Previously on chapter 24 – Dreary Liaisons – part 2

By the end of the tea-dinner party, the eight princesses and princes declared that they would be friends and allies of the Western lands kingdom and the Inu-brothers, they also informed that soon they would return to their kingdoms, but they wanted to see Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha mating ceremony before that.

Later that night, both brothers just stayed in bed together nuzzling each other, relaxing from their exhausting afternoon. That was when Inuyasha felt a tug in his belly and chest, followed by a very odd emotion, at the same time as Sesshoumaru listened to the intruder’s alarm.
Inuyasha’s youki was demanding him to hold Sesshoumaru tight and did not let him leave the bed soon, as well as take over the Daiyoukai’s body.
Meanwhile Sesshoumaru powerful hearing, was paying attention to the palace odd sounds and listened to what the guards were doing, but at the same time, his youki was demanding him to stay by Inuyasha’s side and submit to the hanyou’s needs.
Suddenly, a loud noise, as some kind of explosion, was heard, followed by an evil laugh.
Both brothers, who were already naked kissing each other, jumped out of the bed and said together.
“Naraku.”

Chap 25 – Meeting the future…
“Narauku!” Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru exclaimed together. They jumped out of the bed and put on their clothes as fast as possible.
“Inuyasha, you stay here, it is safer.” Sesshoumaru restricted the hanyou, taking hold of Tenseiga and Toukijin.
“But I–I cant leave you alone with that bastard, I must protect you and…” Inuyasha once gain felt the strange tug in his inner parts. Confusion getting bigger as his youki demanded him to protect his mate and destroy his enemy, once and for all.
Inuyasha growled loudly as Sesshoumaru meant to leave their chambers alone.
Sesshoumaru realizing that Inuyasha’s inner beast and youki was once again emerging decided to do the only thing that would make his little brother’s youki and inner beast calm down.
“Let’s go Inuyasha, but take Tetsusaiga with you.” Sesshoumaru adverted impatiently by the chambers aisle door.
Inuyasha as fast as Sesshoumaru himself, got Tetsusaiga and together with Sesshoumaru left their chambers.
They run through the aisles, following the sound of the explosions, fighting and the stench of Naraku’s scent and his dreadful miasma.
When they finally got where commotion was, they faced the wicked-dark-haired hanyou and some of his attachments, including Kanna, who was holding the hand of a toddler with purplish-white hair with dead eyes like Kanna’s and a very young youkai with white silver hair and hypnotic eyes, who Inuyasha immediately recognized as Hakudoshi.
‘Kami-sama, it can not be, it has been just some months, and this youkai is almost my age.’ Inuyasha thought as he positioned himself to fight.
“My, my Inu-chan, are you still alive? I really underestimated you.” Naraku said sarcastically, “But do not worry, Hakudoshi, do you remember him, well he will finish what he started some months ago. Kukuku.” The evil black-haired hanyou said stepping aside so the young silver-white-haired youkai would have total access to attack the much shocked-white-haired hanyou.
Inuyasha, too shaken to prevent the eminent attack, so Sesshoumaru had to block it with Toukijin.
“No, no, no, Sesshoumaru-sama, I am your opponent, let the former Yasha and his former infant deal with each other, you are going to be only mine, from now on.” Naraku declared as he started to attack Sesshoumaru with his tentacles.
“Inuyasha!” Sesshoumaru called his little-brother out, as the silver-white-haired youkai sent another attack on the white-haired hanyou, who had just stepped backwards, but did not have any other reaction.
Inuyasha heard Sesshoumaru’s voice, and he could witness Naraku attacking his mate. Inuyasha desperately wanted to help and protect Sesshoumaru, but Hakudoshi’s attacks were too powerful and Inuyasha barely managed to dodge them.
Inuyasha was getting even more desperate, as he watched his mate being attacked not only by Naraku, but also by some other youkai, Naraku’s allies.
Kanna and the toddler with purplish-white hair, purplish dead eyes, he or she was also very pale and delicate, resembling a lot with Hakudoshi, were just watching.
Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and the palace guards were all fighting against Naraku and his evil army. They were not losing the battle, but they would not win it, if they continued as they were. That was when the princesses and princes, as well as their companions arrived.
“Sorry for being so late, we had to get our play things before join you in such a leisure activity.” Princess Rin said while she was positioning herself to attack.
“My, my, such cute allies Sesshoumaru-sama, I will love to absorb all of them one by one as soon as I get you.” Naraku proclaimed while still fighting with Sesshoumaru.
“What are you doing, get out of here, this is Western lands matter, and you should not get involved on it.” Sesshoumaru yelled at the princesses and princes and sent another blaster at Naraku and the youkai by his side.
“Sorry Sesshoumaru-sama, but we DO have to help you. Naraku is an issue that matters to all the lands. He is a nuisance for all of us.” Princes Sango said as she sent blasters at Naraku’s army.
All the princesses and princes with their companions fought quite well and fiercely, as well as the palace guards.
In the intervening time, Inuyasha was barely dodging Hakudoshi’s attacks.
“Inuyasha, you must use Tetsuseiga’s real power!” Sesshoumaru yelled as he realized that the hanyou was having problems in fighting the silver-white-haired youkai.
“I-I-I can’t, Sesshoumaru-niisan. He is my--my…” Actually, Inuyasha was fighting against his memories.
In the attempt to cheer Inuyasha up, Sesshoumaru got distracted and was violently whacked by some of Naraku’s tentacles, falling down in the middle of the castle patio apparently unconscious.
Inuyasha’s inner beast and youki, completely emerged, got a grip on the white-haired hanyou’s body, and made him got closer his mate, Hakudoshi however got in Inuyasha’s way attacking him violently. Inuyasha, who was already worn out fell into the patio’s pond, probably unconscious, too. For some instants, there was only silence.
Sesshoumaru was still lying on the floor, unconscious. In addition to that, Inuyasha was still in the pond. A huge number of soldiers from Sesshoumaru’s army, as well as Naraku’s, were scattered all over the place. Some of the princes and princesses’ companions were kept backwards due to their wounds. Even the young princesses and princes were getting backwards, tired or seriously wounded.
That was when a tremendous wave of youki started to flow all over the patio area. The pond and where Sesshoumaru was, were engulfed by a bright light. It was so bright that everybody stopped fighting for a while to protect his or her eyes.
A very animalistic and powerful aura was sensed, in addition to a frightening growl, and everyone could see Inuyasha side by side with Sesshoumaru, as the brightness fade down.
Inuyasha had transformed, he was in his youkai form (taller, stronger and with the traditional youkai marks from his family), while Sesshoumaru was apparently in his usual self, but also powerful.
“You dared to attack my mate, on top of you deceived him for quite a long time. You are no longer able to do that, since you are going to die now.” Sesshoumaru said angrily, as he dashed in Hakudoshi’s direction holding Toukijin.
In a single but powerful blast, Hakudoshi, was hit by full force and defeated by Sesshoumaru. Hakudoshi’s apparently dead body fell down some feet away from where Kanna and the toddler were.
At the same time, Inuyasha attacked Naraku.
“Naraku, you are going to regret to maculate my mate’s clothes and to disturb us, in our home.” Inuyasha said as he slowly walked to Naraku’s direction, his voice as animalistic as his current appearance. “Not counting that you are going to pay for all the pain you made me went through.” Inuyasha said lifting his sword.
“Tetsuseiga!” The blast from Tetsuseiga that hit Naraku’s barrier was so powerful that it went through the barrier and even the Shikon-no-tama in the chest of the evil hanyou, was not able to dodge or contain it, the jewel was hit, resulting in a huge explosion.
As soon as the stream of smoke was dissipated, it was possible to see the range of the damage. Half of the area where Naraku was, among with the youkai army next to him was completely devastated.
~*~Silence ~*~
