Kagome sighed in relief at finally finishing her last piece of home work. It was only 4pm and she though she'd surprise Inu-Yasha by showing up an hour early. She went and packed all the things she though she would need for her shard hunt.

10 minutes later Kagome bid farewell to her family and she walked off towards the well. She opened the door, walked gracefully down the stairs and jump over the side off the well. In a flash of blue-purple light and she disappeared.

When she landed on the bottom she looked up and saw dark clouds swirling around, threatening to release and onslaught of rain. She shook her head annoyed that it was going to rain and grabbed hold of the vines that grew on the side of the well. She slowly climbed out of the dry well and looked around, surprised that Inu-yasha wasnt sitting there waiting for her.

She was making her way towards the small village at a rapid pace hoping to get there before the weather took a turn for the worst. Nearly half way there, she heard voices and decided to investigate. She peered through the bushes. Her jaw fell and her eyes began to tear up. There right in front of her were Inu-Yasha and his dead clay bitch Kikyo, making love. The two so busy with each other that neither sensed Kagome's presence.

She wanted to scream in pure agony as her heart shattered into a billion pieces. She turned and ran. She ran with burning tears blurring her vision. Her heart hurt so much that she didn't even notice all the injuries she was acquiring from all the branches she hit. She just kept on going for miles, when she tripped on a root that was sticking out. She fell to the ground with a sickening thump.

Instead of getting up, she stayed there where she fell, sobbing. "Why, why...how.....could..you. Inu-Yasha....."Her constant sobs shaking her small frame with such a powerful force. Unknown to the devastated girl a pair of crimson eyes stared at her both in hunger and amusement. Minutes later the young miko, fell asleep.
