The pale moon shone lightly all over the frost-covered ground. Footsteps began to crunch through the silent night. Crushing the peaceful tone that was carried through the park.
A pale young woman is running, as quick as I heard the foot steps and saw her she was gone. I had a strange sense to follow her, I was curious as to why some one would be running around this late at night. Especially with no coat, which it just dawned on me, she didn't have on.
I ran in the direction she went, with my demon hearing I could tell where she was. I kept going, I sniffed the air. How could a human run so fast? I finally came to a clearing. A perfect circle made from the trees. The pale moonlight seemed to be only hitting her. I went to her side; the breath was barely there. I cold still smell the fear, why did I not pick up on that at first. Her scent was changing. How, I was becoming confused. I took another sniff. She is a miko. How strange. I thought they were extinct.
I picked her up bridal style. She was light, and seemed to only be made of her bones and skin. She was like a small dog that cruel people keep in a cage and only feed about once a week. I could feel her ribs through her shirt.
This wasn't the way I had planned on spending my evening. I had engagements to attend. But for some reason I couldn't leave the woman alone. I put her in my black convertible mustang. To the hospital it was all other engagements were leaving my mind I only cared about helping this woman out.
It was about 5 am when I reached the hospital I was on the road for an hour, she finally began to stir. Her beautiful blue eyes opened the fear spiked it was worse than before, and as suddenly as it spiked it was gone. This miko had learned to control most of her powers. It was extraordinary through the demon world we were told that the miko's were gone that they had all been wiped out about 100 years ago when Naraku had gained most power over the humans and demons. No one knows how he had managed it. He had people following him and had he gotten wind of a miko he would have them taken into custody, that's right he controlled the government, most of it anyway. But some how this young woman escaped him and kept her secret hidden.
“Where am I?” she asked in such a small voice had I not had demon hearing I wouldn't have heard her.
“I found you unconscious in the middle of the forest, I am bringing you to a hospital” I replied to her as I gently scooped her up.
She pulled back from me when I went to pick her up.
“Please I need to get home, I can't be here. I need to be home. He is going to be mad I left. Can you please just take me home?” her voice was small and weak but I couldn't just take her to what she was running from she needed to be looked at she had bruises all over her and more still forming. She was trembling in her seat.
I reached in the car and grabbed her. Picked her up and walked into the hospital.
“You need to be checked out you don't look good.”
I stalked into the hospital this woman was infuriating me.
`Why does she not wan help.'
This is the reason I hate dealing with women. Every time I try to help them they get snippy or insist that they in fact do not need my help, I guess she wasn't snippy though but why couldn't she just accept my help. I don't even understand why I am letting her get to me. I am Sesshomaru women should not bother me as this one does.
-New Point of View-
“I just want to go home” my voice was meek and modest. I was surprised when he even acknowledged that he heard me.
“As I told you the first time…. NO” he took a deep breath and proceeds to talk to me some more.
“You need to see a doctor do you not notice how badly you look right now”
My self confidence dropped did I really look this bad, I barely had time to grab my shoes to run out of the house, let alone check the mirror to see what the bastard did to my face this time.
`OH SHIT! Koga he would surly be looking for me by now and if he found out I was receiving help. I don't even want to think about it.
“Do you have a phone I could use?” again my voice barely a whisper slowly I let up my concealment spell so I could sense out if he was a demon that surly would explain the hearing.
`Dog demon, I knew he was' slowly I put my spell back up I didn't want him to know what I was … hell even Koga didn't know. I don't know that I can trust anyone with the knowledge of what I am surly Naraku would find out and have me contained with the rest.
“Yes” his voice was gruff. Roughly he reached into his pocket and pulled out his sleek phone, then threw it at me gracefully. I tried to catch it but I t hit my square in the face. He looked slightly apologetic. I took this time to actually take in his features. He has the most gorgeous beautiful golden eyes. His long silvery blonde hair reached straight to his back. He was a god.
“Well are you going to call someone or not!” his voice was still rough but held a gentler tone to it now.
“Oh.Yyyyeeesss” I managed to stutter out. I dialed the number I knew from heart. My heart skipped a beat when it started to ring
“Kagome this better be you!” the voice boomed out of the phone I was sure the strange man who was helping me head it as well, for he raised a slender eyebrow at me.
“Yes Koga, it's me… I am at the hospital right now…I'm sorry”
-Sesshomaru's Point of view-
`Why is she apologizing for getting help?' I was completely bewildered now. I could hear bits and pieces of them talking. She turned and looked at me with tears seeming to fall out of her bright blue eyes.
“Which hospital are we at?” she asked meekly as if feeling inferior to me now. I kindly turned to her.
“Shikon General” she repeated the name to whom ever was on the phone and pulled the phone away from her ear when the screaming began again
“Why the hell would you let some one you don't fucking know take you to the hospital. Do you not remember what happened the last time you decided to get doctors help Kagome? Need I remind you” she started to shake clearly very upset about what ever it was that the man on the phone was saying. I heard all of what he said yet it just wasn't processing in my head,
“it wasn't my choice koga please” she begged into the phone.
“ I will be there in 15 minutes” Koga screamed about half of the waiting room probably heard him.
