“Sesshomaru”

 

Kagome stared at the man that was laying on the ground looking up at her as if he had never seen her before. His golden eyes held so much confusion and that confused her. “Sesshomaru's never confused. What the hell is going on? This man looks like Sesshomaru but something is off. Wait. What am I thinking of course it's him only he has that aura? I remember what he did to me. And I will have my revenge.”

 

“What's the matter Sesshomaru cat got your tongue? What you can't even kill one worthless demon.” Kagome smirked one of her fangs poking out. “Come on Sesshomaru do to it what you did to me. Stick it with a sword.”

 

The whole time Kagome was talking Inuyasha had managed to break the spell her eyes had put on him. Every word that came out her mouth only fueled his anger. Here he was in a land he did not know; in a time he did not belong, with a girl who kept on calling him someone else's name. And on top of that she was teasing him.

 

“I don't care what she looks like. I'm sick and tired of all of this shit. If someone calls me Sesshomaru one more time…”

 

“Come one Sesshomaru why you still sitting there you just going to let that worthless thing kill you. HA! I knew you were weak from the beginning.” Kagome laughed.

 

“Alright that's it I've had enough of this shit.” Inuyasha growled “I am sick and fucking tired of being called someone I am not. My name is not Sesshomaru; it's Inuyasha and if you're going to talk least of all insult me start using my name. In-u-ya-sha.”

 

Kagome stared and the man for a second then took a tentative sniff. Her eyes widened in confusion and amazement. “I guess this guy really isn't Sesshomaru but why does he look so much like him. And if this isn't him where is Sesshomaru... Sesshomaru how could you?”

 

“Whatever it doesn't change the fact that you are about to die, now does it.” Kagome smirked. Turning her attention back to the still demon on the other side of the clearing.

 

The demon that upon entering the clearing stopped, feeling the demonic aura that made its instincts want to go run and hide scented the air. “Thisss girl isss just a halfff-breed. Why do my sssenses tell me to run? I will not be shown up by some weak hanyou!”

 

“ENOUGH! GIVE ME THE SHIKON JEWEL!!!!”

 

Kagome's head whipped around to once again glare at the human boy on the floor “You have it? You have the Shikon Jewel?”

 

“I have no idea what the hell that bitch is talking about. I don't have the fucking jewel!” He yelled in all his anger. Turning his back on the increasingly annoying demon pinned against the tree.

 

The demon came after him again and Inuyasha barely had time to escape. He rolled a couple of feet to the left and hopped up on the balls of his feet. “GIVE IT TO ME! GIVE ME THE JEWEL!”

 

Kagome was just there watching the standoff between the two. “I can't move. Now is my chance to get the jewel back and become a full demon. And I can move! This is bullshit!”

 

“Hey! Inu-whatever pull this sword out and I'll take care of this worthless demon.” She glared the demon right in the eye. Looking at the perfect spot to slash it so it would have an agonizing death. “Hey I haven't killed anything in a while and I think I deserve it, considering the situation…”

 

`My name is Inuyasha god damn it! Get it straight!” Focusing all his attention on the girl.

 

The snake demon seeing her advantage struck out when Inuyasha was distracted. Quicker then he could react the demon had struck out with one of her claws and sliced the side of Inuyasha's hip sending him flying. He landed hard on the ground screaming in pain. Blood was rushing from the wound. He clenched his eyes shut trying to in vain stop the pain. Harsh breathes of air was pulled from his lips as he tried to get his bearing back.

 

“Fuck that really hurt.”

 

“Idiot she's coming, get up!” He heard Kagome yell “And you're a liar you did have the Shikon!”

 

“What?” he mumbled. He slowly opened his eyes and not a foot in front of him was a small pink crystal ball. Blood smudged its glassy surface. For a moment the world seemed to stop as Inuyasha clapped his eyes on the jewel. Its swirling mist seemed to call to him, taunting him with things he couldn't even begin to imagine. It glowed with its own light and had him entranced. “The Jewel…was inside of me?”

 

Slowly he reached out his hand to clasp the jewel but before he was able to touch it a long black tongue slithered it's self around the jewel and pulled it from his reach. The demon stood at its full height and swallowed the jewel whole.

 

“YESSS! I CAN FEEL ITSSS POWER. THE SHIKON IS MINE!”

 

“You stupid boy! You let her have the Shikon! Release me now!” Kagome yelled out in frustration.

 

Inuyasha slowly pulled himself from the ground, ignoring the girl yelling at him from the tree. His silver bangs shielded his eyes. He clenched his hands, his nails digging into his palm making crescent moons on the surface. A low almost demonic growl started to emit from the boys shaking form. His head jerked up and glared daggers at he demon.

 

“You better enjoy the brief time you have left. Cause your life won't last much longer.” He muttered between his clenched teeth.

