Chapter two: A Family

 

“My name is Kagome, from kindergarten to grade three, you bullied me, lied about me left right and center, an on that final day you put glue on my chair the poured pencil shaving on my head.”

 

As Kagome was starting to speak Sango stepped up before Kagome could get a word out.

“Lying Dog, be warned that if you say anything mean about B.D, we will not listen to her. But we will shred you to pieces for---”

 

“Enough come.”

 

“Yes, B.D” they murmured as the shot Inuyasha death glares over their shoulders as they walked away.

 

“That still didn't answer my question, wench.”

 

Rin turned around and walked back to Inuyasha, “Get back to us when we don't feel like ripping you to mince-meat and Black Death might answer to you.”

 

“Keh, what ever.” `What did she mean black death?'

At lunch the girls went out side to hang by the cherry blossom tree. The tree itself was bare even during the spring, for long ago it had held a foul curse upon it.

Kagome had fallen asleep while hanging by her knees from one of the branches, while Sango sat on the one opposite of her. Shinju and Rin sat at the base of this tree talking of the encounter that morning, and Ayame just leaned up against the tree.

Her (Ayame), eyes snapped open when she heard Inuyasha, walking over.

 

“Pig, what do you want now?”

 

“To talk to your boss.”

 

Ayame heaved a dramatic sigh acting like she was to good to a messenger.

“Oi! B.D,” Kagome's eyes snapped open when Ayame spoke, “Pardon my interruption of your sleep but, Mutt-face here wants to talk with you.”

 

“What is it Taishio? You do realise it is extremely rude to wake someone up when their sleeping?”

 

“Actually I was sent here by that wimpy wolf, he wants to talk to you.”

 

“Well if he wanted to talk to me bad enough he would come over here himself.”

 

“Keh!”

 

“What was that supposed to mean?”

 

“Nothing.”

 

“Really?”

 

“Keh.”

 

“If he really wants to talk to me tell him to come to me, I'll be here.”

“Oi! Kouga!”

 

“Where is she mutt?”

 

“Her message: `I you really want to talk to me then walk up to me and TALK!'”

 

“That was really her message?”

 

“Yup.”

 

“Then take her this message---”

 

“Sorry no can do, if I go back I was told I would die a slow and painful death, courtesy of this Black Death person.”

All the girls snapped to attention as Kouga waltzed up to Kagome, but not before receiving a warning growl from her friends.

 

“What is your business with our leader?” Shinju demanded.

 

“My business? Talking to her.”

After receiving some cold glares and death looks, he was allowed to approach Kagome.

 

“Pretty defensive friends you got yourself.”

 

“I sincerely doubt that that is what you came to talk about.”

 

“I wanted to ask you if you felt like going out tonight.”

 

“Unless you wish to start digging your grave I'd warn you to with draw that offer.”

 

“Why?”

 

“Turn around.”

When he had turned around he was facing four growling girls, two were hanyous, one was a demon slayer and one was a demon, all of which were ready to rip his flesh to shreds.

 

“Very, extremely, unhealthily over protective friends.”

 

“We're a family, we have no one but ourselves to rely on.”

 

“I'm sorry, I didn't know.”

 

“Don't be. No one doses. Oh and by the way tell anyone [here is when she uses her demon speed to get in his face] and I swear on our mothers graves that you will pay for telling, you will pay dearly.”

Kouga just gulped.

 

“Got that wolf?”

 

“Got it.”