The staggering silence was broken by Inuyasha who sighed before getting on his knees, using Tetsuseiga as a walking stick to prevent him from falling face down on the Patio’s floor. A loud thump was heard. Everybody run in his direction, but a furious growl from Sesshoumaru, made them all step backwards.
“Kukuku, I underestimate you Inu-chan.” Naraku said with a smirk.
Inuyasha raised his head and body, he then lift up Tetsusaiga, once again and started to summon his youki. It was even possible to feel the flow of power and see it. Everyone who was conscious at that moment stared completely amazed at Inuyasha, and most of the lesser youkai still alive trembled in fear.
Inuyasha eyes were red as blood.
Inuyasha swung his sword and at the same time, he screamed its name and deadly attack.
A huge wave of power and light covered everything for some moments. When the cloud of dust was dissipated, Inuyasha was already holding Sesshoumaru in his arms.
A huge pile of bones, burned flesh and clothes were left by Hakudoshi, and the youkai who were by his side. Naraku had been hit, but he was still alive, his clothes shattered and his armor was destroyed.
“Kukukukuku, I re-really under---estimate you Inuyasha.” Naraku managed to say.
Naraku was really wounded, but he managed to recreate his barrier.
When Inuyasha sent another blaster with Tetsuseiga, the barrier not only blocked it, but also sent it back directly to Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. Both brothers were hit by the potent blast and both were thrown meters away from each other.
Inuyasha was coughing blood and he had a hole in his chest, which was bleeding. However, that did not avoid him to drag his body to where Sesshoumaru was.
Sesshoumaru was apparently less damaged than Inuyasha, but he was wounded, something new to him. He was puzzled. His arms and legs, in addition to his head, were bleeding.
When Inuyasha was again next to his brother, their youki made them hug each other tightly. They held their swords together and their power increased even more.
Naraku realized it and intensified his barrier. Even in pain, the evil-hanyou continued to smirk.
“You are not going to annoy anybody ever again Naraku.” Inuyasha growled, now holding Sesshoumaru by the waist.
Inuyasha gave Sesshoumaru some space, so the inu-youkai could get ready to their final attack.
The Inu-brothers after glaring at each other, placed their swords together, holding them with both their hands.
Naraku laugh. “Do you think you can use the same attack with me? Did you forget what my barrier can do with attacks I’ve seen already?”
“Let see what you are going to see and feel now.” Inuyasha snarled.
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru swung their swords and attacked Naraku. The destruction was tremendous.
For some minutes, there were silence and brightness able to blind anyone brave enough to glance at it. The huge wave of youki was still there, even to some few youkai warriors it was difficult to stand there, due to the crushing blast.
Finally, when the cloud of dusty and powerful wave of youki was decreasing in intensity, it was possible to see what had happened.
Half of the castle main garden, some parts of the court, and some parts of the castle entrance had been destroyed, along with all of the youkai that came with Naraku.
Naraku’s personal retainers or his creations, which came with him, were also destroyed. Hakudoshi and Kanna were apparently dead and literally in pieces, and the small kid by Kanna’s side was agonizing.
Nevertheless, Naraku was still alive; he was all shabby and bleeding, though. Defying all rules, he was on his feet in a puddle of blood and corpses, with a mocking smile on his face. His barrier gone.
“What a wonderful demonstration of power. I knew how powerful a daiyoukai was, but to see that a hanyou could also be as powerful as one, without the Shikon no tama… was a fantastic thing to see. It is a pity I cannot absorb this power anymore…” Naraku said that and fell on one of his knees and then on both. At the same time, a tentacle appeared and reached for the toddler with purplish-white hair.
“What a waste… Inu-family, you both destroyed my ‘heart’. Kukuku” the evil black-haired hanyou said as the tentacle dragged the kid’s body to Naraku, who continued laughing, in an insane and evil manner.
“Inuyasha, did you know that I placed my heart and soul out of my body and kept it protected to prevent me to be killed during battle?” Naraku kept on talking, as if he were having tea with them. “I should have placed it in you; consequently, you would never be able to do what you just did. Kukuku.”
The dust was completely vanished by then and anyone could see the battlefield. Just then, they were able to see why Naraku had fallen to his knees, he was melting. A putrid dark purple liquid, as his miasma, was bathing the ground under him, dissolving/ melting everything. The liquid while dissolving the bodies was producing a putrid smoke, which was exactly as deadly as Naraku’s miasma. It was getting hard to breath. The sizzling sound of the decaying bodies, mixed with some murmur, was horrible. It was getting hard to stand there.
Naraku still with the evil smirk on his face continued talking. “I had the powerful one with me for a long time and let him slip away from my hands. I tried to absorb the older one and what have I gotten? Problems. I should have opened my eyes, why I couldn’t sense the power in you, Inu-chan, after all the things we did together?” He smirked and then continued. “Well I did committed mistakes, why did I kill Kagura, why did I bring Kanna and Akago with me? So many mistakes…” The black-haired hanyou was interrupted due to the pain he was enduring as his hips were sinking in the dissolving odd liquid his own body was producing.
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru stared at that in a mix of repugnance and fascination.
“Inuyasha, will you do me a favor?” Naraku asked in between hid struggle with the pain he was in. “Could you please finish this pain by completely destroying that body and its heart? The barrier around it will not be destroyed by this blood of mine. You must destroy it and only them I will be able to die. Kukuku…” Naraku said pointing to the agonizing body of the toddler with purplish-white hair.
Only then, they could see the fainting barrier around the small body, a thin and purplish-blue membrane
Sesshoumaru sensing danger, hold Inuyasha’s arm in an attempt to avoid his brother to do as he was told by the evil hanyou.
Inuyasha embraced Sesshoumaru for some seconds and after an assuring and affectionate look, Inuyasha prepared not only himself, but also asked Sesshoumaru to help him destroy not only the small body but also mainly its heart, as well as Naraku’s remaining.
Rising their swords, both brothers summoned their power, once again. ‘It is the only way to end with Naraku’s evil existence.’ Inuyasha thought as he yelled. “Tetsusaiga!!!!”
Some moments later, when once again it was possible to see the battle field, it was possible to glimpse the place where once was the small child who held inside its tiny body, Naraku’s real heart and soul, and Naraku’s bits and pieces, which were dissolving and vanishing.
A question could be heard all over the area. “Is he really finished now?”
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha looked at each other and embraced tightly in each other arms.
Inuyasha still in his youkai form, whispered to Sesshoumaru. “You are forbidden to fight again while you were with our infant inside you. Am I clear?” As he finished the sentence, he held Sesshoumaru onto his arms tightly in a possessive and dominant way.
Sesshoumaru surprised by the news, when he could look at Inuyasha’s face and eyes, asking for confirmation.
“Yes you are pregnant; you are the one baring the heir of the western lands.” Inuyasha finished this statement and fainted. His youki sensing it was safe for his mate, unborn child and everybody else in there, decided to calm down.
Sesshoumaru held Inuyasha unconscious body, and soon the princesses and princes, the remaining guards and some of the lords were all around them.
Sesshoumaru as always ignored all of them and simply called out Jaken. “Jaken, have my chambers ready and a bath prepared.”
“Hai, Sesshoumaru-sama.” Jaken said, going ahead to have everything prepared for his master and his mate.
The group around them was getting even closer, asking many things at the same time.
“I do not want anybody to disturb us both for the next few days.” Sesshoumaru added before leaving the battle area.
After their bath, Sesshoumaru laid down on their bed with Inuyasha and both slept for whole two days.

