Sesshomaru: I'm telling you for the last time, don't do that!

Angeltiger: *still dancing* Why?

Sesshomaru: *eyes the two men creeping towards her wilth a straight jackets* No reason..

Midnight:*whispers*Sesshoumaru-sama...don't provoke her...

Kagome: *rolls eyes* Oh yeah, this chapter drops the f-bomb. Sorry for offending some of you.

Angeltiger: No I'm not! I'm sick of being all polite! I wanna let the real me out of that stupid closet you made me put her in!

Kagome: *sighs* A little piece at a time Angel-chan. I don't think the world is ready for the true you just yet...

Silence

Ch. 8

Kagome, now a little more knowledgeable about her predicament, glanced softly to her kit's head as she spoke, "So...that's what happens."

Sesshomaru said nothing.

She sighed, "So, when will I be allowed to leave?"

"You are free to leave when you wish. I will not miss your scent."

She felt her cheeks heat up in anger, but brushed it aside. "Anytime?"

"I would suggest you wait, your mate will be here shortly."

"What!?" He wanted her to stay? For him to get her!? {He must be in league with Kazuki.} "Why do you help him?"

Sesshomaru glared, "I am amazed at how much air resides in your head girl."

She ignored him, "So you are holding me here for him?"

At this point Sesshomaru was growling, "You do know that is the second false accusation you have made on me.

She glared, "False?"

"I do not ally myself with the like of him."

Kagome's face turned red, "I'm sorry I'm-"

"Drawing your thoughts from the air in your head again?" He repeated.

She smiled sadly and nodded, "Yeah...and a bit depressed"

"Human emotions are as useless as the ones that carry them."

"...what?!"

Sesshomaru had a gleam in his eyes that she'd hadn't seen in them before, "Then again, you won't be human much longer, will you?"

Now seething with anger, Kagome's hand raised instinctually to claw his flawless face. She jerked it back, controlling her anger. Instead she settled for turning her back on him and snorting. A shame too, she missed the surprise that flickered across his stoic face.

{What is with this girl?} He wondered briefly if he should kill her then and there. Only she and his idiot brother had ever disobeyed him. Except for that idiot Totousai, but Sesshomaru had a sneaking suspicion that man was not right in the head. {At least she seems to have more control over her actions.} He noticed, {Inuyasha would have struck at me without a second thought.}

"I offered for you to stay so that he wouldn't get to you. Not that you await his arrival to take you."

Slowly, Kagome turned around. "Really?"

"I am getting irritated, girl. This Sesshomaru does not lie."

"Fine." She patted Shippo's head absentmindedly. "But there has to be something I can to do help."

The demon Lord glanced at the kit in her arms, deciding there was something he could use her for. "You will assist Rin."

"Rin?"

"My...long-term house guest."

"Ahhh...so you want me to be some kind of...servant?"

He shook his head, "I have enough of those. I want you to teach her, I do not have the time or patience or I would do it myself. And I do not trust her in the hands of demons. You obviously have a way with children." He nodded to the kit, curled up into a ball in her arms.

"Yeah...so she's a child...why wouldn't you trust someone you know with her?"

"Everyone I know is a demon. And a human that I could find might turn on her."

She tilted her head, "Wouldn't she be able to fight a human?"

"Rin is but a human child."

"Ahhhhhh, sorry, I didn't know." She looked down, lost in herself. {He's taking care of a human child? That can't be right...that isn't the Sesshomaru I know...}

Sesshomaru raised an eyebrow, "Something wrong with her being human?"

"Oh! No!" {Think fast, gotta avoid the subject...ah!} "So, Sesshomaru-sama, what would you like me to teach her?"

He nodded at her respect, "One thing in particular. She has this...irritating habit of referring to herself in third person.." Actually he felt it annoying as hell, but she didn't have to know that.

"I see, when do you want me to start?"

He looked out his study window, noting the sun was already almost to the highest point in the sky. He stood. "Come with me."

"Wait!" She ran after him, surprised when she found he had actually stopped, "What about Shippo?" Upon hearing his name, the kit immediately waked and jumped on his mama's shoulder.

"The fox?"

"Uh huh."

"He may stay as well. He should provide himself as a sufficient playmate." He turned fully around and looked the kit in the eyes, unnerving him a bit. "How old are you?"

Shippo puffed out his chest, "I'm ten!"

Sesshomaru snorted and continued in his walking, "You look about six."

