Silver hair, windblown
dancing across red draped back,
solemn sentinel
waiting while the others talk
another day to search on.

Silver hair, touched pink
by red light of evening fire
he sleeps sitting up
long sword pressed to his shoulder,
watching even as he sleeps.

Silver hair cascades
over the pink coverlet,
vigilence relaxed
surrounded by her fragrance,
the true marker of his home.