Inuyasha was the first to wake up, he asked for food and for the healers who took care of him previously.
When the healers arrived, Sesshoumaru was waking up and Inuyasha was eating by the window.
“Here we are my lords, how can we serve you?”
“Good morning to you all too, could you please check on my brother and inform us, how long Sesshoumaru’s pregnancy would last. Inuyasha annoyed by the healers’ strange formality, stood up and immediately asked about Sesshoumaru’s situation.
The healers got by surprise were all amazed by the information. “Check on Sesshoumaru-sama?” and “What pregnancy?” they were all murmuring, while they searched for their potions and remedies on their bags.
Suddenly they all realized as they sensed a new youki. “Kami-sama, Sesshoumaru-sama is the one pregnant.”
Inuyasha just smiled. Sesshoumaru still on the bed in a carelessness behavior just observed.
“Are you going to stay in this bed for another day, niisan?” Inuyasha asked Sesshoumaru, and smiling added. “Are you daydreaming?” Inuyasha got on the bed and kissed Sesshoumaru.
“No and yes, it is interesting to see and listen you otouto.” Sesshoumaru answered smiling and grabbing Inuyasha by his white bangs to kiss him. “I love you so much. And I do appreciate the way you are dealing with it.” He added after another kiss.
“But it is strange, niisan.” Inuyasha whispered. “I could not avoid from asking that to them.” Inuyasha confessed and rested his head over Sesshoumaru’s shoulder.
“Do not worry otouto. This is the way everything should be by now. Chichi-ue would be happy to see that.” Sesshoumaru said kissing Inuyasha’s head. “Aside from this pregnancy thing…” Sesshoumaru said getting out of the bed and aiming the food.
All the healers followed him.
It was now Inuyasha’s turn to observe the might Sesshoumaru-sama, acting like a stubborn kid, annoyed by the healers who continued to wonder about his pregnancy.
“Stop that!” Sesshoumaru burst out. “You all said some time ago, that our mating would only be complete if we had an infant, didn’t you? Go find an explanation!”
“We already have this answer Sesshoumaru-sama, Inuyasha-sama is too young; his body could not take more paina and many other things now, but probably Sesshoumaru-sama’s body and youki, decided to revert that. The alpha is in charge to protect the chosen mate. Borrowing your power and body will allow you to have an heir, also assure, and reinforce your mating bonding. Therefore, it does not matter who the barer is. Once Inuyasha-sama is completely healed and matured enough, he is going to be the one who would bear your children.
“I do not mind bare infants for the next 500 years.” Sesshoumaru said happily kissing Inuyasha.
“But Sesshoumaru-sama, a male pregnancy is too risky, and without preparations…” one of the healers started, but was interrupted by Sesshoumaru.
“Well, so it seems that you will have the mission to prepare me and everything else.” Sesshoumaru said getting more food.
“That is why I summoned you all. We need to know, how far this Sesshoumaru’s pregnancy is and how long it will take.” Inuyasha pleaded.
“Hai, Inuyasha-sama.”
The healers started all the necessary procedures to do the proper exams and find out the answers to their own questions and also Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha’s questions.
By the end of the fourth day, they all knew what to do and what to wait for.
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha chambers were transformed in a library and in an infirmary that only the healers where allowed to enter.
It was clear that all lords and elders were worried and curious about, what was going on there. A couple of days ago, they had battled with their worst enemy and both inu-brothers were very injured, but due to the calmness from both brothers, they knew they were alive and well. However, by the constant come and go from the healers, something was being hidden from them and they just needed to know what. Since it was Inuyasha the one who finished Naraku, the ones who were against him, now had changed their minds and were asking for forgiveness.
Jaken was the only one, but the healers, to enter the external room in Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha’s chambers, but he was not able to talk with them. He could not say anything to them, this time.
Servants would enter to clean and bring food, but they would never talk with the brothers, either. When the lords asked them, they would only inform what they could see. “Sesshoumaru-sama and his little brother are fine and healthy. They were reading, training or sleeping, whenever we go there, and we can sense that their bond is getting stronger.”