 

“YOU THINK YOU CAN STOP ME NOW! FOOL! I WILL DEVOUR YOU!”

 

The demon made for him faster then before. Its body slammed in to him and in less then a second he was pinned against Kagome by the demon's body. It wrapped twice around the width of the sacred tree. Inuyasha felt his breath whoosh out of him and found the next breath being to hard to take with the squeezing the snake was inflicting on his body.

 

“I don't know how long I can last like this. I'm beginning to lose focus”

 

“Hey” Slowly Inuyasha raised his head to look in to the eyes of Kagome. She stared at him with such intensity that he felt that his soul wanted to escape from his body just so he wouldn't be under those piercing blue eyes.

 

“I'm pretty sure you don't want to die here right? All you have to do it pull this sword from me and I'll deal with this demon. She's nothing compared to me.”

 

Inuyasha not one to completely think things through automatically reached his hand up to grasp the sword. As his hand touched the sword, he felt a warm pulse resound from the sword to his hand and up his arm finally taking hold of his heart. His own heart stopped for a moment then resumed this time beating in sync with the pulse that was being sent up from the sword. The once cold sword grew warm in his hand. Shaking his head he gripped the sword tighter ready to yank it out.

 

“NO INUYAHSA YOU MUST NOT RELAESE HER!!!”

 

Both Kagome and Inuyasha's heads turned around as much as he was able to while still being trapped by the demons body. He saw Kaeda with a long bow and a quiver of arrows. With the most horrified look on her face as she looked at the women glaring at her from the tree.

 

“Kagome, how did ye wake up from your long slumber?”

 

“That's none of your business. I don't know how you know my name lady but you should not be butting in!” Kagome growled viciously. “I was so close.'

 

“Enough Kaeda! Get out of here!” Inuyasha was about to lose consciousness any second. He had to make his choice now or he wouldn't be around to make it. Taking firm hold of the sword once again, he glanced up again at Kagome and with one tug pulled the sword from her chest. The whole where it pinned her glowed blue for a second before it went away.

 

Almost immediately the pulse that shook the clearing earlier came back with a vengeance. With Inuyasha being so close to the girl he felt the pulse like he was standing to close to a giant speaker. Kagome's growls increased in to a full on snarl. Her eyes flashed red for a second before it and the pulse went away. Kagome stated to laugh a laugh that sent shivers up his and Kaeda spine. “Child what have ye done?”

 

“That's it you worthless pathetic example of a demon. Prepare to say goodbye.” Kagome whispered.

 

“Ha! You think I am threatened by a mere half-breed! I have the Shikon you can not stop me!' It hissed.

 

“Heh, don't be so sure.” With that Kagome dug her claws in to the demons snake hide and ripped right through it. The demon reeled in pain and let go of the tree. Inuyasha fell to ground with a thump. The rush of air to his lungs was too much and he passed out. The last thing he thought was “Did the sword just sigh?”

 

Kagome crouched low to ground letting the wind whip her hair around her face. Her eyes focused on the demon that was regaining it self and she readied her next attack. Channeling her youkai in to her hands she jumped at the demon and came down on it with a “Sankontessou!” Claws glowing gold ripped apart the demon from the head to the middle of its body.

 

“Heh, not so tough was it?” Kagome talked to her self as pieces of the demons body fell all around her. She was looking around trying to find the jewel when the body pieces started to move. Slowly all of the dead pieces started to move back to together then sooner then you know the demon was back and ready fro revenge.

 

“DID YOU THINK I WAS THAT EASY TO KILL!!!? TRY AGAIN HALF-BREED!!!” It snarled before it came after Kagome again only to smash in to a tree as Kagome jumped and flipped over its head.

 

“COME BACK HERE HALF BREED”

 

At this point Inuyasha was coming back from unconsciousness. He turned over on his side; well he tried to but was distinctly aware of the sharp pain from where the jewel had been ripped from his body. “How the hell did the jewel end up inside of me?” His musings were interrupted by the battle taking place not ten feet away from him.

 

“Inuyasha!” Turning around he spotted Kaeda running toward him with a panicked looks in her eyes. “Inuyasha quick where it the jewel in the demons body?!”

 

“How the hell am I supposed to know!” He growled angrily as he lifted himself up from the ground. His eyes clearing, he glanced around the clearing. His eyes settled on the battle that was happening in front of him.

Kagome was dodging the demons giant claws dancing around it trying not to get hit. “Why wont it die??!!! Is the shikon keeping it alive?” She didn't have time to really think about it as she once again had to jump out of the way of the demons claws, jumping up in the air high to give her self time to think “ How do I kill it if the shikon is keeping it alive??”

 

Keada at this time had made it to Inuyasha helping him stand up straight. “Inuyasha, look at the demon! You have to tell us where the jewel is in its body! Only you can see and that will be the only way to kill it!”

