Chapter 12: A Finish of a Meeting; Into the Demon’s Ravine

I had returned from my room in a very elegant outfit. Black seemed to be my color this fine afternoon, so I changed from my birthday suit to a long flowing black kimono. The kimono had no patterns what-so-ever and for that I was very pleased. I wore no shoes and walked bare foot through the hallways with Ayia as my guide. Apparently, Sesshomaru had brought the other Taiyouki's to a conference room on the other side of the castle. We arrived at some large wood doors at the end of the passage. I had noticed that this corridor seemed different then the others. I paused for a moment and checked my surroundings.

It took me a good time-consuming moment before I figured out what this “something” was. “Ayia, why does this hall have no windows or doors? And now that I think about it, it doesn’t have any pictures or statues or anything. What’s up with that?” Ayia twitched her nose in a very rabbit like fashion and smiled.

“It doesn’t have any doors or windows just in case an enemy breaks the barrier and tries to listen in on there plan. And some powerful youki can change into pictures and statues and those kinds of things, so like this we know if there is anything suspicious.” Ayia said with a sigh. “Well, this is were I leave you my lady. No servants are aloud past those doors. So I hope that your meeting with the other lords goes well.” Ayia hugged me and I returned the embrace.

“Well, here goes nothing.” I shrugged and walked to the door. I could sense the other lords in the room. I slowly opened the large doors with the brass handle and I walked into an attractive little room. It had a cathedral high ceiling with an amazing chandelier. Since there were no windows (and the light bulb hadn’t been invented yet) the room would’ve been very dark. But, the masterpiece hanging from the ceiling created enough light for us to see as if we were outside in the warm sun.

“Nice to see that you are dressed and ready to join us.” Sesshomaru said slipping an icy shield over him. His eyes became emotionless and his voice was cold. I felt a bit nervous under his piercing eyes so I looked at the ground. “I’m sorry my lord.” I said meekly. “Come sit.” Sesshomaru said coolly gesturing at the seat to his right. I sat next to the black tiger lord, Saitokomaru. The table was rectangular and had about eight seats all around it. Sesshomaru sat at the head of the table, then to his left was Enigmaru noble of wolves. Next to the wolf sat Taigokomaru. And finally Saitokomaru sat next to me and across from the great bat.

“Let us finally begin.” Sesshomaru closed his eyes. “Who would like to start?” The demon lord opened his eyes to see everyone looking at him.

‘This is going to be a long meeting.’ Sesshomaru sighed and took his fingers to his temples and began to massage them. “I guess I’ll start if there are no objections.” Everyone nodded for him to start.

“Come on lets go!!!!!! The blood is getting closer I can smell it.” Inuyasha growled the last part. The group was heading toward the scent of a slaughter coming from the west. Inuyasha lead the group onward through the forest. With a sudden burst of speed he ran on ahead and left the others in his dust. Inuyasha finally reached were the scent was coming from. He was standing on top of a canyon and was looking into a large ravine. The ravine was littered with demons of all sorts. Blood was splattered on the canyon’s walls and the sharp smell made Inuyasha cover his nose with the sleeve of his fire rat.

A few minutes later the rest of the group caught up and stood dumbfounded at the edge of the cliff. Kilara had changed into her cute form and was sitting on Miroku’s shoulder. “Who would slaughter so many demons?” Sango asked gazing into the gorge. Miroku shook his head. “I have no idea.” Miroku looked to Inuyasha. “There is no way of knowing who did this. But the big problem is getting across here. It’s too far to jump so what are we going to do?” Inuyasha sat down Indian style and looked up to the sky. “It would take ages to walk around this ravine. And Kilara would get tired to quickly if she took us over one at a time. The only way to do this is to go through this hell hole and continue on through the other side.” Inuyasha pointed to a mass of trees off to the left of the canyon.

“Then lets get started, this smell is burning my nose.” Teranchi smiled and plugged his nose. Inuyasha stood up and started his decent down the rocky ledge. The others followed cautiously just in case the killer of the mass of demons was still around.

