Sit and Stay

Synopsis: After Kagome's latest "sit" marathon, Inu Yasha decides to get even.

A/N: I think this is just going to be a one-shot, but if you like it I may continue.

Inu Yasha crept closer to the hut. The scent of magic was thick in the air.

"Something I can help you with?" Hearing the voice behind him, Inu Yasha jumped in shock, barely restraining a startled yell.

"Yeah… I'm looking for the witch."

"I kind of figured that… what else would you be doing here?" The woman looked his body up and down. "So? What do you want?"

Inu Yasha swallowed. The power radiating from this woman was scary.

"Well, this woman has a subduing spell on me… and so I slam into the ground whenever she gets mad… but if I yell at her or defend myself I just get pounded more…"

"Hmm…" She reached out to touch the beads, but a shock of pink energy knocked her fingers away. "She's obviously pretty strong, so only she will be able to take these off of you… but how about a little equality… she pounds you… you pound her?"

A large smile slowly spread across his face… `oh the possibilities!'

"Can you do that?"

"Of course… now, let's talk payment…

Still smirking, Inu Yasha nodded, and he pulled a bag of coins from his sleeve.

A streak of red flashed through the trees.

"Hey, Kagome!"

She looked up from her homework as Inu Yasha landed in front of the tree she was sitting in.

"Inu Yasha, where have you been? Usually you're the one dragging us off to look for shards!"

"I had a little business to take care of," he said as he grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the tree. Her book fell from her lap and onto the ground.

"Wha-?" Was all she was able to get out before one of his arms wrapped around her, holding her still while the other sliding something over her head… a necklace?

Just as suddenly as he had grabbed her, Inu Yasha stepped back to look at his handiwork. The rosary was almost identical to his, but green in color. `Who says I can't accessorize?'

Kagome stood there blinking at his wicked smile.

"STAY."

Kagome `eeped' as the necklace forced her to the ground and held her there. She was on her knees with her legs tucked up under her, her hands stuck to the ground.

"Inu Yasha, what the hell are you doing?!"

"Turn-about's fair play. I just wanted to have the same power over you… weren't you saying something about `equality between the sexes' the other day?"

"You want equality? Fine! SIT!"

Inu Yasha was crushed to the ground in front of her.

"Stay!"

Kagome, who had just sat up and crossed her arms, was pulled back down to the ground.

"Sit!"

Thump! Inu Yasha was about to yell `stay' again when he noticed the view. Her short skirt had ridden up, and she was `sitting' him right in front of her. He could smell the beginnings of her arousal… right in front of his nose.

Kagome grew wary, waiting for the `stay' command that she had expected after his last `sit.' He was just lying there, waiting for the spell to wear off. She could feel the warmth growing between her legs as she noticed just how close their duel had brought them.

As a blush began to work its way across her face, Inu Yasha shot forward and put a hand over her mouth before she could say `sit."

"You don't want to do that, Kagome… think about how close we are. Your spell is pretty gentle, but if you `sit' me while I'm this close you'll get crushed… you don't want that, do you?"

Kagome shook her head and started to back away nervously.

"Stay," Inu Yasha breathed as he started to nuzzle her neck.

Kagome fell back to the ground, her hands framing his knee.

She felt his lips and tongue on her neck, slowly working their way up toward her jaw. Her entire body was on fire. She had dreamed of his kisses, but those were school-girls' fantasies… light and soft… this was real, hard, and burning in its intensity.

Her head was thrown back, allowing him access to her vulnerable neck.

Inu Yasha growled deeply in response, the rumbling in his chest sending waves of pleasure through her.

With a deep breath he drew back to look her in the eye.

"Inu youkai mate for life."

She searched his eyes, found the love she yearned for, and gave him her own.

"And so do I."

Much later…

Inu Yasha looked down at his sleeping mate, curled in his arms. He hadn't had a chance to explain the whole topic of mates, but there was plenty of time.

His bite mark on her shoulder began to glow, and Inu Yasha smiled sleepily as he watched her human ears fade away. Two little fuzzy black ears grew out of her hair.

He had told her that it was for life, just not exactly how very long their life together was going to be.
