InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ She Watched ❯ She Watched ( Chapter 1 )

Author's Note: Yeah; I'm all for the hating Kikyo and crud like that- but I can't freakin help feeling sorry for her at some points. You know; when she's not helping Naraku, trying to kill Inuyasha, trying to drag him to hell, attempting to kill Kagome, being with Inuyasha in front of Kagome… What was my point again?
~She Watched~
She wandered the land; searching for a revenge she knew would never be hers. If Naraku didn't destroy him; the girl would protect him. So, she walked; her feet leading to a place her heart not dared go. Souls were carried a long beside her by her very soul collectors.
When she thought of meeting him face to face; all she felt was rage, hatred, and dare she say it- pain. It was easier to believe that the reason he stayed away was because of his dislike towards her; than to admit it was the girl he would rather be with.
She entered a forest. The forest. Why would she bring herself to such a place? Knowing the heartbreak she would feel; seeing him. His eyes. They held so much sorrow every time she met them. Did she cause it? Was she the cause of the sorrow that burned deep in his amber eyes?
She walked through the forest; the trees becoming more familiar. She shielded any scent of herself; not wanting to attract any attention. Her time was short and she knew this. If she could not exact her revenge… then she would see the one thing she had once only dreamed of.
Laughter in the distance led her on. Led her to an opening of a grassy field. There, she saw him. With her. Their companions as well.
“Oi! Shippo, where the hell do you think you're going with that?!”
The small fox demon scampered a little ways before turning and standing on his haunches. “Its mine you big meanie!”
“Why you!” He stood up and began to chase the young thing.
She watched. `He enjoys this.' She realized. For she knew he could've easily caught the young fox and retrieve whatever was in his mouth.
The girl shouted one word and Inuyasha plummeted to the ground. She watched as the girl knelt by him; talking to him.
She couldn't hear what was being said; but to see him sit up and look down at her with such intensity; left little to the imagination.
Yes; he was happy; whether it showed or not. This was the one thing she wished to see. If she couldn't watch him suffer, she'd watch him be happy.
`Goodbye…Inuyasha…' She disappeared to the next world, her heart aching at the loss of the one she truly loved.
The End.