 

“I'm telling you I don't see… huh?” Inuyasha looked hard at the fighting demons on the other side of the field and saw a light shining from the demons stomach. “Wait I see a light in its stomach is that what you're talking about?”

 

“Yes that's it! Ye have to take the jewel from its body to kill the demon!” Keada said urgently.

 

“No problem!” Inuyasha ran head first in the battle between the two demons. Picking up the sword that he had taken from Kagome's body with him. As his hands closed around the hilt he felt his own heart beat thump through out his whole body, making him pause for a second to look down at the old rusted sword. “ What the hell is up with this sword? It's almost as if it's trying to talk to me? Damn… how much crazy shit can happen in one day?” Shaking his head to get rid of those thoughts he focused once more on to the fight in front of him.

 

Kagome was really starting to get annoyed with this demon every time she would try to attack it the tail of the beast would whip around and she would end up jumping out of the way just in time, but losing her opening for attack. As Kagome landed on the ground eyes searching for another opening she saw the sesshomaru look alike running up to her with sesshomaru's sword in his hand

 

Her eyes narrowed “ What the hell do you think your doing? You're just a worthless human! There is no way you could stand up to a youkai! Just sit back and let me handle this!” `Then the jewel will be mine!”

 

“ Please little girl if your so big and mighty how come the demon is still alive?” Inuyasha jogged up to her. Kagome glared at him and a low growl escaped from her throat. “Let the man handle this!!” He grinned looking at Kagome.

 

She was about to retort but instead she leapt forward and grabbed Inuyasha out the way jumping up in the near by tree and the demon whipped her tail at them again. As she set him down on the tree branch she said snidely “what were you saying earlier?” Inuyasha just rolled his eyes trying to hide how truly shaken up he was.

 

“Listen Just stay here and let us demons fight.” And with that Kagome hopped out the tree and jumped right at the demon, seeing and opening for an attack. Her claws raked down the demons body slicing in to its stomach. The demon screamed in agony before falling over again with a huge hole in its stomach.

 

“Kagome the Jewel is in its stomach you have to take it before it rejuvenates its self!!” Keada yelled hobbling over to Inuyasha who was climbing down the tree Kagome left him in.

 

Kagome's ears twitched in recognition of what she was hearing and rolling up her sleeve she reached in to the demons stomach. Searching around for a bit before her hand closed around the jewel in the demons stomach. As soon as she freed the jewel from the demons body, the body dissipated in to smoke and ash leaving nothing behind.

 

Kagome looked at the bloody jewel she held in her hand a look of awe in her face. Keada seeing this whispered to Inuyasha urgently “You must now get the jewel from Kagome, no demon must be allowed to handle the jewel it will turn black with malice. You must get it from her!” Inuyasha looked up at Kagome who was still staring at the jewel in her hand as if she was mesmerized “ ok she makes it sound so easy….how the hell am I going to get it from her!?!”

 

Kagome had no idea about the scheming going on she was still in a state of shock as she looked at the innocent looking jewel she held in her hands. “It's mine…it's finally mine…now I can become a full demon. I won't be a half-breed anymore! ….but what happen to sesshomaru…he betrayed me…sesshomaru why?”

 

Her thoughts were cut off as she was pummeled from behind. Inuyasha jumped at her pushing her while she was not paying attention making her loose her grip of the jewel causing it to fly threw the air and land 5 feet away from where they now lied on the floor. Inuyasha got up quickly, snatched the jewel up and held it in his hand tightly. The jewel hummed in her hand filling it with a warm sensation.

 

“Ass!! Give me back the jewel!!” Kagome cried in outrage as she jumped at Inuyasha claws outstretched ready to rip him a new one.

 

Inuyasha dodged the claws by a hair and ran the other direction now finding himself once again being chased by a demon “How many times is this gonna happen today!?!?!”

 

Keada seeing what was happening took a sting of beads from inside her kimono top and with them in her hands she started to chant under her breath. The beads in her hands glowed for a second before they disappeared only to reappear around the neck of a not so happy Kagome. Kagome stopped mid run and looked down at the beads she did not remember having there before.

 

“What the hell are these?!?!” Kagome started to tug and the beads only getting angrier when she found out they would not budge. Looking up to see that Inuyasha had stopped running to look back. “That's it u just wait till I get my claws in you! Your gonna regret ever meeting me!!”

 

“Ha! I already do!” Inuyasha smirked

 

Kagome's eyes flashed red for a second before she leapt up in to the air ready to slice Inuyasha in two.

 

“INUYASHA SAY THE WORD OF SUBMISSION!!!” Keada yelled across the clearing.

 

“Word of submission?” Inuyasha thought frantically, looking up to Kagome and she raced down to render him to pieces. His eyes caught on to her ears and he screamed the first word to come to his mouth.

 

“SIT!!”

