The girl shivered it was cold out for the middle of April and she was unprepared

In her black skirt and red short sleeved blouse. “Why does the bus have to be late on a cold day?” the girl asked herself as she pulled her light black jacket closer to her body.

The girl sighed as she stared up the empty road then she turned to look at her house again

She frowned it was too late for her too go back inside now the doors were locked and she had forgotten her keys. She fished her cell phone out of her pocket eight-thirty the bus had never been this late before, she sighed and put her phone in her pocket and continued to look up the road.

The sound of a car coming down the road brought the girl out of her daze that she had befallen in. she stared up the street hoping to see something big and dirty yellow. The girl sighed again when she seen it was a black van slowly coming down the road. The van stopped in front of her and the windows roll down slowly she just stared. “Excuse me do you now were dilly road is?” a kind voice asked from inside the van. For some reason a memories from when she was in elementary school popped into her head about not talking to strangers, but she wasn't in elementary school anymore she was a freshman in high school, so she pushed the feeling down. “Um...yes it's the other way; you had too passed it to get here.” She said smiling the man frowned his forehead creasing even though the girl thought he didn't look

Too much older then her. “Really...” the man said with a thoughtful look. “I didn't see it” he said then suddenly smiled. “Will you show me where it is? I really need to get there, my mother lives there and she's sick” the girl frowned he seemed to be telling the truth and maybe he could take her too school her hands had went numb from the cold. “I can understand if you don't trust me I'll find her house somehow…..” He said as he was about to pull off “wait! I'll show you if u take me too school.” What could it hurt he seemed nice “great thank you” he said and opened the passenger side door. She hesitated as she got into the car the man smiled at her. “What's your name?” he asked, she frowned for some reason she felt like something wasn't right but she pushed it down and answered his question “Kagoma.”

 

The man looked at kagoma and smiled “that's a pretty name.” The man said turning back to the road in front of him. “Thank you what's your name?” the Kagoma asked shyly “Nage” he said keeping his yes on the road. Kagoma sighed as she looked out the window “there's the turn” she said pointing to the road that was coming up. “Oh…?” Nage said raising his eyebrow “yeah just turn” kagoma said feeling a pang of panic when he showed no sign of turning. The man only smiled and passed the turn, “y-you missed your turn….you can turn…” she trailed of the man still said nothing. Kagoma panic was growing, “w-what are you doing you missed your turn?!” she shouted in his ear. Nage smile quickly left his young face “will you shut up!” he shouted at her hands tightening on the steering wheel. Kagoma stared at the man what had she gotten herself into? “What about your mother?” she asked him almost in a whisper fearing already knowing the answer. Nage gave a bitter laugh “my mother died ten years ago.” He laughed “b-but what are you going to do with me” he smiled “I'm kidnapping you, I thought you where a smart girl, guess not, I'm tired of you talking.”

Kagoma was silent, she was terrified, how could she had been so stupid getting into a car with a stranger, and now she was paying for it. The whole five hours what it felt like to her in the car with her kidnapper she was thinking of how to escape? It would have been suicide to jump out the car they had been on the highway for what she believed to be three hours. Kagoma stuck her hands into her jacket pocket and feeling her cell phone she took a quick glance at her captor, he seemed to be totally focused on the road. She slowly pulled it out of her pocket hiding it from her captor with her leg. She pressed the nine on her phone and winced when it made a loud noise, afraid Nage had herd she looked up at him to see him staring at her. “What are you doing?” he asked roughly, her heart pond against her ribs as she tried to answer. “n-no n-nothing” she said quickly as she tried to put it back in her pocket. Her captor quickly swung into a rest stop and got out of his car and walked over to her door yanking it open roughly. “Don't lie to me!” he said angrily as he pulled her out of the van so hard the cell phone fell out of her pocket. Both stared at the pink cell, one in augury one in fear. “This! This is what you were trying to use?!” he said augury as he picked up the phone and slammed it hard on the ground making it fall to pieces. He then backhanded her making her fall back on the dashboard hot tears fell from her eyes. He slammed her car door almost on her legs if she hadn't moved them, he walked back to the drivers seat and started the van and pulled out of the rest stop.

Silence once again filled the van.
