Chapter Thirteen: The Banquet
It felt a bit invigorating to see her& nbsp;dining hal completely fil ed once more with her tribe. Aiyuki was
even&nb sp;more ecstatic to see more of the othe r wolf tribes there plus Inuyasha and hi s friends. Rin was even playing
a game&n bsp;of tag with Shippou and the wolf cub s, the children even gave her head start s since she was human.
Jaken kept a watchful eye on the young girl while&n bsp;Sesshoumaru kept himself nearly scarce yet,&nb sp;Aiyuki could tel
he was keeping&nbs p;a close eye on not only the little&nbs p;child but herself. Even after the events&nb sp;that just transpired he
was never aw ay from her for long. Rather than changi ng in to a dinner kimono, Aiyuki had&nbs p;the hand maidens
clean and polish her armor so she could proudly wear it ;during the banquet, to show that she wa s now the proud
heir to the Eastern ;lands.
“Lady Aiyuki.†Tasuke& nbsp;had come up to her for the first&nb sp;time since he had returned. He was kn elt
down upon one knee and stayed there. Aiyuki gingerly reached down and place d a hand upon his shoulder for
him to rise.
“Tasuke, it is al right.†She offered him a gentle smile as he stood once more. â€&oe lig;I am fine with the way
things happen ed and I am sorry you had to hear&n bsp;it from the others rather than from me.â€
“It is alright, my& nbsp;Lady. You were grieving and rightly so.& acirc;€ Tasuke was taken off guard when& nbsp;Aiyuki
had grabbed him to pul &nbs p;him in to a tight embrace, it took&nbs p;him a moment before he had returned it . He could feel
Sesshoumaru glaring at& nbsp;him but Tasuke was no fool to take& nbsp;what was not his, never was to begi n with.
“They would not wish&nb sp;us to continue to grieve. We have rec laimed the East from Naraku, this should
be enjoyed and celebrated.â€
â€&o elig;Aye. Besides, they are with us ever ;more, correct?†Tasuke and Aiyuki pul ed from the embrace
before the wo man's hands rested upon the hilts of her swords at her sides.
“Aye,&nbs p;that they are.†She smiled genuinely before she looked to the crowd of guests that continued
to have fun with& nbsp;in her hal s.
“Go mingle,& nbsp;my Lady. There wil be no pressing& nbsp;matters to tend to on this night. I wil see to it that
everyone ;has sleeping arrangements that wil be staying here.†Tasuke bowed his head&n bsp;as Aiyuki nodded to him
before disa ppearing in to the crowd. The general st ood there for a moment, long enough to&n bsp;wait for
Sesshoumaru top walk up to him. “You have nothing to ;fret over, Lord Sesshoumaru.â€
â&euro ;œOh?†Sesshoumaru did not spare ;the wolf even a smal glance in th e conversation they were going
to have.
“I only serve and protect Lady Aiyuki. She is not the one I w ish to be mated to.†Tasuke looke d back
to the crowd again. â€&oeli g;We have more of a sibling relationship ;if anything. Though I have one thing I& nbsp;must ask of

co ming from the daiyoukai. “Shal I prepare a room for Jaken and Rin ? I shal make sure the demons work ing the
stables tonight care for Ah-Un a s wel .â€
“That would&nbs p;be fine.†Sesshoumaru spared Tasuke a glance only to see the wolf bowing&nbs p;again.

else Sesshouma ru needed.

Sesshoumaru searched the cro wd for Aiyuki and found her speaking to& nbsp;Kouga and Ayame. Now would be the < br> opportune moment to steal her away. Stri ding through the crowd he did not find&n bsp;it too difficult to get to her, it&n bsp;was
as if the guests had parted&nbs p;way for him. Wise of them. As the ;three wolves laughed about something they ha d
been conversing over, Sesshoumaru stepped& nbsp;up next to her, Kouga and Ayame giv ing him a nod of greeting in
which he returned the gesture.
“Sessh oumaru? What troubles you?†Aiyuki loo ked up to him oblivious to what his ;scent had meant,
she had caught it earl ier on him that day and it was stil just as foreign. The other two kn ew what was to happen
and excused themselves to leave them be.
“I came to ask a tour from you person al y.†Sesshoumaru gave her his f ul attention and she gave
him her s in return.
“I believe I c an do that. A ful tour is in order.†Aiyuki smiled gently to him&nb sp;and shyly took a hold of
his&nb sp;right arm when he had offered it for& nbsp;her. They began the tour outside away&nb sp;from everyone so they would be
alone , though the both of them could sense&nb sp;that Inuyasha and his companions, sans the fox kit, were not far
away watchi ng them. Aiyuki giggled softly which caused&n bsp;Sesshoumaru to raise a brow.

“O h, just our tag a longs. They are b oth worried and curious. Kagome is the m ost joyous I believe.â€
“ Why would she be joyous?†Sesshoumaru& nbsp;paused at the koi fil ed pond and&n bsp;watched the elegant
fish swim around.
“We made a pact is al &n bsp;and no you wil not be informed ;of what the pact was about.†Aiy uki looked at
the koi as wel havin g always been fascinated with them. They ;were silent for quite some time just ad miring the
fish swimming around.

long ago. ;The feelings after al this time had&nb sp;returned in an even greater force. When&nb sp;she turned toward him he
turned towa rds her and brought her tightly to him,& nbsp;their armor clanging gently together at the contact.
“Sessh.†She&nbs p;looked up at him and saw the look ;of desire burning deep with in his eyes . She felt her
body begin to openly ;blossom for him. Her scent turning in t o the most fragrant perfume of cherry bl ossoms and
snow. Both of their scents&n bsp;mingled together adding to their internal ;flames.
“Yuki-chan, do you stil&nbs p; love me?†His voice was almost quiet and dark, the husky rasp fil ;ing it made
her body burn even more.
“Always have, Sesshy-kun. Always w ill I love you.†She responded ba ck to him, her voice fil ed with wanton desire for him. To have him c omplete her, take her as his mate and&nb sp;show her what it was like to be taken
as a longed for woman. His woman,& nbsp;his mate, his partner. The kiss he pul ed her in to was not like any&n bsp;of the
others they had recently sha red. This one was hot and passion fil&nb sp;ed. No emotions held back as their li ps locked,
their tongue battling for dominanc e. Their moment lasted for what seemed l ike an eternity for both of them.