Sesshoumaru would officially mate with Inuyasha; so preparation for the royal mating ceremony was also added to the Western lands routine. Almost everything was back to normal. The castle was being reconstructed. It had been almost two weeks after the battle with Naraku, when the announcement was done. All the lords should be present during the ceremony.

After the battle with Naraku, the Royal Mating Ceremonial was postponed to the next Full moon, now Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha had an extra reason to celebrate it, the baby would be born in three months.
The Royal Mating Ceremony came about without problems. By the end of the third celebration day, Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha announced they were going to have one heir shortly.
There was a natural commotion, as well as some not as pleasant as Sesshoumaru was expecting. The princess and princesses as well as their companion, supported Inuyasha as a Royal Mate completely and sealed their alliance with the kingdom. There would be an alliance as long as Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha’s children as well as their children were alive.

When the ceremony celebration was over, some people left and some remained for some more time. All the princesses and princes, after staying in the castle for so long, finally said their good-byes, in addition to some lords.
The castle was again in peace.
Sesshoumaru had been pregnant for a couple of weeks already; so they had less than three months to deal with it. The baby would be one-third human, so the healers were afraid about many issues. Inuyasha was anxious and Sesshoumaru was… bizarrely Sesshoumaru. He would stay inside his chambers or even in the gardens, meditating or reading. Stones would hit Jaken whenever he talked too much and he completely avoided seeing the lords or elders.

“The time goes by so easy and fast when you have a lot of things to do.” Inuyasha said to Sesshoumaru in a very cold and snowy winter afternoon.
“I don’t think so otouto. This big belly is something that really is bothersome and time seems to never pass.” Sesshoumaru said as he tried a better position on the bed for the tenth time that afternoon. “I really love our baby, to be the one carrying him or her, but the pregnancy process in the very end is something really exhausting. Do you mind having another one only in fifty years?” he added, whimpering.
“Keh… niisan, if anyone hears you now…” Inuyasha said happy to be the only one to witness that side of his older brother.
“Only you can hear me now, but I think that our baby want more people in here.” Sesshoumaru said holding both arms around his big round belly.
“What do you mean…”Inuyasha started to say, but has interrupted by a painful growl from Sesshoumaru,
“Call them now, it is time.” Sesshoumaru managed to say, in between the enormous pain in his belly and the lack of air.

Like Inuyasha, the baby was born in a New moon night, but in a very cold and snowy winter night. Once again it was necessary a mystical celebration, due to the fact, it was a youkai-male-pregnancy. The whole procedure took about three hours and by the end of the night Inuyasha was holding their baby, all cleaned and dressed, and was showing it again to Sesshoumaru, who was all smiles.
“How are we going to call it?” Inuyasha asked, sitting beside Sesshoumaru on the bed.
“What about Yukito, it is a snowy night after all, and he is so small.” Sesshoumaru replied.
“But he will get bigger; he will be as big and strong as his father…” Inuyasha said shyly.
Sesshoumaru burst laughing. “It is definitely Yukito. Inuyasha, if he will be as short as you are, poor kid.”
“But Sesshoumaru-nii, you are the father, remember?” Inuyasha remembered the youkai.
“Oh…” Sesshoumaru then looked to the healers as if asking for a better explanation.
“Sesshoumaru-sama, Inuyasha-sama is partially right. You are the father and barer, but Inuyasha-sama is also the father. The baby will have both characteristics.” One of the healers said, while he placed the sleeping baby by Sesshoumaru’s side.
“And will he be influenced by the moon as I do?” Inuyasha asked again, placing his black braid behind his back. He could not deny he was afraid by their little son’s life and future.
“Probably… however, we all are, in a way or another, influenced by the moon, not changing as you do, Inuyasha-sama, but we all are… only the time will be able to answer your question properly. I am sorry, Inuyasha-sama.” Another healer answered.
“It does not matter, now. The only thing that really matter is the fact that we are all here, healthy and happy.” Sesshoumaru said. “And we want to sleep.” He added in a child like manner, in front of the healers, something totally odd to him.
“We are finishing and soon we are leaving, you can go and join them Inuyasha-sama.” The healers said accomplishing their task.
Some minutes later Inuyasha was in the bed admiring their son with a worried expression. Sesshoumaru then caressed a finger on his face and said.
“Don’t worry otouto. His life will be different from ours. We are together and we are going to create a bright and fantastic future for him and his future brothers and sisters. Please believe me. From now on our present, future and our happiness are the only things that really matter.” Sesshoumaru said kissing his brother and then his baby-boy. “Now sleep, I am tired and sleepy”
“Hai, Sesshoumaru-nii….” Inuyasha said as he covered his family and joined them in their dreamy-sleepy night. And they dreamed of the future….