Kikyou watched closely. The group started to come down the rock wall and head to the forest. She had planned everything carefully. Kikyou was sick and tired of Naraku giving orders. Kikyou wanted her soul back and she was going to get it even if it meant killing the others. Her grey eyes searched the ravine for one of her soul-stealers. She wanted to make sure everything was ready for her arrangement. Tonight, Inuyasha would go to hell with her and she would have her soul back. No more mooching off the souls of young deceased women. Kikyou wanted to feel complete again.

She waved her hand and a soul-stealer appeared. “Make sure everything is prepared for tonight, no mistakes.” She petted the snaky creature and it was off.

N ow, if I remember correctly, we left Casey and Melanie in that horrid well.
Hee hee hee. (Maybe I should just leave them there. OHH!! Did I type that out loud??)

“God damn it Casey get off me!!!!” Melanie says while shoving Casey off of her. “It’s not my fault we are like this. Where’re we anyway?” Casey asks while standing up and leaving Melanie on the ground. “I have no idea. But apparently we aren’t in the shrine house anymore. There is too much light.” Melanie stands up and dusts herself off. “Let’s get out of here. It smells funny, like old feet or something.” Casey and Melanie begin there climb out of the old well.

“Wow look at this, we are in a forest!” Casey starts to spin around in circles as Melanie just nods. “But the number one question of the day is where are we? I mean it’s like we traveled through time or something.” Melanie scratches her head and sits at the edge of the well.

“Stupid!! We can’t travel through time. That’s like impossible!” Casey stops jumping around and puts her long red hair behind one ear. Suddenly out of nowhere a squirrel appears with a nut in his tiny little paws. “Aww!!! It’s so cute!!” Casey begins her chase after the creature leaving Melanie alone.

“God retard!!!” Melanie stands up and shakes her head. “I was hoping to get rid of her one way or another. I guess this works out fine.” Melanie laughs and embarks on her mission to find her friend.

DAH DAH DAH DUM!!!!!

ON to NARAKU!!!!!

Ever since the first girl had come from the future Naraku had been watching the well for any other unexpected visitors. Naraku sat on the floor in one of his vast rooms. He relaxed and motioned with his hand for one of his incarnations. “Kanna, show me the well and the two newcomers.” He closed his eyes and slowly reopened them to find Kanna and her small mirror. “As you wish master.” Kanna says in a small and emotionless voice. Naraku peers into her silver mirror and watches a redhead and a dark-blonde climb out of the well. “The small redheaded one seems a bit unorthodox. Dispose of her.” Kagura appears from the doorway and bows deeply. “Yes master Naraku, whatever you yearn.” Kagura turns around as if to leave but Naraku stops her. “Ohh and Kagura, bring the brown haired one. And make sure you don’t fail me again like you did last time.”

Kagura glared at Naraku. “Yes master I shall not fail.” Kagura walks through the room divider and starts off on her journey to find the two females.

Kanna stares blankly at her “master” and continues showing him as he requests. “Kanna, show me now what Kikyou is doing.” Naraku moves a stray bang away from his face and puts it behind his ear. Kanna waves a pale hand in front of the image and it fades away. In its place is Kikyou laying motionless in a tree.

Suddenly Kikyou awakes and looks straight at Naraku. “There is no need for you to spy on me Naraku, I shall do what is needed of me.” The mirror blacks out and shows the reflection of the hanyou. “Damn her, Kanna leave me.” Kanna walks slowly out of the room into some far off place in the castle.

‘How does Kikyou always know when I watch her. I need to find a way to observe her while she is doing my dirty work. The only way I can think of is by having Kagura or Kanna go and send me back an image. Yes, I will have Kanna go since Kagura is running an errand for me.’

Naraku smiles evilly. He then uses his bond between his incarnations and tells Kanna what to do. ‘Kanna, watch Kikyou and show me the image of what you see. Make sure not to interfere with her plans. I want to know what she is doing’ Kanna sends an okay and rides on top of a demon to her destination.

“Perfect, my plan is forming in the end I shall have Kikyou dead, Kagome mine, and all the power that I need to control everything.”

