Chapter Two: You're By My Side

Last Time:

They walked in compatible silence, hand in hand, as some petals flew all around them.

This Time:

"YASH! Get up! We're going to be late!" Kagome yelled at the sleeping boy. He looked up at her, his amber orbs foggy with sleep. One of his cute little doggie ears twitched irritated as she came storming into his room. "Inuyasha Taiko! Get up this instance!" she yelled at him. When he didn't move, she jumped on the bed. She started jumping on it like a hyper kid and finally stopped as he tackled her on the bed. She screamed and tried to get away. But he had her. And he was tickling her like mad.

When they're little war was over, Inuyasha got dressed while Kagome re-brushed her hair, still sitting on his bed. "Kagome-do we HAVE to go shopping?" Inuyasha complained as he pulled on a shirt.

"Yes," she replied. "Your promised you'd come clothes chopping with me! Remember?" She gave him puppy dog eyes, and he sighed in defeat. He put on his hat and they both got their money. Kagome grabbed his hand and they took the bus to the mall. The first thing they did at the mall was go to some clothes store. Kagome bought a dark green spaghetti-strap dress that had slits on each side. She then proceeded to drag Inuyasha to Suncoast where she looked thru all the magna books. After several Trigun magna's and a few CD's, they went to go eat lunch.

Kagome had some teriyaki chicken and Yash some BBQ chicken. They then went home. Kagome called her friend Sango and asked her to come over. Then, Inuyasha called his friend Miroku and asked the same thing. Ya see, Kagome and Yash had this crazy plan to get the two together, while Sango and Miroku had their own crazy plan to get Kagome and Yash together, more so than roommates. Kagome popped in a CD from Utada Hikaru and set it on Simple and Clean. Inuyasha on the other hand plopped down on the couch. He took off his hat and closed his eyes.

Kagome grinned and crept over to the supposedly slumbering hanyou. She started rubbing his ears, since she couldn't get it out of her system. I mean! God! They were so cute and fluffy! The next thing she knew was that she was on top of Inuyasha, their faces mere centimeters apart. It was at this time that Miroku decided to walk in the door. He froze when he saw the two. "Ya know Yash. If your going to call someone over to hang with, you could have at least had a friend that I could make out with too," he said, as the two turned bright red.

SMACK. Miroku had a bump on his head as Sango walked by. "Stupid lech," she mumbled. Sango plopped down on one of the armchairs and turned to Kagome. "Thanks SOOO much for getting me outta my house Gome. Kohaku was being a brat!" Sango said her brothers name very fondly indeed though, very fondly. Miroku took a seat next to Kagome and draped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close.

"And how have you been my lovely Kagome?" he asked her. The answer he got was a growl and Kagome being ripped from his arms and into Inuyasha's. Inuyasha glared at him as Kagome blushed a bit, but looked angry all the same. Sango decided that this was a good time for her to interrupt before another fight started.

"Is this a new CD Kagome?" she asked. Kagome pushed herself from Inuyasha's embrace and tried to compose herself. She got up and plopped down on another armchair.

"Yup! Yash and I went shopping today," she replied. "Anyway, do you guys wanna catch a movie or something? My treat!" They all agreed and drove in Miroku's car to the movies. At the movies, they sat as following: Yash, Kagome, Sango, and Miroku. They had watched a funny movie, and it was late when the movie finished, around 1AM. (Well-they watched several funny movies…) Kagome was asleep, being carried by Yash, and Sango was half-asleep, but still composing herself. Miroku was hyper, and Yash seemed to be the only sane one. He opened the door for Sango, who promptly fell asleep in the passenger side, and Miroku fastened her seatbelt. Yash got into the backseat with Kagome. Kagome was leaning against him, her head on his chest, and he wrapped his arms around her waist protectively. And that's how they drove home; Yash thinking `I'm so glad that I have you by my side Kagome.'