Previously on chapter 24 – Dreary Liaisons – part 2

By the end of the tea-dinner party, the eight princesses and princes declared that they would be friends and allies of the Western lands kingdom and the Inu-brothers, they also informed that soon they would return to their kingdoms, but they wanted to see Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha mating ceremony before that.

Later that night, both brothers just stayed in bed together nuzzling each other, relaxing from their exhausting afternoon. That was when Inuyasha felt a tug in his belly and chest, followed by a very odd emotion, at the same time as Sesshoumaru listened to the intruder’s alarm.
Inuyasha’s youki was demanding him to hold Sesshoumaru tight and did not let him leave the bed soon, as well as take over the Daiyoukai’s body.
Meanwhile Sesshoumaru powerful hearing, was paying attention to the palace odd sounds and listened to what the guards were doing, but at the same time, his youki was demanding him to stay by Inuyasha’s side and submit to the hanyou’s needs.
Suddenly, a loud noise, as some kind of explosion, was heard, followed by an evil laugh.
Both brothers, who were already naked kissing each other, jumped out of the bed and said together.
“Naraku.”

Chap 25 – Meeting the future…
“Narauku!” Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru exclaimed together. They jumped out of the bed and put on their clothes as fast as possible.
“Inuyasha, you stay here, it is safer.” Sesshoumaru restricted the hanyou, taking hold of Tenseiga and Toukijin.
“But I–I cant leave you alone with that bastard, I must protect you and…” Inuyasha once gain felt the strange tug in his inner parts. Confusion getting bigger as his youki demanded him to protect his mate and destroy his enemy, once and for all.
Inuyasha growled loudly as Sesshoumaru meant to leave their chambers alone.
Sesshoumaru realizing that Inuyasha’s inner beast and youki was once again emerging decided to do the only thing that would make his little brother’s youki and inner beast calm down.
“Let’s go Inuyasha, but take Tetsusaiga with you.” Sesshoumaru adverted impatiently by the chambers aisle door.
Inuyasha as fast as Sesshoumaru himself, got Tetsusaiga and together with Sesshoumaru left their chambers.
They run through the aisles, following the sound of the explosions, fighting and the stench of Naraku’s scent and his dreadful miasma.
When they finally got where commotion was, they faced the wicked-dark-haired hanyou and some of his attachments, including Kanna, who was holding the hand of a toddler with purplish-white hair with dead eyes like Kanna’s and a very young youkai with white silver hair and hypnotic eyes, who Inuyasha immediately recognized as Hakudoshi.
‘Kami-sama, it can not be, it has been just some months, and this youkai is almost my age.’ Inuyasha thought as he positioned himself to fight.
“My, my Inu-chan, are you still alive? I really underestimated you.” Naraku said sarcastically, “But do not worry, Hakudoshi, do you remember him, well he will finish what he started some months ago. Kukuku.” The evil black-haired hanyou said stepping aside so the young silver-white-haired youkai would have total access to attack the much shocked-white-haired hanyou.
Inuyasha, too shaken to prevent the eminent attack, so Sesshoumaru had to block it with Toukijin.
“No, no, no, Sesshoumaru-sama, I am your opponent, let the former Yasha and his former infant deal with each other, you are going to be only mine, from now on.” Naraku declared as he started to attack Sesshoumaru with his tentacles.
“Inuyasha!” Sesshoumaru called his little-brother out, as the silver-white-haired youkai sent another attack on the white-haired hanyou, who had just stepped backwards, but did not have any other reaction.
Inuyasha heard Sesshoumaru’s voice, and he could witness Naraku attacking his mate. Inuyasha desperately wanted to help and protect Sesshoumaru, but Hakudoshi’s attacks were too powerful and Inuyasha barely managed to dodge them.
Inuyasha was getting even more desperate, as he watched his mate being attacked not only by Naraku, but also by some other youkai, Naraku’s allies.
Kanna and the toddler with purplish-white hair, purplish dead eyes, he or she was also very pale and delicate, resembling a lot with Hakudoshi, were just watching.
Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha and the palace guards were all fighting against Naraku and his evil army. They were not losing the battle, but they would not win it, if they continued as they were. That was when the princesses and princes, as well as their companions arrived.
“Sorry for being so late, we had to get our play things before join you in such a leisure activity.” Princess Rin said while she was positioning herself to attack.
“My, my, such cute allies Sesshoumaru-sama, I will love to absorb all of them one by one as soon as I get you.” Naraku proclaimed while still fighting with Sesshoumaru.
“What are you doing, get out of here, this is Western lands matter, and you should not get involved on it.” Sesshoumaru yelled at the princesses and princes and sent another blaster at Naraku and the youkai by his side.
“Sorry Sesshoumaru-sama, but we DO have to help you. Naraku is an issue that matters to all the lands. He is a nuisance for all of us.” Princes Sango said as she sent blasters at Naraku’s army.
All the princesses and princes with their companions fought quite well and fiercely, as well as the palace guards.
In the intervening time, Inuyasha was barely dodging Hakudoshi’s attacks.
“Inuyasha, you must use Tetsuseiga’s real power!” Sesshoumaru yelled as he realized that the hanyou was having problems in fighting the silver-white-haired youkai.
“I-I-I can’t, Sesshoumaru-niisan. He is my--my…” Actually, Inuyasha was fighting against his memories.
In the attempt to cheer Inuyasha up, Sesshoumaru got distracted and was violently whacked by some of Naraku’s tentacles, falling down in the middle of the castle patio apparently unconscious.
Inuyasha’s inner beast and youki, completely emerged, got a grip on the white-haired hanyou’s body, and made him got closer his mate, Hakudoshi however got in Inuyasha’s way attacking him violently. Inuyasha, who was already worn out fell into the patio’s pond, probably unconscious, too. For some instants, there was only silence.
Sesshoumaru was still lying on the floor, unconscious. In addition to that, Inuyasha was still in the pond. A huge number of soldiers from Sesshoumaru’s army, as well as Naraku’s, were scattered all over the place. Some of the princes and princesses’ companions were kept backwards due to their wounds. Even the young princesses and princes were getting backwards, tired or seriously wounded.
That was when a tremendous wave of youki started to flow all over the patio area. The pond and where Sesshoumaru was, were engulfed by a bright light. It was so bright that everybody stopped fighting for a while to protect his or her eyes.
A very animalistic and powerful aura was sensed, in addition to a frightening growl, and everyone could see Inuyasha side by side with Sesshoumaru, as the brightness fade down.
Inuyasha had transformed, he was in his youkai form (taller, stronger and with the traditional youkai marks from his family), while Sesshoumaru was apparently in his usual self, but also powerful.
“You dared to attack my mate, on top of you deceived him for quite a long time. You are no longer able to do that, since you are going to die now.” Sesshoumaru said angrily, as he dashed in Hakudoshi’s direction holding Toukijin.
In a single but powerful blast, Hakudoshi, was hit by full force and defeated by Sesshoumaru. Hakudoshi’s apparently dead body fell down some feet away from where Kanna and the toddler were.
At the same time, Inuyasha attacked Naraku.
“Naraku, you are going to regret to maculate my mate’s clothes and to disturb us, in our home.” Inuyasha said as he slowly walked to Naraku’s direction, his voice as animalistic as his current appearance. “Not counting that you are going to pay for all the pain you made me went through.” Inuyasha said lifting his sword.
“Tetsuseiga!” The blast from Tetsuseiga that hit Naraku’s barrier was so powerful that it went through the barrier and even the Shikon-no-tama in the chest of the evil hanyou, was not able to dodge or contain it, the jewel was hit, resulting in a huge explosion.
As soon as the stream of smoke was dissipated, it was possible to see the range of the damage. Half of the area where Naraku was, among with the youkai army next to him was completely devastated.
~*~Silence ~*~