In another distant alternate dimension Forgotten is sitting and watching

“Darling Melanie, it seems that you have returned. I knew that my sister wouldn’t be able to be rid of you. Unfortunately, she took you memories and made you forget. Well, since she is currently “decommissioned”, I will be restoring you.” Forgotten stood swiftly and with a wave of her gown she was off. Her brown-silver streaked hair floated eerily around her. Her extended lashes closed gently and opened to reveal a wall. Her purple eyes blazed mysteriously as she waved her hand.

A portal appeared in front of her that led through the wall. She smirked and floated through the gateway.

She landed gracefully on top of a steep rock crag facing what seemed to be an ocean of some sort. “Perfect, the pool of lost memories is finally open to me. Now to find where my daughter’s memories are at.” She walks into the pool and slowly faded away into a well organized pool of memories from the living and the dead.

YAY!!!!! Time for me to return at the meeting!!!!

I was bored. And that is just putting it lightly. First they had a talk about stocks and taxes. Then they spoke about how to make the people start to respect them more and how to become better at there job. I for one almost feel asleep! I was kinda paying attention but every once and a while I would drop my head and doze of for a second or two, but then I would wake with a start only to get sleepy and start the process over again.

Finally, I was so uninterested and fed up with there conversation that I stared at the ceiling and tried to count all the little lines I could fined, and then I slumped my head on the table and slept for about two hours or so.

I came around back to reality and out of dream world when everything was totally silent. I sluggishly lifted my head and found myself gazing at Enigmaru. His worn grey eyes held a twinkle of laughter in them. I gazed around to the other Taiyouki's and stopped when I met the eyes of Sesshomaru. I felt ashamed for falling asleep to such an important meeting that I bowed my head and looked at the now very interesting table.

Then it all happened at once. Laughter, and a lot of it. It came from almost all of the Lords. Even Sesshomaru had a happy glow in his golden gaze. I smiled and blushed a thin shade of pink which made them laugh even harder.

“What’s so funny?” I asked with a broad smile. “You are young one. Did you know that you snore?” Saitokomaru patted my shoulder and I covered my face with my hands. “No, I don’t snore” I said defiantly, I just have problems with my nose that’s all.”

“Child, it sounded like you were cutting lumber.” I rolled my eyes at the bat demon. “It wasn’t my fault I had no place in this conversation what-so-ever and that I was bored out of my mind!” I started to fiddle with my thumbs at all the attention. “Well, what is it you want to talk about?” Sesshomaru asked slipping his icy cover himself again.

“Naraku, I wanna talk about Naraku and how to stop him.” Everything got quiet very hastily. “Why would a young lady such as yourself want to talk about a man problem?” Taigokomaru questioned while sitting up straighter in his chair. “Because I have friends that are fighting him and I think I should know what the “greater” demons thought about it.” I brought my chin up another notch to tell him I was completely serious about the situation.

“Sesshomaru, what do you think? Should we tell her what we know or do we leave her out of it.” Enigmaru asked turning his head to face the dog demon. Sesshomaru started to massage his temples again. “If she really wants to know, I say tell her.” The other demons looked at me.

“Child, what do you already know about Naraku?” Inquired Enigmaru. I pondered to myself for a moment.

“I know that Naraku is a half demon and that he has already 2/3’s of the jewel. He used to be the bandit Onigumo and he can choose when he turns weaker. He gets stronger by switching up the demons inside of him and has no limitations. He often wears a baboon pelt and uses puppets to do his dirty work. He has the power to make incarnations and he killed the northern wolf demon tribe.” I paused and looked over to the wolf demon for any reaction, there was none.

“Ummm, let’s see here, he is evil and he is trying to kill my friends. Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, Kouga, Teranchi, (I counted them off one by one with a clawed hand) and the others are trying to kill him first though. Naraku has been terrorizing everyone he comes in contact with, and he once got rid of his human heart so he could kill Kikyou. It didn’t work out so well. And I know there is some other stuff but I can’t remember at the moment.” I looked at the others to see if I left anything out.

“How do you know so much?” Saitokomaru asked staring dumbfounded at me. “Not even I knew that much and I am very wise and curious about Naraku.” I glanced at Sesshomaru to find out if I should tell him I was from the future. Then I remembered, I didn’t tell him.

