"Kagome-chan..."
"Inuyasha-kun, sweetie, do you know her?" Kikyo drawled from behind him, sending an icy glare towards the singer.
Glancing nervously from between his girlfriend, and his former best friend, he barley noticed their resemblance. Kikyo had the same facial structure as Kagome, except for Kikyo's eyes were a dark brown where as Kagome had cerulean blue eyes.
She stood there, staring down the two of them. Tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, she looked up at Inuyasha.
`He's not going to do anything, is he?' Shaking her head, she opened her mouth to reply.
"Hey, wench." He greeted, his eyes softened and he looked away. Kikyo smirked triumphantly, as she started to lead Inuyasha away by the arm. "What're doing back so soon, eh? You sure left quick enough last time." Kagome, who until then was glaring at Kikyo, turned in shock. Hadn't they told him? His little girlfriend got her dad transferred..."Surprised your back at all."
"You know what, Takiya? Maybe you should just ask your little girlfriend, I'm sure she'd be able to tell you why I left."
"I had nothing to do with it," Kikyo feigned innocence, holding onto Inuyasha's arm. "See, Yashie? She's always been so mean..."
"You little bitch," She spat out. "Don't you try to blame this all on me,I would never had left them."
"I never did like Kikyo..." Ayame thought outloud, causing the people beside them to shush her.
"I don't need this shit, I'm going," Pushing her way through the small crowd, she managed to get to her guitar before she started to run, feeling everybody staring at her.

Miroku's eyes narrowed.
`Damn Kikyo...she would have to ruin something like that. Fuck.' Of course he knew, too, about Kikyo's elimination plan. He heard her faint call, and mentally cursed Kikyo again. Somehow, when Inuyasha and Kikyo started going out, she had been pushed farther and farther away from them. Kikyo probably didn't want any girl near him, but---there was nothing he could really do now.
Ignoring the voices of Kouga and Hojo, he managed to get to the student parking lot. Kicking a few of the loose pebbles he started to think. It would probably be easier to get her back since Kagome was here, right?
"Waiting for someone, Sakuya?" He heard a voice behind him.
"Oh, it's you." He huffed, looking at the wolf-demon.
"Gee, thanks. It so great to feel loved around here, y'know? Sango's coming, if you wanna talk to her." She stated.
"Uh-thanks,...uh..."
"Ayame."
"Thanks, Ayame."

"She got what was coming, Yashie." Kikyo stated. He stood there, still staring at the place where she had once been.
"Kikyo...Did you have anything to do with it?" He asked, taking a step away.
"Oh...Of course, not. You're going to believe what some run-away bitch tells you over what I say?" She spat out.
"No, love." He sighed. How many times had she lied to him? Running a hand through his hair, he led the small group through the school courtyard to the parking lot.
"Later, ne?" Kouga asked from behind a half-open car door.
"Uh, Kikyo?" He held onto her arm as she went for her car. `Kami, how to say this?' "Ithinkweshouldbreakup."
"No." She replied simply, her eyes frosting over. "We're not going to break up, Inuyasha."
-----x-----
"Taidima." Kagome gritted out, putting her guitar by the door.
"Oh, you're home! How was your first day-back?" her grandmother asked, drying off a plate.
"I really don't want to talk about it right now," She followed the blips and screams of frustration up the stairs, passing Souta's room on the way. `Already playing video games,' She pushed open the next door, and dropped her bag on the bed. Staring at the piles of either empty or full boxes, she thought about him. How he had changed. How all of them had changed. She wondered where Sango was, her best friend...or at least she was before. Who knew where she was now? She had plans, the last time she had seen Sango. She wanted to go to America, study and become a doctor. She wanted to travel, see the sights. Kagome seriously doubted that she was still in this small-town district.
"But Sango-chan!" She sat on the swing, kicking sand up. "Then you'll be really far away from everyone. Wouldn't you miss it here?" She asked.
The brunette shrugged. "I would, but...it would be so exciting! I mean...imagine!"
"I don't think everybody would be too happy," Kagome stated, twirling the swing around. "Especially Miroku-sama."
"Ugh. I don't even wanna think about the Edhii," She stated. "Sorry Kagome, but I still don't see how your like him...wait, how he's anything like you. Kami knows we don't need a female Miroku in this world," She muttered the last part under her breathe, causing Kagome to laugh.
Supposedly, the `Echii' as Sango had named him, was a distant cousin of Kagome's...or something like that.
Stretching, she stood and headed for the door. Almost running down the stairs, she could smell oden coming from the kitchen, and her stomach confirmed that she was hungry enough for a quick stop to the kitchen.
"Oden!" A small bowl was placed in front of her. She fumbled around with the chopsticks for a couple minutes before finally getting the hang of using them again.
"Ah, Kagome. Before you go out, may I ask you a favour child?" Nodding, with a mouthful of noodles, she tried to smile. "There's going to be somebody coming in soon to help out at the shrine, and I need ye to show him around a little bit." Nodding again, Kagome slurped up the last of her noddles.
"There he his now," She took Kagome's hand, guiding her to the door.
When the heavy oak door opened, she cringed as she saw the tiny white dog ears come into view.
"Takiya," She greeted, as he noted with a scowl.
"Oh, well since ye already know each other, it should be that much easier." Kaede pushed her out the door with a small nudge, and straight into Inuyasha.
When the door slammed shut behind her, Kagome sighed. There would be no way back now. "What're you doing here?" He gritted out, and she just stared at him like that was the most obvious question.
"I live here. At the Higurashi Shrine," She rolled her eyes. "C'mon,"
"So." She tried to start awkwardly. "How've...how've things been here?"
"You'd have known if you had been here." He snapped.
"It's not my fault, Okay? A Wakiyama-san, got my dad transferred outta here. Wonder why, hm?" She turned, storming off towards the Well.
"What's the old hag doing awnsering the door for anyways? Where're your parents?"
"Well, lookit the time, I gotta get back. I'm sure you know the way back, right?" She asked, not waiting for an answer.
He watched her leave, for the second time. And once again, he felt like he couldn't do anything.