The staggering silence was broken by Inuyasha who sighed before getting on his knees, using Tetsuseiga as a walking stick to prevent him from falling face down on the Patio’s floor. A loud thump was heard. Everybody run in his direction, but a furious growl from Sesshoumaru, made them all step backwards.
“Kukuku, I underestimate you Inu-chan.” Naraku said with a smirk.
Inuyasha raised his head and body, he then lift up Tetsusaiga, once again and started to summon his youki. It was even possible to feel the flow of power and see it. Everyone who was conscious at that moment stared completely amazed at Inuyasha, and most of the lesser youkai still alive trembled in fear.
Inuyasha eyes were red as blood.
Inuyasha swung his sword and at the same time, he screamed its name and deadly attack.
A huge wave of power and light covered everything for some moments. When the cloud of dust was dissipated, Inuyasha was already holding Sesshoumaru in his arms.
A huge pile of bones, burned flesh and clothes were left by Hakudoshi, and the youkai who were by his side. Naraku had been hit, but he was still alive, his clothes shattered and his armor was destroyed.
“Kukukukuku, I re-really under---estimate you Inuyasha.” Naraku managed to say.
Naraku was really wounded, but he managed to recreate his barrier.
When Inuyasha sent another blaster with Tetsuseiga, the barrier not only blocked it, but also sent it back directly to Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru. Both brothers were hit by the potent blast and both were thrown meters away from each other.
Inuyasha was coughing blood and he had a hole in his chest, which was bleeding. However, that did not avoid him to drag his body to where Sesshoumaru was.
Sesshoumaru was apparently less damaged than Inuyasha, but he was wounded, something new to him. He was puzzled. His arms and legs, in addition to his head, were bleeding.
When Inuyasha was again next to his brother, their youki made them hug each other tightly. They held their swords together and their power increased even more.
Naraku realized it and intensified his barrier. Even in pain, the evil-hanyou continued to smirk.
“You are not going to annoy anybody ever again Naraku.” Inuyasha growled, now holding Sesshoumaru by the waist.
Inuyasha gave Sesshoumaru some space, so the inu-youkai could get ready to their final attack.
The Inu-brothers after glaring at each other, placed their swords together, holding them with both their hands.
Naraku laugh. “Do you think you can use the same attack with me? Did you forget what my barrier can do with attacks I’ve seen already?”
“Let see what you are going to see and feel now.” Inuyasha snarled.
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru swung their swords and attacked Naraku. The destruction was tremendous.
For some minutes, there were silence and brightness able to blind anyone brave enough to glance at it. The huge wave of youki was still there, even to some few youkai warriors it was difficult to stand there, due to the crushing blast.
Finally, when the cloud of dusty and powerful wave of youki was decreasing in intensity, it was possible to see what had happened.
Half of the castle main garden, some parts of the court, and some parts of the castle entrance had been destroyed, along with all of the youkai that came with Naraku.
Naraku’s personal retainers or his creations, which came with him, were also destroyed. Hakudoshi and Kanna were apparently dead and literally in pieces, and the small kid by Kanna’s side was agonizing.
Nevertheless, Naraku was still alive; he was all shabby and bleeding, though. Defying all rules, he was on his feet in a puddle of blood and corpses, with a mocking smile on his face. His barrier gone.
“What a wonderful demonstration of power. I knew how powerful a daiyoukai was, but to see that a hanyou could also be as powerful as one, without the Shikon no tama… was a fantastic thing to see. It is a pity I cannot absorb this power anymore…” Naraku said that and fell on one of his knees and then on both. At the same time, a tentacle appeared and reached for the toddler with purplish-white hair.
“What a waste… Inu-family, you both destroyed my ‘heart’. Kukuku” the evil black-haired hanyou said as the tentacle dragged the kid’s body to Naraku, who continued laughing, in an insane and evil manner.
“Inuyasha, did you know that I placed my heart and soul out of my body and kept it protected to prevent me to be killed during battle?” Naraku kept on talking, as if he were having tea with them. “I should have placed it in you; consequently, you would never be able to do what you just did. Kukuku.”
The dust was completely vanished by then and anyone could see the battlefield. Just then, they were able to see why Naraku had fallen to his knees, he was melting. A putrid dark purple liquid, as his miasma, was bathing the ground under him, dissolving/ melting everything. The liquid while dissolving the bodies was producing a putrid smoke, which was exactly as deadly as Naraku’s miasma. It was getting hard to breath. The sizzling sound of the decaying bodies, mixed with some murmur, was horrible. It was getting hard to stand there.
Naraku still with the evil smirk on his face continued talking. “I had the powerful one with me for a long time and let him slip away from my hands. I tried to absorb the older one and what have I gotten? Problems. I should have opened my eyes, why I couldn’t sense the power in you, Inu-chan, after all the things we did together?” He smirked and then continued. “Well I did committed mistakes, why did I kill Kagura, why did I bring Kanna and Akago with me? So many mistakes…” The black-haired hanyou was interrupted due to the pain he was enduring as his hips were sinking in the dissolving odd liquid his own body was producing.
Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru stared at that in a mix of repugnance and fascination.
“Inuyasha, will you do me a favor?” Naraku asked in between hid struggle with the pain he was in. “Could you please finish this pain by completely destroying that body and its heart? The barrier around it will not be destroyed by this blood of mine. You must destroy it and only them I will be able to die. Kukuku…” Naraku said pointing to the agonizing body of the toddler with purplish-white hair.
Only then, they could see the fainting barrier around the small body, a thin and purplish-blue membrane
Sesshoumaru sensing danger, hold Inuyasha’s arm in an attempt to avoid his brother to do as he was told by the evil hanyou.
Inuyasha embraced Sesshoumaru for some seconds and after an assuring and affectionate look, Inuyasha prepared not only himself, but also asked Sesshoumaru to help him destroy not only the small body but also mainly its heart, as well as Naraku’s remaining.
Rising their swords, both brothers summoned their power, once again. ‘It is the only way to end with Naraku’s evil existence.’ Inuyasha thought as he yelled. “Tetsusaiga!!!!”
Some moments later, when once again it was possible to see the battle field, it was possible to glimpse the place where once was the small child who held inside its tiny body, Naraku’s real heart and soul, and Naraku’s bits and pieces, which were dissolving and vanishing.
A question could be heard all over the area. “Is he really finished now?”
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha looked at each other and embraced tightly in each other arms.
Inuyasha still in his youkai form, whispered to Sesshoumaru. “You are forbidden to fight again while you were with our infant inside you. Am I clear?” As he finished the sentence, he held Sesshoumaru onto his arms tightly in a possessive and dominant way.
Sesshoumaru surprised by the news, when he could look at Inuyasha’s face and eyes, asking for confirmation.
“Yes you are pregnant; you are the one baring the heir of the western lands.” Inuyasha finished this statement and fainted. His youki sensing it was safe for his mate, unborn child and everybody else in there, decided to calm down.
Sesshoumaru held Inuyasha unconscious body, and soon the princesses and princes, the remaining guards and some of the lords were all around them.
Sesshoumaru as always ignored all of them and simply called out Jaken. “Jaken, have my chambers ready and a bath prepared.”
“Hai, Sesshoumaru-sama.” Jaken said, going ahead to have everything prepared for his master and his mate.
The group around them was getting even closer, asking many things at the same time.
“I do not want anybody to disturb us both for the next few days.” Sesshoumaru added before leaving the battle area.
After their bath, Sesshoumaru laid down on their bed with Inuyasha and both slept for whole two days.