“I know a lot of people who know things.” I hoped they would buy the cheep and not well thought of lie. “Ok sounds good, we never ask who our contacts are so, you know a great deal. But, how do you know about my sons Teranchi and Kouga?” Enigmaru leaned forward and gazed intently on my face.

“Kouga I met a while back and I would like to say that we are friends. As for Teranchi, I was on a journey and some things happened, funny story really.” I smiled meekly.

“And what is this funny story?” Enigmaru quirked an eyebrow.

“Well, my companion and I had had a long day of running and I urgently needed to bathe. I had smelt out water inside of a cave. It was a wondrous hot spring out in the forest. I stripped off my clothes and climbed into the water. I was there for a few moments before I heard a light growl, I thought it was my companion so I didn’t even bother to turn around. He questioned my companions name and I turned around to find him looking at my breasts. I couldn’t change with him standing there like that. I tried to cover myself but I couldn’t reach my clothes. I asked him to hand it to me and he said no he couldn’t because I needed to be his mate. I refused and called for my friend. My friend came to my aid and the squabbled for a few moments as your son watched me. My consort said something very stupid about another incident that happened with Kouga so Teranchi lifted me out of the spring and gazed at me. I thought it very rude of him. They left and he became one of my traveling partners.”

Enigmaru laughed heartily. “That is my son alright, he is a bit persistent at first but eventually he gives up and leaves it to his brother. I have been so busy lately that I haven’t seen either of them in weeks. I wonder how they are doing.” The great wolf demon frowned a bit. “But it sounds that they are doing fine. Thank you for that bit of comfort.” I smiled sadly “It must be sad not to see you sons, apparently you have your daughter but still, wouldn’t it be nice to see them again?” Enigmaru shut his eyes and leaned back in his chair. “Yes, that would be nice.”

“Now, before this sentimental moment we were talking about Naraku.” Taigokomaru said in a very raspy voice. We all nodded in agreement. “Yes, Naraku has been plaguing my lands and my people for a long time now, and whenever we do fight him he sends out a cloud of miasma and continues on leaving many of my men butchered.” Saitokomaru took a black striped hand and began tapping it on the table. “He only seems to become stronger and his barriers are almost undefeatable. Not even my bat demon tribe could break through it and we are masters at barriers.” The bat demon stood up and began pacing back and forth. “He is such a vile creature, I heard a demon started doing business with him not but a while back. It ended out in a false transaction and the death of that demon. Naraku seems to take pleasure in handing out his accursed shards until he has no more use for the demon that possesses it.”

Sesshomaru turned his head away from the other demons and myself and stared at a nearby plant. “You say that his barriers are strong, even I have problems breaking though them. The only person that I can think of is my damned half brother Inuyasha. His sword used to be my fathers fang, the Tetsusaiga. It has the power to open any barrier, my half brother has even broken Naraku’s barrier once before.” Sesshomaru's eyes held malice and anger in them.

“Sesshomaru, if you can admit that your brother has a talent then why not have him join you in the fight against Naraku?” Sesshomaru flung himself around me. “Because I am the better, FULLBLOODED demon!! Not some half demon that has a weak human mother. I am the greatest one out of my family that is why I am the lord and that is why he stuck with a handful of humans, a fire neko, and a fox demon!!! I will not have his named mentioned again in my home! I will not have him be my disgrace because he only a FILTHY HALFBREED!!!!!”

That was the last straw. I had had enough of his foolishness.

I abruptly stood up from my seat and headed over to face the now raging lord. Tears came streaking down my face. He looked at me fiercely and I slapped him. The slap rang through the silence of the large cathedral high room. I began my run to the door, but before I could even touch the handle the demon lord of the western land had grabbed me by my wrist and held me still.

“How dare you even touch me, I am the master of my castle and you will follow my rules and instructions.” Tears came pouring down my slightly puffy cheeks.

