â& euro;œI have no clue. I thought she&nbs p;was with you, Sesshoumaru.†Tasuke s eemed a bit perturbed by the

â€&oel ig;If she is harmed.†He growled stating the threat mostly for his own be nefit as he stalked out of the
war room to see if he could not find&n bsp;any leads of where she could have ra n off to. The great dog demon was n ot
expecting to run right in to hi s little brother who seemed to be out&nb sp;of sorts.
“Sesshoumaru?†I nuyasha stumbled back, his skin pasty as  ;if something had spooked him good.
Ses shoumaru had no time for this, he needed to find Aiyuki and make sure she w as safe.
“Not now, brother.â&e uro;
“You can't find her can&nbs p;you?†Inuyasha crossed his arms and& nbsp;glared at the flooring. “You&nb sp;won't, I
can promise you that.â&eur o;
“What is that suppose to  ;mean?†His voice was dripping with&nb sp;the warning that heads would rol if& nbsp;he

“Loo k, I don't know where she ran off t o but she left this note for al &nb sp;of us to find this morning.†< br> Inuyasha pul ed out a scrol from&n bsp;the sleeve of his haori and handed i t over to Sesshoumaru. The dog demon
read over the letter not once, not tw ice, but a total of three times trying&n bsp;to let her words sink in. Tasuke rai sed a

“Does she say where she&n bsp;was going?†The general asked now& nbsp;completely worried about the safety
of& nbsp;his leader, when Sesshoumaru handed him the note he decided it would be best&nbs p;to read it out loud as the
broth ers' companions came down the hal . &aci rc;€œEveryone, please do not worry nor& nbsp;fret over me. I wil be fine. I wil be

Sesshoumaru,&n bsp;my beloved, you too have a great par t to play in the final battle against&nb sp;Naraku. That I have

“So&nbs p;she has in a sense completely vanished.&aci rc;€ Miroku rubbed his chin seeing that& nbsp;Sesshoumaru's

“She& nbsp;is carrying my young!†He snapped at the monk, though the news was a shock to literal y
everyone there.&nbs p;He slowly calmed himself and raised a brow feeling the sense of happiness and pride coming
from the whole lot of  ;them.
“That is wonderful news, Sesshoumaru!†Kagome hopped a little a s she spoke, as if she were the
happiest out of al of them. â& euro;œThen what she has done is complet ely perfect. She is not only protecting herself
from harm but she's protecting your unborn child too.†She smiled&nbs p;as if that thought should have been ob vious.
“You are wise, miko.â&e uro; Sesshoumaru had let her words sink in and found that the other worldly
woman was definitely speaking truth. There was much sense in what Aiyuki had done&n bsp;and it would mean that
their child& nbsp;would be safe. He had just wished h e would be there for the birthing, to&nb sp;be there for her when she
would  ;need him the most.
“It's the&nb sp;same thing I would do if I were put in to in the same situation.â€
“I see.†Sesshoumaru to ok the scrol that Tasuke held out for him and he rol ed it back up&nb sp;again
before tucking it in to his&nb sp;chest plate. He then looked to his wa rds seeing they were both ready to conti nue on
their journey. “It  ;is time we leave. My hunt for Naraku&nb sp;continues.â€
“Yes, mi Lord! Ah-Un is ready and waiting for us just outside the stables.†Jaken was&n bsp;already
excited to get the hunt goi ng again. He would always be loyal, fol& nbsp;owing Sesshoumaru where ever he may go&n bsp;it

“We have&nbs p;got to keep going. There are more jewe l shards out there.†Sango hoisted&nbs p;Hiraikotsu on
to her back again and&n bsp;smiled as Kirara jumped upon her shoulder letting out a soft meow.
â€&oelig ;Yeah. Can't stay in one place for too&n bsp;long.†Inuyasha looked down the ha l s and felt a little sorrow
that& nbsp;he would not get to see Aiyuki unti l Naraku was defeated. He was not sure&n bsp;how long that would take at al .&nbs p;
Tasuke escorted al of them outside&n bsp;and watched as they got ready to par t ways. The other wolf tribes had left&n bsp;

“Do not be&nbs p;strangers. You are al welcome here an y time you would like.†He smiled gently as he

â&e uro;œAiyuki?†A now much older R ieka came from behind her mother seeing her childhood friend

"What brings you here to& nbsp;us, child? Are you in some kind of& nbsp;turmoil?" Chouyei walked over to Aiyuki
and gently helped the female wolf to her feet.
"No ma'am, no turmoil. I just&nbs p;came to inquire if I may be permitted& nbsp;to stay here for a length of time."
Aiyuki smiled gently to the woman  ;who had helped raise her and the younge r whom she viewed as a sister.
"We received word that you were able to recl aim your lands from Naraku's hold." Rieka&nbs p;stepped up
to her mother's side, ecst atic to see her adopted sister again. It had been far too long.
"Aye, I did . Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha aided me in d oing so, if not for them I would no t be here