Inuyasha was the first to wake up, he asked for food and for the healers who took care of him previously.
When the healers arrived, Sesshoumaru was waking up and Inuyasha was eating by the window.
“Here we are my lords, how can we serve you?”
“Good morning to you all too, could you please check on my brother and inform us, how long Sesshoumaru’s pregnancy would last. Inuyasha annoyed by the healers’ strange formality, stood up and immediately asked about Sesshoumaru’s situation.
The healers got by surprise were all amazed by the information. “Check on Sesshoumaru-sama?” and “What pregnancy?” they were all murmuring, while they searched for their potions and remedies on their bags.
Suddenly they all realized as they sensed a new youki. “Kami-sama, Sesshoumaru-sama is the one pregnant.”
Inuyasha just smiled. Sesshoumaru still on the bed in a carelessness behavior just observed.
“Are you going to stay in this bed for another day, niisan?” Inuyasha asked Sesshoumaru, and smiling added. “Are you daydreaming?” Inuyasha got on the bed and kissed Sesshoumaru.
“No and yes, it is interesting to see and listen you otouto.” Sesshoumaru answered smiling and grabbing Inuyasha by his white bangs to kiss him. “I love you so much. And I do appreciate the way you are dealing with it.” He added after another kiss.
“But it is strange, niisan.” Inuyasha whispered. “I could not avoid from asking that to them.” Inuyasha confessed and rested his head over Sesshoumaru’s shoulder.
“Do not worry otouto. This is the way everything should be by now. Chichi-ue would be happy to see that.” Sesshoumaru said kissing Inuyasha’s head. “Aside from this pregnancy thing…” Sesshoumaru said getting out of the bed and aiming the food.
All the healers followed him.
It was now Inuyasha’s turn to observe the might Sesshoumaru-sama, acting like a stubborn kid, annoyed by the healers who continued to wonder about his pregnancy.
“Stop that!” Sesshoumaru burst out. “You all said some time ago, that our mating would only be complete if we had an infant, didn’t you? Go find an explanation!”
“We already have this answer Sesshoumaru-sama, Inuyasha-sama is too young; his body could not take more paina and many other things now, but probably Sesshoumaru-sama’s body and youki, decided to revert that. The alpha is in charge to protect the chosen mate. Borrowing your power and body will allow you to have an heir, also assure, and reinforce your mating bonding. Therefore, it does not matter who the barer is. Once Inuyasha-sama is completely healed and matured enough, he is going to be the one who would bear your children.
“I do not mind bare infants for the next 500 years.” Sesshoumaru said happily kissing Inuyasha.
“But Sesshoumaru-sama, a male pregnancy is too risky, and without preparations…” one of the healers started, but was interrupted by Sesshoumaru.
“Well, so it seems that you will have the mission to prepare me and everything else.” Sesshoumaru said getting more food.
“That is why I summoned you all. We need to know, how far this Sesshoumaru’s pregnancy is and how long it will take.” Inuyasha pleaded.
“Hai, Inuyasha-sama.”
The healers started all the necessary procedures to do the proper exams and find out the answers to their own questions and also Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha’s questions.
By the end of the fourth day, they all knew what to do and what to wait for.
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha chambers were transformed in a library and in an infirmary that only the healers where allowed to enter.
It was clear that all lords and elders were worried and curious about, what was going on there. A couple of days ago, they had battled with their worst enemy and both inu-brothers were very injured, but due to the calmness from both brothers, they knew they were alive and well. However, by the constant come and go from the healers, something was being hidden from them and they just needed to know what. Since it was Inuyasha the one who finished Naraku, the ones who were against him, now had changed their minds and were asking for forgiveness.
Jaken was the only one, but the healers, to enter the external room in Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha’s chambers, but he was not able to talk with them. He could not say anything to them, this time.
Servants would enter to clean and bring food, but they would never talk with the brothers, either. When the lords asked them, they would only inform what they could see. “Sesshoumaru-sama and his little brother are fine and healthy. They were reading, training or sleeping, whenever we go there, and we can sense that their bond is getting stronger.”

