I am different,
So they mock me.
 
I have different eyes and hair,
So they laugh at me.
 
I blunder and fall,
So they beat me.
 
I get lost in my mind,
So they call me a retard.
 
I make noises different to them,
So they copy me.
 
How am I different?
 
I breathe, eat and sleep,
As do they.
 
I walk, run and play,
As do they.
 
I imagine, contemplate and calculate,
As do they.
 
I feel jealousy, hurt and pain,
As do they.
 
I can be happy, sad or excited,
As can they.
 
So can you tell me,
How am I so different?