 

 

Nothing happened

 

Thinking frantically again he called the next word that came to his head

 

“Stay!!!”

 

Kagome was brought down by an invisible force the beads around her neck giving off a bright glow. She landed back first in the ground making a small Kagome like crater. As what just happened registered in her mind she blinked slowing up in the now darkening sky. “What the hell just happen here?”

 

Entering her field of vision was the sesshomaru look alike sporting a huge grin on his face. “What happen to you trying to rip me a new one?” He smirked arrogantly. Kagome growled angrily trying to get up but finding that her legs would not work.

 

“What the hell did you do to me?!?!?!” Kagome yelled in aggravation as she lifted her top half up poking at her legs.

 

“Do not worry ye will get the feeling back in your legs.” Keada hobbled over. “I have put a subduing necklace around ye neck. Now only when Inuyasha says stay you ye be forced to the ground then loose feeling of your legs for a momentary time” as she was saying this Kagome was starting to get up. Inuyasha backed up a bit waiting to see if she would attack again. And true to his thoughts she went to leap at him.

 

“STAY!!” Inuyasha sported a huge grin as he walk away listening to Kagome's silent curses as she was once again forced to the ground. “I could get used to that…”

 

 

( In Keada's hut)

 

Inuyasha sat straight with his shirt off as Keada wrapped some cloth around his mid section to cover the hole that the shikon had ripped out of. The smell of the tea brewing over the open fire filled the small hut. Night had descended and the village was quiet. Well as quiet as can be with a growling hanyou sitting in the corner.

 

“Will you shut up with all that use less growling its starting to get on my nerves” Inuyasha grumped casting a look to the irate inu-hanyou on the other side of the room. Kagome just glared harder at Inuyasha lifting her lips a bit to reveal to him her vicious fangs in a half smirk and she growled louder just to annoy him.

 

“Please quite down Kagome we must talk about what is to be done with the jewel.” Keada said sagely.

 

“Hey I have a crazy Idea how about u just give it to me and I'll let you all live” Kagome suggested casual like, looking at her claws as if she were talking about the weather.

 

“Feh, nice try wench.” Inuyasha smirked.

 

Kagome's eyes immediately inflamed with rage as she made to attack Inuyasha. He on the other hand just got a wicked look in her eye and… “Stay!”

 

“Fuck!!” Kagome yelled as she once again found herself looking up at the ceiling of the hut her legs numb beneath her.

 

“I'm really starting to like this” Inuyasha laughed.

 

“Has no ever told you never to cause women pain” Kagome growled out.

 

“Yes, but you're a nice strong demon. Don't try to tell me that it actually hurts.” Inuyasha jus laughed again as Kagome's growls got louder. “Hey” he sobered up. “If you're this big mighty demon why do you need the jewel?”

 

Kagome just got up from the ground and went back to her corner avoiding Inuyasha's eyes as she did so.

 

“I think I can answer that Inuyasha. Kagome here is not a full demon she is a half-demon. Born of a human mother and a inu-demon father. She wishes to use the jewel to become full demon. ” Keada said as she took the tea from the fire starting to pour them in to cups. While she spoke Inuyasha had got a view of Kagome's eyes which as Keada spoke where getting sadder and sadder.

 

“I wonder what's got her so sad all of a sudden……eyes like those should never look sad…..wait where did that just come from…I don't care about if she's sad or not!!” Inuyasha's eyebrows furrowed at his own thoughts.

 

 

Kagome suddenly snapped. “What the hell do you know about me old hag?!?!”

 

“Do ye not remember me Kagome?”

 

“Remember you? I never seen you before a day of my life!”

 

“Oh yes ye have only back then I was around eight. And I followed my older brother around everywhere.”

 

Kagome got a far off look in her eyes as she stared at Keada. “But you were only a child..”

 

“Ye have been pinned to that tree for 50 years Kagome.”

 

“50 years?!?! Heh. If you're that little kid from back then sesshomaru must look like hell warmed over.” Kagome smirked.

 

“Nay. My brother died that faithful day that you were pinned to that tree. That is why Inuyasha here looks so much like him. He is the reincarnation of sesshomaru hence why the jewel came from his body as it was burned with my brother's all those years ago.” Kagome's eyes grew huge in shock before lowering in sadness. Suddenly angry at something Kagome bounded out of the room taking off in to the forest.

 

Inuyasha got up to follow her, but by the time he got the door of the hut she had already disappeared in to the foliage of the forest. “She…must have really liked this sesshomaru guy… her eyes were so sad…kagome…”

 

 

 

 

Well that's the end of the 2nd chapter I know it took forever to put up but I'm really busy with school but now that its summer vacation I can work on the fan fic some more!! Any ways reviews will be greatly loved :D!!!

Oh and I need some help I don't know whether to put kikyo in sesshomaru's place Kagome's older sister or in Kouga's place as Inuyasha's follower.