Shippo gaped, "I do not!

Kagome giggled, "Don't argue with him Shippo."

"But he-wait, where'd he go?"

Kagome looked around her. Sure enough, the taiyoukai was nowhere to be found. While she walked backwards, she nearly toppled over a small imp with twin pink stripes. "Oh, excuse me."

The imp waved it off, "You are to come with me."

Kagome nodded, following the imp. She could tell this one was definitely female. Her voice was a bit higher, and her figure slimmer. Plus she didn't think pink was exactly a man's choice in color. "Where is Sesshomaru?"

The pink frowned at the lack of honorific in the girl had in her master's name, but Kagome didin't notice. "He sent us to accompany you."

Kagome blinked, "Us?"

No sooner had she asked when two more pink striped imps walked from seemingly out of the shadows. Each sported only a single stripe. They bowed slightly before taking their spots on either side of the first imp.

"Ohhhh...us..." Kagome muttered, "Wait a sec, accompany me where?"

"Rin's wing."

Kagome gasped, "She has a whole wing?!"

*nod*

{Talk about spoiled!} She sighed and followed after them in silence, Shippo asleep on her shoulder with his limbs dangling. {How can anyone sleep like that?} She wondered, smiling warmly at him.

When her vision fell back into place in front of her, she noticed the imp with two stripes was also a bit taller than the others. {I'll have to ask what all these stupid stripes mean next time I see Sesshomaru.}

{Almost there!} He ran faster than he ever thought possible, {Just a little further ahead!}

Kouga came to a screeching halt at an abandoned camp. After sniffing around, he knew for a face that Kagome and her crew had been there. Sometime within 24hours. {Kuso!}

His eyes noticed a still-cooling firepit towards the center of the encampment. The ground around it was broken and disheveled, with clumps of dirt sprawled a foot or so away, signifying a hasty leave.

He followed their faint scent to a pond, his eyes not missing a weird triangular piece of fabric near the bushes. He picked it up, sniffed it, then threw it down in realization. {That's-that's-}

He had finally smelled what he feared, Kazuki's stench mingled with Kagome's heavenly scent.

Damn him! He cursed, shaking. His hand curled into a tight fist, not even noticing the blood that dribbled down his claws. He took a sharp breath, unintentionally taking in the smell of her blood, making his blood boil even more.

God dammit! I will Kill him! Kouga swore, his eyes flashing red with hatred. How dare he, how DARE he to this to my Kagome! I'm gonna find him and rip his fucking head off!

After a few minutes of breathing, the red began to dull to his normal white and violet. First thing comes first,} He thought, forming his plan. I need to get to Kagome and see if she's alright. So...I need to find her friends. Nodding to himself in confirmation, he took off west, leaving only a small whirlwind behind him.

With the speed he was running, it took only a few minutes to catch up to the group. He noticed with a sinking heart that Kagome's lavender scent was nowhere near them. And once again his eyes bled red, almost matching the haori of the one he could see in the distance, the one he would attack for letting that rouge take his Kagome.

Angeltiger: Wow, that was kinda short wasn't it?

Angry Reader #1: Why are you stopping there?

Angeltiger: Yeah, my Grandmother keeps ringing her damn bell. So I need to get off of here before I take my baseball bat to her for interrupting me. I'll update soon I hope.

Kouga: You'd better cuz, I can't wait to get my hands on dog-turd.

Angeltiger: Shut it. And all of you, *points to readers* had better be grateful. Do you know what I have to go through just to use the damned computer to update for you?! She makes me rub lotion...ALL OVER HER...*shivers* And that is nothing compared to-

Sesshomaru: Ahhh haha...that's enough Angel. You wouldn't want to give the readers nightmares would you?

Angeltiger: I get them...why shouldn't' they?

Sesshomaru: Because that's not nice.

Angeltiger: *nods* Please reward me with reviews. It's not that much to ask is it? I hate to be a review whore, but sometimes that's what I need to make myself feel better. It makes me see that I'm not going through all this crap for absolutely nothing...*starts to sob* I hate this!

Kagome: *rubs back* Don't mind her, it's late, the devil won't give her a break, and she's tired.

Angeltiger: Don't make excuses for me. *stands up* Flame me! Do whatever you want to me! I just don't care anymore. I honestly don't like the way this story is going anymore, and I don't think anyone that has reviewed does either. Thanks for the pity guys...

Midnight: Yes...please pity my sister. She has had a rough time....
