After Inuyasha and Kagome woke, Inuyasha dodged getting hit by Kagome and went to his cabin saying Sango would probably be back soon to change and bring her to where she needed to be.

 

“Hey Kagome how was your night?” Sango asked as she came in cracking her wrist.

 

“Inuyasha paid me a visit, other then that I slept ok.” Kagome said as she stood up stretching.

 

“I see.” Sango said as she came out of the closet in the same pink tube top, but she was wearing black shorts like hers.

 

“So you've been cursed with shorts too.” Kagome said following Sango out the door.

 

“Yeah I'm allowed to wear those pants after I'm done training.” Sango said as they came to a large field, what seemed to be an obstacle course, and a few other slaves-to-be.

 

“There's no hope for me huh?” Kagome asked as the other girls glared at them. “What's their problem?”

 

“Probably not, and they don't like me because I they think I got it easy.” Sango said with a shrug.

 

“Easy?” Kagome asked looking at her like she was insane.

 

“We only have to take this course, they are being trained to, clean, cook, be pretty like, and junk like that. I'm too stubborn, and you're a hanyou, so we're going to be body guards.” Sango said dodging a rock.

 

“We only have to do this course, that is kind of easy.” Kagome said catching the rock throw at her and throwing it back in the general direction of where it came.

 

“We have to do this every day and the obstacle course twice on Mondays which it happens to be, and we also have Inuyasha and Miroku breathing down our necks.” Sango said flipping off the other girls who had said something about them being lap dogs.

 

“About how long does this course take?” Kagome asked looking at the obstacle course, it wasn't that big.

 

“For you about five minutes, before it comes second nature and then possibly faster.” Inuyasha said as he walked up with Miroku behind him who was still sporting a red handprint on his cheek. “Sango takes roughly ten minutes take a few, and the girls that are glaring at you anywhere from twelve to twenty minutes.”

 

“It's not that long…” Kagome said raising an eyebrow.

 

“Believe me it'll seem like forever before you reach the end, but Sango today's your lucky day neither of you will be doing this twice today.” Miroku said from beside Kagome, who as soon as she realized this moved out of his reach with a smile.

 

“You'll be doing it twice on Friday.” Inuyasha said with a smirk before looking up at the whole group. “You all get a few minutes to stretch; we don't want the same thing as the last week do we?”

 

Kagome followed Sango closer to the girls her ears twitching to everything that the other girls said under their breath, one causing her to wrap her tail around her leg.

 

“Evil aren't they.” Sango said as they started to stretch.

 

“Very…” Kagome said rolling her ankles.

 

“You'll get use to it…” Sango said as she saw Kagome catch a baseball in front of her. “Thank you.”

 

“No problem.” Kagome said dropping it on the ground next to her.

 

“Seeing as everyone wants to play catch why don't we get started.” Inuyasha said walking into the gap between the group of girls and Sango and Kagome. Everyone but Kagome and Sango groaned as they walked over to the starting line. Sango was explaining it to Kagome, but was stopped by Inuyasha who started talking again. “I'll be running it with you today, and no talking unless you're running.”

 

Everyone lined up on the starting line, Miroku shouted go and everyone took off. There was stretch of nothing and then Inuyasha jumped for some reason, once Kagome got there her foot went down a little sending out an arrow (don't worry it just has a cloth balled up with colored powder on it not a point). Kagome ducked down and growled when she heard Inuyasha laughing up ahead of her, it only fueled her more and she ran after him. She cleared the huge wall that had ropes for everyone else a few seconds after Inuyasha. Kagome could tell that Sango wasn't too far behind, but kept after Inuyasha. Kagome stopped as she saw a log up a while Inuyasha was running across. Kagome only took a second to register this before jumping up and taking off after him, being part cat demon had its perks. “Damn it.” Kagome growled when Inuyasha hit the middle of the log, and arrows started flying. Kagome jumped up, and ducked a few only getting hit once by the end of it. At the end which seemed to be the end of the course is were Inuyasha was standing. Dodging the arrows had sped up her heart rate and she had been running a little faster then she thought she could.

 

“Nice you only got hit once.” Inuyasha said with a smirk. “Go run.”

 

Kagome growled at him managing to get out, “Where.”

 

“Down to the end where Miroku's standing and back.” Inuyasha said and before she took off he grabbed her shoulder pulling her back a little and lightly growled in her ear, “Thank me, for not being difficult.”

 

Kagome shook her head and growled at him.

 

“You can do the course again, tonight until you can say thank you.” Inuyasha said letting her go and lightly pushing her in the right direction.

 

Sango came up a few seconds later with one hit too. “How'd she do?”

 

“She got hit once, and is doing the course again tonight till she can back down and do as I ask.” Inuyasha said looking at Sango's hip where she had a powder spot. “You improved…halfway.”

 

Sango nodded and took off as Kagome made it back. Kagome looked back at Sango before looking at Inuyasha.

 

“You can hang around here.” Inuyasha said as Kagome moved to the side of him and to over a little sitting down.

 

“I figured.” Kagome said as she stretched her arms above her head.

 

Inuyasha nodded and called out to the two girls who had fallen off the log and had quickly got back on, “Go back to the beginning of that log you know the rules.”

 

“They'll never learn.” Sango said as she came to a stop, breathing a little heavy.

 

“If they do I'll do an Irish jig.” Inuyasha snorted as they finally made it off the log and stood in front of him with big eyes. “Go run, and you better be honest other wise you'll do double.”

 

The two girls pouted and started.

