A/N I got this idea, when I was sitting in the classroom, while the teacher was trying to make me smarter, with no luck. I hope you like it.

Silver Sapphire -The Jewel of Angel

 

Prologue

 

Black dog sat on the hill, watching down at the sad group. The sight was heart breaking. Koga was holding Ayame close to him, his leg was bleeding, because he had cut it open and had taken the Shikon shards out from there.

 

Inuyasha and Kikyo were hugging each other, Kikyo was crying helplessly. Miroku was sitting next to Sango, holding her near him, as Sango hugged her little brother Kohaku. Shippo was sitting next to Kirara, hugging her tightly and crying into her fur.

Sesshomaru stood few meters away, he didn't seed a tear, but the dog could sense that he was sad too.

 

Battle against Naraku was over, and they had won, but it had cost the something what they all loved. Kagome had sacrificed herself to save the others. Before she met her doom, she made a wish for the Shikon no Tama. No-one knew what the wish was, but you could see the results. Kagome had given life for Kohaku, so Sango would have someone from her family on her side. She let her souls leave her body, and go to Kikyo, so she and Inuyasha could live happily. That meant that Kikyo was no longer dead, and didn't need to have other people souls to stay alive. To Sesshomaru, she relieved her true feelings.

 

She had put a message from her into his head. She had begged him to take care of Shippo, he was like child to her, and she wanted him to have some kind of father figure, who he could look up for. She had also told him how much she loved him, from the first time she saw him.

And after that, blue flames had surrounded her. Shikon no Tama disappeared with her, into the flames. There was nothing left from her, expect the memories what everyone had about her.

Sesshomaru looked at his new arm, what Kagome had also given him when she made the wish. He owned her so much. His love towards her could never be enough to pay everything she had given to him. The last thing he could do for her was to take care of her pup. He started to walk towards crying Shippo.

 

He kneeled on front of him and Kirara, and gave him a small genius smile. Shippo looked up, and tried to wipe his tears off from his cheeks.

 

-No pup, Sesshomaru said. -Don't do that.

 

Shippo didn't say anything. He let Sesshomaru to lift him into his arms, and hugged him tightly. Kagome had told him in his mind, that Sesshomaru was going to take care of him from now on. She also had said, that Shippo could trust him.

 

Sesshomaru started to walk away, when Inuyasha stopped him.

 

-Where are you taking him? He asked, watching angrily at his older brother.

 

-To western lands, Sesshomaru replied, and looked at his younger brother.

 

-Why are you taking Shippo with you? Sango asked, as she walked towards them.

 

-Kagome asked me to take care of him, just before she died.

 

-It's true, Shippo sobbed. -She told me that Sesshomaru-sama would be taking care of me from now on.

 

Inuyasha looked suspiciously at Sesshomaru.

 

-Hurt him, and I will kill you. He growled.

 

-I would never hurt Kagome's pup, he replied. He sighed, and closed his eyes. -You are all welcome to visit Shippo whenever you want. You're all his friends, and I cannot deny friends from my pup.

 

Before anyone could do anything, Sesshomaru great blue could around him and fly away, with Shippo. Rest of the group just looked after them, before went on their separated ways. The agreed to meet each other, every now and then to respect Kagome's memory.

 

The black dog stood up, and walked away. When the time would be right, they would met her, in her right form.