“Then what am I too you? Am I just a filthy half-breed with no dignity and no sense of anything? I think not! I am just as good as you and when you get off your high horse and figure out that the world doesn’t revolve around you then you can tell me that I am nothing. But until that day comes, and it will be an icy day in hell when it does, don’t you dare talk about Inuyasha like that. Because if you haven’t noticed, I am a hanyou, I have a handful of human friends; I enjoy talking to the young kit and the neko. Everyone’s different, and so what if he’s a hanyou, she’s a human, and you’re a full-blooded demon? I don’t give a shit; maybe if you lived a different life like some homeless child on the streets in some horrible village, then I would have some sympathy for you. But all you are is an ass. You are an ass with a capital A. Perhaps if you take a good look at yourself and then at Inuyasha you will notice that you are an arrogant bitch. I know that not everyone’s perfect. Hell I don’t think anyone’s perfect so if you don’t mind release me and burn in hell!” Sesshomaru retracted his hand from my wrist and I ran through the door and to my room.

Sesshomaru slowly turned around to face the other demons. “She told you off.” Saitokomaru said quietly looking at the red hand print on the western lords’ face. “Not one person in my entire life has ever said such a thing to me, not once in over 230 years. I am shocked beyond any recognition. I think this meeting is over I will send a messenger for you to check if our diplomacy are still in contact.” Sesshomaru silently moved away from the door and watched the demons leave.

Enigmaru was the last to depart out the door. “Sesshomaru, you are a great demon and you had to grow up very quickly at a very young age. I think that you have had a grudge of your brother for too long now. It is time you grow up and confront him about your problems with him.” Sesshomaru snorted and turned the other cheek from the graying demon. “Ohh and Sesshomaru, it would be best if you talk to the girl too. It seems that is the first time I had seen you laugh or had even a hint of a smile in such a long time. I don’t even think I saw you smile as a child.” Enigmaru swept out of the conference room and headed to Rin’s room where he could find his daughter.

KIKYOU!!!!

Kikyou had spent the last hour or so finishing up her plans. It was getting late in the evening and Inuyasha and the rest of the group had found the clearing that she had led them too. They were quietly setting up camp and when everyone was asleep, a horror would occur.

&%&%&%&%&&%%&%&%&%& %&%&&%%&%&

Melanie AND Casey!!!!

“Ummm, I think I’m lost.” Casey sat down on top of a fallen tree and began to braid her long red hair. “I wonder what happened to Melanie. Aww oh well, I will just retrace my steps and find her.” So Casey started to go back the way she had came in search for her companion. (If you haven’t noticed yet, I love that word!!! Companion, companion, COMPANION!!!)

Melanie was still by the well, she strutted back and forth through the clearing until you could see slight indentions in the ground. “Casey can be such a nincompoop sometimes. She just ran into the forest with no consent for her well being. I started to go in, but I got nervous.” Melanie laughed nervously and a sweat drop comes on to her forehead. “I guess I need to find her before she does damage to herself or the forest.” Melanie imagines the forest burning and Casey sitting in the middle of it giggling with a squirrel on her shoulder.

(Note: this following part is between Casey and Melanie, everything in Italics is what Melanie is saying. Everything that’s normal is what Casey is saying.)

“Hmmm, I bet Melanie is doing just fine. I mean, she never seems to be in trouble as for me, I’m a bit…..”

“Ditsy, she can be so ditsy sometimes. She has no common....”

“Sense of direction. I need to find out were I am and how to get out of this. I need to send a.....”

Message to her somehow. Or I need to find some.....”

“Help!!! Help me I am lost in the woods!!! I need...”

“Assistance would be nice. I wonder if there is a.....”

Home, I just wanna go home and see my puppy, and my lizard, and my kitties, and my....”

Butt aches, that fall was horrible. Wow, I guess I should go and find her it’s getting late. Well here goes...”

“Everything!!! Everything is gone and out of my reach. I need to find Melanie. Melanie!! Melanie!!! Here I....”

“Go, ready...”

“Or not, here I.....”

“Come!!!”
“Come!!!”

Casey runs out of the forest and Melanie runs into Casey. They crash and fall unconscious.

“Well, that was easy enough. Naraku will be very pleased with me.” An ominous voice floats down from on top of a giant feather. Kagura jumps off and picks up the two girls and plops them on her magic feather. It glides upward and into the sunset.