"There is mu ch you need to update us on, Aiyuki.&nbs p;You are permitted to stay as long as&n bsp;it takes for
Naraku to be defeated. Those are your terms for keeping from&n bsp;Sesshoumaru now, are they not?" Chouyei < br> smiled having always known what went thr ough the girls' minds when they were tro ubled.
"I thank you. Those are indeed my terms, I do not wish to cause dist raction to either of the brothers
in&nb sp;their tasks." Aiyuki bowed her head feelin g a little saddened by the means she&nbs p;was having to go to. The wind

Sessoumar u. That he had final y made her his chosen mate.
"You are with child too."& nbsp;Chouyei smiled having caught the scent t he moment the female ookami

Aiyuki tightly as Rieka giggled.
"And to be an Aunt? Such&n bsp;joyous times, Aiyuki! We must set a feast and you can catch us up on everyting that has happened!"
"We mean eve rything, too." Chouyei smiled as she gently&n bsp;took Aiyuki's arm to lead her inside.
"There real y has not been too much&nb sp;missed that I know of. I wil do my best to catch you both up,

"You& nbsp;have been through Hel and back fro m what it sounds like." Rieka finished u p her food and

"Aye, wel&n bsp; it has not al been sunshines and daises since you two left. Though I& nbsp;am glad to see you

"Alas, I gave up on ever havin g a lady-like woman as a daughter. She&n bsp;is a fighter as from
Inutaishou's b lood. Just as you are a fighter, Aiyuki. " Chouyei smiled softly as she sat her&n bsp;empty wine glass

"The swords have bec ome quite powerful." Aiyuki pul ed up th e swords that had always been tied at

" They wil continue to get stronger as&nb sp;you do." Chouyei reached over and placed&n bsp;her hand upon

"Thank you."&nbs p;Aiyuki could feel the tears weld up in her eyes and Chouyei patted the top&nbs p;of her hand.
"Rieka, why don't you sho w Aiyuki to her room? She will need  ;her rest for the months to come."
"Yes& nbsp;ma'am." Rieka stood and walked over to&n bsp;Aiyuki holding her hand out with a s mile. Aiyuki
returned the smile and car eful y placed her hand in Rieka's.
"Good night, Aiyuki."
"Good night, Lady Chouyei."&n bsp;Aiyuki bowed her head before she fol  ;owed Rieka down the corridors.
"I'm sorry&nb sp;my brother took forever. It was plenty&nbs p;obvious to me that you two were going& nbsp;to be

"Aye, I wil not argue that. We had  ;our differences of opinions over the years&n bsp;but, I think al of that is

"K nowing my brother, I know it is." Rieka& nbsp;winked as she opened a pair of doub le doors. "Put al your

and walked in& nbsp;to her new room. Smiling as she alr eady felt the stress releasing from her.
"Good night, Rie-chan."
"Night, Yuki-chan." Rieka& nbsp;smiled as she closed the door, heading&n bsp;toward her room. The young lady

"It was not tracking. I simply figured out wher e she would go to. She is safe here and thus our

"Aye. Mother and I wil not let an ything happen to her or the young." Riek a lifted up her sword and

"I know you wil .&n bsp;I may yet return here again to seek& nbsp;council with our Mother. I know not  ;when that

to meet him? Or possibly&n bsp;bring him with you next time?" Hearing&nb sp;the growl that came from him made her laugh a

"I make no promise to that."
"Try at least for me? Besides&n bsp;I am sure he would love to hold  ;the baby too." She glanced back to
see Sesshoumaru actual y smirking and not&n bsp;the deadly kind either.
"Fine." With just that as a reply, Sesshoumaru headed&nb sp;off to return to his wards and contin ue the

chuckled softly. "Oh, I do  ;look forward to meeting our little brother.& nbsp;Perhaps when al is done you could& nbsp;take me
to meet him? Or possibly&n bsp;bring him with you next time?" Hearing&nb sp;the growl that came from him made her laugh a
little.
"I make no promise to that."
"Try at least for me? Besides&n bsp;I am sure he would love to hold  ;the baby too." She glanced back to
see Sesshoumaru actual y smirking and not&n bsp;the deadly kind either.
"Fine." With just that as a reply, Sesshoumaru headed&nb sp;off to return to his wards and contin ue the
quest of defeating Naraku.
