Chapter 2: Secret of the Shattered Beads

They had been sitting there for nearly 20 minutes and neither of them had said anything else when Shipo came bounding up to them laughing loudly.

"What are you two doing, Miroku come this it'll make your day"

"What are you talking ab…. What are you two doing"

(It had been three years since the quest had started and everyone could sense the tension between Inu Yasha and Kagome.)

"Finally hooked up I see… well it took you long enough"

Inu Yasha was just sitting there staring at Kagome who was in turn staring back at him, they had been like this for quite some time now.

*** Oh my gods, I could have lost her, I was going to die for her, but the beads they, they saved us, but how, how did they know **** Inu Yasha was thinking to himself he could still not brake his gaze with Kagome, he had barely even noticed the presence of other people.

**** He was going to die to save me, he said he loved me, ohh my gods he said it I have to say it to , I have to tell him that I love him too**** Kagome thought to her self, she didn't even realize anyone was in the vicinity.

"Shipo I think we need to live them alone for right now"

Miroku had noticed the pile of jumbled newly fallen rocks beside them and the fact that Inu Yasha's rosary was gone. Being the smart monk he is (I couldn't resist *-*, he's so cute), he quickly concluded what might have happened.

"Kagome are you alright" Shipo asked nervously putting his head in front of Inu Yasha's gaze…

But Inu Yasha instantly pushed him away screaming "No, No, No, I won't lose her again!!" as he pulled her tightly against her chest.

"Shipo, now, we must leave right now, this is none of are business" the monk had become quite serious as he dragged a whining Shipo away from the scene.

Now that their gaze had been broken Kagome felt the ability to speak again come back to her.

"Inu Yasha… I… you saved me…. And you said…. Inu Yasha I Love you t…"

But that was all she got to say before Inu Yasha Pulled her even closer to him and said

" Nothing will ever hurt my Kagome" He said his voice sounded somewhat childish but loving all the same.

"Kagome is mine, I love her, nothing can have or hurt her, Kagome is mine"

"Inu Yasha… I Love you too" this time she finished what she was saying before Inu Yasha pulled her face even to his….

Inu Yasha was staring right into her eyes "When I thought I was going to lose you…

I… when you die your life is supposed to flash before your eyes, and all I saw was you, smiling, running, laughing, slapping Miroku…, (he paused Catching his breath)

I had to tell you the truth, I wouldn't have been able to die without you knowing the truth and I couldn't have lived with you dead, I have thought about it before, when Kikyo died she always tied to get me to come to hell with her but I would never ever go…"

He looked even deeper into her now crying eyes "and I told myself that if you ever died I would kill myself and join you where ever you were because I can't live without you…"

He paused again breathing shallowly…" I can't even bring myself to picture life without you" with that he finished. But there faces had seemed to come even closer…. He had regained his senses and could sense the sweet intoxicating aroma all around them.

"Inu Yasha" Kagome said quietly "Kiss me"

Ten Minutes later they had broken there kiss and began to walk back to camp,. At first Inu Yasha wanted to carry Kagome there, but she insured him that holding hands with her would be just as safe.

"Kagome!!!!!!!!"

A screaming Shipo who had managed to escape the monk, came bounding down the rode.

"Inu Yasha, Kagome what happened are you two alright?" said a Miroku as he chased the little kitsune down, buit he did not have to, he ran right into shipo whio had stopped dead in his tracks.

"There….There…" said a confused shipo

"This is not for yours eyes to see" said Miroku noticing that they were holding hands.
