Chapter 3

Kagome awoke to the horrid smell of, who she assumed to be Naraku. Opening her eyes she noticed that it was in fact Naraku who was sitting beside her on the floor. "Good morning koi, here I brought you some new clothes, since those rags you are currently wearing are extremely inappropriate. Do you need my help getting changed, mate?" "I am not your koi and I am definitely not your mate. I can change on my own, thank you very much, but it would be easier to change if I wasn't attached to the wall."

"Kukukuku, but love, its normal for mates to help each other dress." He stated while unlocking Kagome's shackles. * Time to execute my escape plan.* "But Naraku, I feel very violated when people think I cant do things on my own." "Very well, I'll let you dress by yourself. You will join me in the dinning room as soon as you finished."

With that he left and I rapidly changed into the sapphire blue kimono, that has silver cherry blossoms all over it. * Oh wow, its made of the finest silk around. Thank the Kami's for who ever made this outfit with two slits on either side that come up to mid thigh.* Quickly fixing her hair, she began to make her way through the palace in the opposite direction that Naraku went. Using a trick Kaede taught her, she consealed her sent and swiftly exited the castle. It was dark out. ( Its day time but all of naraku's evil makes it all look black.)

Passing the first set of guards, then the next all the time Kagome was wondering. * How pathetic, the demons that work for Naraku, cant even see, smell or sence me. Oh well, I'll worry about that later. I must hurry and get as far away as possible before Naraku or any one else notices my disappearance. * She easily scaled the wall that surrounded the entirer building. As she landed on the other side about to take off into the forest she paused thinking * Hey wait a minute, how did I get over that wall so easily? How did I jump from such a heigth without hurting myself? Never mind that now Kagome and run Hey who are you, oh never mind lets just get out of here. *

She sprinted into the forest, runing careful as not to cut her clothes or herself, so that Naraku doesnt track her down. She ran for what felt like hours. Slowly becoming exhausted.

Else where

"Rin, you fillthy human, show yourself at once! Lord Sesshoumaru-sama will not be pleased with you if you do not come out at once!!!!!!" The toad servent shouted at the top of his lungs. Hearing no response the wrinkly old servent began to panic and started looking with all his might for the human child.

With Rin

"Wow, the flowers are so pretty. Rin should pick some for Sesshoumaru-sama." The little girl jumped around, eagerly picking the plants she thought most likly to impress her father like figure.

Unknown to the energetic child, she was being observed. When he saw the human-child turn her back to him he leapt. Preparing to sink his fangs into the flesh of his prey.

With Kagome

Her legs were starting to cramp, so she decided that at the next clearing she found, she would rest at. Stepping into a clearing filled with the upmost beautiful flowers she ever saw. It was seconds later that she noticed the little girl, who was running around picking flowers. She was about to greet the small girl when she noticed a demon prepaing to pounce on the innocent girl.

The demon lunged at the girl. She child turned around and saw the monster and let out a scream of pure fear.

With Jaken

Stepping into the camp in all his might was the great taiyoukai of the west, Lord Sesshoumaru. He glanced around the camp then glared at his loyal toad servent coldly. He then spoke with a cold voice to him. " Jaken where is Rin?" Jaken began to tremble violently and his words came out shaky. "For..forgive me me milord, bu...but..I..I do not know...she..just..dissapered during... the game she..she wanted to play."

He wasabout to give Jaken a punished when a scream laced with fear ressounded through the whole forest. It was Rin. He raced off into the dirrection that the scream came from. Hoping he would get there in time to save his young ward.

In the clearing

Kagome tackled the demon before he could even lay a finger on the girl. The beast, angered by this attack struck Kagome on the chest leaving three very deep and long wounds. She swiftly placed her hand on the monsters chest purifying it on contac. The demon disintergrated, in a flash of blinding light. She fell to the ground, she lost so much blood that it made her very weak and using such intence powers caused her to loose contiousness.

Sesshoumaru steeped into the clearing moments before the light hit. He saw the human-woman save Rin and take a deadly blow. He had to turn away when the light apeared. When he turned back all he saw was the human unconcious on the ground, laying in the pool of her blood.

Rin ran up to Sesshoumaru and feirceless hugged his knee. "Sesshoumaru-sama, Rin was so scared when that demon tried to hurt Rin, but pretty lady saved me. Is pretty lady going to be alright?" She looked up into the eyes of the Lord, using her pupoy dog look. It worked, her walked over to Inu-Yasha's bitch to see if she was alive. He noticed she is still alive, but would die if her wounds werent taking care of imediatly.

Mentally sighing, he picked her and Rin up and ran to the nearest village. Whe he arrived there, he demanded for the first person he saw to tell him where he could find a healer. He raced to the hut of the said healer and entered without even knocking. An elderly woman looked up to see the demon with two beings in his arms. The smallest, jumped out of his tail that held her to the floor. The old woman then spoke. "Demon what are you doing here?" " I lord Sesshoumaru, ruler of the west orders you to heal this woman before she dies." He stated and set Kagome down on the bed. She just nodded and imediatly went to work on the woman-child, while Sessoumaru and Rin went to wait outside.