 

“Oh, Kikyo.” Inuyasha said with a grin. The girl turned around with a huge smile and started to walk back. Inuyasha raised an eyebrow in amusement as she stopped in front of him. Kagome and Sango who had caught on just smirked at her. “I don't know why you came back, I was just going to say, don't forget to count the one on your back.”

 

The girl glared at the two girls who had started laughing, and started her run again.

 

When all the girls had finished the course and their runs they were sitting in front of Inuyasha and Miroku.

 

“Today is just free day, but you have to be doing something that requires movement.” Miroku said and Inuyasha finished.

 

“That requires movement of something other then your mouth.”

 

Sango and Kagome stood up and walked over to where they had been stretching and Kagome picked up the baseball. “So why'd you only run halfway?” Kagome asked as she lightly threw the ball over to Sango.

 

“I did better then normal.” Sango said as she threw it back.

 

“I see.” Kagome said as she noticed the other girls gathered around them.

 

“Hey do you guys want to play a game?” Kikyo asked as she threw a kickball in the air and caught it.

 

Sango shook her head and Kagome shrugged.

 

“Aw please Sango, Kagome doesn't seem to care.” Kikyo said with a grin.

 

Sango grabbed Kagome's shoulder and turned their backs to them and said, “This isn't exactly the best thing, I mean Inuyasha and Miroku will help us if we ask, but I don't feel like being in debt to them.”

 

“I'll have your back.” Kagome whispered.

 

“Kikyo is a miko.” Sango whispered.

 

“She's a miko and she couldn't get through that course?” Kagome asked.

 

“She can't use her powers according to the rules, and she likes to be popular so when it comes to that she pretends to suck at it.”

 

“I see.” Kagome turned back around and said, “Let's play what do you have in mind?”

 

“Well we were thinking one on one dodge ball.” Kikyo said again throwing the kickball in the air.

 

“You can count right?” Kagome asked raising her eyebrow.

 

“I mean, me against you, and Lin against Sango.” Kikyo suggested as, who Kagome assumed was, Lin came up beside her.

 

“Ok.” Sango said throwing the baseball near the basket that was a little ways off.

 

Kagome looked Kikyo up and down, she was wearing a white tube top and black shorts that she had seemingly cut to make shorter, they were a little shorter then Kagome's to add to the picture. Lin was in the same only her shorts were the right length stopping about mid thigh.

 

“Well then.” Kikyo said as Sango started to back up. “Let's play.”

 

Kagome took notice to the ball she was holding, it seemed to be glowing. Kagome looked up at Kikyo; she was smiling like she was a kid in a toy store with her daddy's credit card. “Shit.” Kagome whispered as she started to back away.

 

Sango was dodging about ten balls being thrown at her. That isn't fair they're ganging up on her. Where is Inuyasha and Miroku?

 

“Looking for Inuyasha?” Kikyo said throwing the glowing ball at Kagome who just missed it by an inch. “He and Miroku have to report to Kee after we finish the course.” The ball came back hitting Kagome in the back bringing her to her knees.

 

That felt like she shot me…Kagome thought as she gasped for air. Kagome rolled out of the way when it went to come back down on her. “It's strange, I didn't even know what you were like, but I knew I hated your guts.”

 

“I knew the second I saw you that I'd love this, and I do.” Kikyo said with a cold smile.

 

“So tell me, what did you do to get put in this place, aren't miko's supposed to be holy people.” Kagome said as she got back to her feet and grabbed the ball only to let go, because it felt like it was on fire.

 

“This place doesn't care.” Kikyo chuckled as Kagome came at her but got hit in the stomach.

 

God make it stop…Kagome thought as she flew back, that kickball felt like a boulder was falling on her. Kagome's back came in contact with what must have been a chest because two arms appeared around her stomach, and the kickball fell to the ground.

 

“Kikyo you can go down to Kee's office with your friends.” Inuyasha said as he kneeled down sitting Kagome down and having her lean back on him.

 

“But, she, she brought it on herself. It's her fault she tried to attack me or I wouldn't have done that.” Kikyo pleaded.

 

Inuyasha growled up at her, “Listen to me now or I'll come up with your punishment, and it will mar your skin unlike Kee's whips, and everyone will see be able to see.”

 

Kikyo nodded and left.

 

Kagome's breathing was harsh, but she moved from Inuyasha, and stood up on shaky legs.

 

“Well I now know not to leave you and Kikyo alone.” Inuyasha said putting his arm around her waist. “Come on you need rest.”

 

Kagome pulled away and said, “I'm fine.”

 

“I suggest you don't do anything too big, you still have to say thank you.” Inuyasha said walking around her. If she wasn't so stubborn, I wouldn't still have her run that.

 

“Inuyasha why are you still making her run that?” Sango asked outraged from next to him.

 

“Because. Now Sango I suggest you leave me alone.” Inuyasha said as he walked into his cabin.

 

“Sango can I talk to you?” Kagome asked from her bed when Sango came inside.

 

“Sure.” Sango said sitting down next to her.

 

“Honestly, what do you think of me?” Kagome asked looking at her.

 

“I think you're a good person, stubborn, but a good person none the less.” Sango said with a shrug at the end. “So Inuyasha's having you run that again.”

 

“Yeah.” Kagome said with a shrug.

 

“Hmm, I think he's taken an interest in you.” Sango said standing up and sitting on her bed.

 

“An interest in what, making me come at him?”

 

“No, just an interest. He came to your aid the second he saw you were in trouble. And he bugs you about little things he never bugged me or anyone else about.” Sango said with a smile.

 

“Tell me did they hit you with those kickball's a little too hard?” Kagome asked as she laid down on her back.

 

“No brain damage was done.” Sango laughed.

 

“Sure.” Kagome laughed.