Sesshoumaru would officially mate with Inuyasha; so preparation for the royal mating ceremony was also added to the Western lands routine. Almost everything was back to normal. The castle was being reconstructed. It had been almost two weeks after the battle with Naraku, when the announcement was done. All the lords should be present during the ceremony.

After the battle with Naraku, the Royal Mating Ceremonial was postponed to the next Full moon, now Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha had an extra reason to celebrate it, the baby would be born in three months.
The Royal Mating Ceremony came about without problems. By the end of the third celebration day, Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha announced they were going to have one heir shortly.
There was a natural commotion, as well as some not as pleasant as Sesshoumaru was expecting. The princess and princesses as well as their companion, supported Inuyasha as a Royal Mate completely and sealed their alliance with the kingdom. There would be an alliance as long as Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha’s children as well as their children were alive.

When the ceremony celebration was over, some people left and some remained for some more time. All the princesses and princes, after staying in the castle for so long, finally said their good-byes, in addition to some lords.
The castle was again in peace.
Sesshoumaru had been pregnant for a couple of weeks already; so they had less than three months to deal with it. The baby would be one-third human, so the healers were afraid about many issues. Inuyasha was anxious and Sesshoumaru was… bizarrely Sesshoumaru. He would stay inside his chambers or even in the gardens, meditating or reading. Stones would hit Jaken whenever he talked too much and he completely avoided seeing the lords or elders.

“The time goes by so easy and fast when you have a lot of things to do.” Inuyasha said to Sesshoumaru in a very cold and snowy winter afternoon.
“I don’t think so otouto. This big belly is something that really is bothersome and time seems to never pass.” Sesshoumaru said as he tried a better position on the bed for the tenth time that afternoon. “I really love our baby, to be the one carrying him or her, but the pregnancy process in the very end is something really exhausting. Do you mind having another one only in fifty years?” he added, whimpering.
“Keh… niisan, if anyone hears you now…” Inuyasha said happy to be the only one to witness that side of his older brother.
“Only you can hear me now, but I think that our baby want more people in here.” Sesshoumaru said holding both arms around his big round belly.
“What do you mean…”Inuyasha started to say, but has interrupted by a painful growl from Sesshoumaru,
“Call them now, it is time.” Sesshoumaru managed to say, in between the enormous pain in his belly and the lack of air.

Like Inuyasha, the baby was born in a New moon night, but in a very cold and snowy winter night. Once again it was necessary a mystical celebration, due to the fact, it was a youkai-male-pregnancy. The whole procedure took about three hours and by the end of the night Inuyasha was holding their baby, all cleaned and dressed, and was showing it again to Sesshoumaru, who was all smiles.
“How are we going to call it?” Inuyasha asked, sitting beside Sesshoumaru on the bed.
“What about Yukito, it is a snowy night after all, and he is so small.” Sesshoumaru replied.
“But he will get bigger; he will be as big and strong as his father…” Inuyasha said shyly.
Sesshoumaru burst laughing. “It is definitely Yukito. Inuyasha, if he will be as short as you are, poor kid.”
“But Sesshoumaru-nii, you are the father, remember?” Inuyasha remembered the youkai.
“Oh…” Sesshoumaru then looked to the healers as if asking for a better explanation.
“Sesshoumaru-sama, Inuyasha-sama is partially right. You are the father and barer, but Inuyasha-sama is also the father. The baby will have both characteristics.” One of the healers said, while he placed the sleeping baby by Sesshoumaru’s side.
“And will he be influenced by the moon as I do?” Inuyasha asked again, placing his black braid behind his back. He could not deny he was afraid by their little son’s life and future.
“Probably… however, we all are, in a way or another, influenced by the moon, not changing as you do, Inuyasha-sama, but we all are… only the time will be able to answer your question properly. I am sorry, Inuyasha-sama.” Another healer answered.
“It does not matter, now. The only thing that really matter is the fact that we are all here, healthy and happy.” Sesshoumaru said. “And we want to sleep.” He added in a child like manner, in front of the healers, something totally odd to him.
“We are finishing and soon we are leaving, you can go and join them Inuyasha-sama.” The healers said accomplishing their task.
Some minutes later Inuyasha was in the bed admiring their son with a worried expression. Sesshoumaru then caressed a finger on his face and said.
“Don’t worry otouto. His life will be different from ours. We are together and we are going to create a bright and fantastic future for him and his future brothers and sisters. Please believe me. From now on our present, future and our happiness are the only things that really matter.” Sesshoumaru said kissing his brother and then his baby-boy. “Now sleep, I am tired and sleepy”
“Hai, Sesshoumaru-nii….” Inuyasha said as he covered his family and joined them in their dreamy-sleepy night. And they dreamed of the future….
