shown the third room. "No, I can not share my quarters with that hentai." She thought and she shook her head.
- I will be sleeping outside, she stated.
- No, you will be sleeping in here, said Sesshoumaru and grabbed her arm and pulled her inside the room.
- Let go of me you pervert!!
- Don't be a bitch about it taijya, just get in there.
Inuyasha and Ayame sighed and took the children with them for another walk. They found the hot springs and the children were yelling in ecstasy before undressing and then they jumped into the warm water. The high priest came by with a bunch of towels for them to use. He watched the children and he smiled softly.
- I am happy to hear their laughs, he said with a serene voice.
- Why is that Miroku-sama? asked Ayame.
- Since the demon brothers wiped out most of the villages around here, there are no laughing children. I have not heard children laugh for a very long time, said Miroku. I see your visit as a blessing to this temple even if you are demon and half demon.
- Me and my mate would like to have some time alone, could you perhaps then watch over them? asked Inuyasha and got a glare from Ayame.
- Of course, I would be happy to look after them for you Inuyasha-sama, said Miroku with a heart warming smile.
- Good, come on mate, purred Inuyasha and took Ayame in his arms.
Long leaps took them outside the temple and he found a great tree to settle down in. A wicked smile grazed his lips, he had dreamed about doing it in a tree and now he was going to make sure that dream came true.
