Disclaimer: I do not own the Inuyasha characters, they belong to Rumiko Takahashi. I do however own this plotline.

Sorry for long delay, I’m focusing on Secret Lovers and The Unexpected mainly, but I’ll update the others whenever I can. Anyway without further ado, here’s an update-

Chapter two:

Inuyasha demanded, “Damnit what’s going on here anyway? Hey Miroku, is that Sango girl still in bed healing her wounds or what?” as he stood beside the sitting monk.

Miroku answered somewhat irritated at Inuyasha, “Yes, I believe she is.”

Inuyasha tossed the wood into the fire saying, “Well she can’t just lay around in bed. Get her up, she’s the only one who knows where Naraku is hiding.” Staring at the monk he continued, “She says she doesn’t know where he’s hiding, but if we keep looking around, something’s bound to jog her memory sooner or later.

Miroku, staring at the fire, said calmly, “It must have been a spell, and now that it’s worn off, she’s forgotten everything.”

Inuyasha braked, “Who cares about her spell and wounds? We’ve been waiting around ten days. I would’ve been up in three.”

Miroku said amused, “Not me, I would be bedridden for at least a month.” Turning to the impatient hanyou he added, “Besides, Sango’s not just suffering physically. She’s lost her entire family and village. Her heart’s been deeply wounded.”

Inuyasha scoffed, “Oh a wounded heart huh? Well the best cure for that is vengeance. And to get our revenge, we have to find Naraku.” Turning his back to the monk he said, “I’m gonna go see if she remembers- “

Miroku annoyed with Inuyasha’s seemingly lack of care for the girl, picked up a log and threw it at the back of Inuyasha’s head.

Inuyasha swung around and demanded, “Why’d you do that?!” as his hand went to his injured head, feeling a lump.

Miroku stood to his feet and said sternly, “Leave her rest for a while. I guarantee that will be the best medicine.”

Kagome, who’d been cleaning the linens, made some lunch and took it into Sango. She stood in the doorway and gasped, “She’s gone,” as she stared at the empty bedding.

Over the time that, Sango’s body healed. Her resolute determination to free her brother also hardened. By the time she was able to stand, and move around without pain, she had two goals in mind: Destroy Naraku, and Free Kohaku.

Sango was sitting beside the graves. She’d be shocked when she walked out of her home this morning and found the graves.

Flashback-

Sango woke up restless and walked outside the hut. She gasped as her hand went to cover her mouth. Her bruneous eyes, filling with unshed tears, as she looked at the freshly dug graves.

She knelt in front of the graves burning some incense and placing a hand on one of the multitude of graves. She lovingly pat the mound of dirt whispering a silent prayer for her fellow warriors and villagers, who’d all been slain, by that deceitful hanyou- Naraku.

End flashback-

Sango picked up one of the flowers, and pet her companion Kirara, while she stared at the flowers, on the graves.

Kagome ran up “Sango! What are you doing? I don’t think you should be up, you need to rest.” As she ran up behind her, sitting beside her. frowning with concern, thinking about how it would normally take much longer to completely heal after something like this.

Sango said, “The graves… you buried all the villagers, and put flowers on their graves,” staring at the flower in her hand; while petting Kirara with the other one still.

Kagome at a loss for words, tried to figure out how to cheer her up.”

Sango spotting the jewel around the younger girl’s neck, asked, “That’s a sacred jewel shard around your neck, isn’t it?”

Kagome explained. Sango said, “Naraku will come for it for sure, that’s why I want to join you and your friends.”

Sango stood to her feet saying, “Alright, call your friends. You helped bury the dead, so I will tell you, how the jewel came to be.”

Kagome called over the monk and Hanyou. Inuyasha carried Sango who was still recovering, and they entered the cave.

There Sango told them of the legendary priestess Midoriko, and how and why she created the shikon no tama.

Kirara and Shippo stayed side, by side while they listened to the story, each person was lost in their own thoughts.