!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@!@@!@!@!@!@

Miles and miles away in a clearing next to a craggy ravine is a camp full of people; a hanyou, a miko, a monk, a demon slayer, a demon, a kit, and a fire neko. The party is set up for the night and currently eating there dinner of ramen, soda, and potato chips. The sun sets behind the horizon and leaves a yellow and pink glow in the sky. The remaining beams make the eyes of a sorrowful hanyou a breathtaking shade of gold.

He climbs into a tree and gets ready to watch over the camp. One by one his friends are falling asleep and the fire is dying out. He too fell sound asleep.

Later that night at around 12 am

Kikyou watched from the brush. Everyone was pretty close to where she wanted them to be. An eerie glow surrounded her as she gave the signal to her soul-stealers to capture the camp. The flames had almost completely died except for a few flickering embers that left a radiance over the camp.

One by one the soul-stealers pinned the group to a tree. There touch was so light that all they did was grunt and maybe turn over. “Pathetic fools.” Kikyou came out of the thicket and stopped hiding her scent. Inuyasha awoke with a start to find Kikyou standing over a very frightened Kagome. Kikyou had her bow and arrows around her shoulder and was petting Kagome’s long ebony hair. Inuyasha rapidly searched the camp for any signs of life. All of his friends were awake and struggling to break free from the snaky creatures grasp.

Inuyasha jumped down from his limb and unsheathed the Tetsusaiga. He tried to free Miroku first since he was the closest, but to no avail. There was a heavy barrier around his friend that was muffling his friends cry for help. Inuyasha dashed over to Sango and tried to free her. But she too was stuck with in the barrier. Inuyasha concentrated all his power into his blade. The fang turned into a dangerous blood red, Inuyasha slammed his sword onto Sango’s barrier, but all he managed to do was get a wicked laugh from the undead priestess.

“Inuyasha, it has been a long time has it not?” Kikyou dropped her bow and arrows and stopped petting Kagome. “Kikyou you dirty bitch let them go.” Inuyasha locked eyes with the priestess. “I can’t do that Inuyasha. I have walked this earth for too long now. All I desire is for my soul back and that you keep your promise to me, your promise to go to hell with me.” Inuyasha started his advance towards Kikyou. “Let them go now! I can’t and won’t go to hell with you. You lied to me about loving me, all you wanted was for me to use the jewel to change into a human. You didn’t love me for who I was.” Inuyasha’s became very quiet as he stood about a foot away from the clay miko.

“Inuyasha, you have a very important decision to make, one that will change your life forever. You either come with me or all of your friends die. The barrier that I put around them can only be broken when I truly pass away. My soul-stealers can move in and out between them as can I. but whatever is in, is in. and whatever is out, is out. This also works for air. Slowly all of your friend’s air is disappearing. And my soul-stealers are gradually suffocating there lungs.” Kikyou stepped forward and she was in Inuyasha’s “danger” zone.

“Kikyou you wench! I will not go with you anywhere. I am gonna save my friends and put you to rest once and for all.” Inuyasha rushed at the barrier again with the red fang. He was flung back into a near by tree. He got up and tried again, this time with more power.

Nothing.

“You are taking too much time.” Kikyou waved her hand again. Inuyasha watched in horror as the monk was turning blue in the face. After a few seconds, the monk was hunched over motionless.

“You....YOU BITCH!!!! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU.” Inuyasha dashed at Kikyou but ended up hitting another barrier.

“Damn.” Inuyasha’s breath was raspy. He fell to his knees and looked at the ground, his bangs shielding his eyes. “DAMN YOU Kikyou. DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!” Kikyou just laughed even harder and motioned her hand again.

Inuyasha abruptly looked up to see the same thing happen to Sango as what happened to Miroku. “NOO!!” Inuyasha sprinted to Sango and pounded on the barrier. A lone tear slid down Sango’s cheeks, and then she too was still.

Inuyasha turned slowly to Kikyou. “Fine, stop the killing and I will go with you. Just leave the others alone, I’m the one you want.”

Kikyou smirked devilishly. “Good that is what I wanted to hear. But first...” Kikyou picked up an arrow and shoved it into Kagome’s heart. Kagome gasped and began to cry. Blood crept out of the sides of her mouth. Kikyou dropped the barrier around her and walked away. “I would hurry Inuyasha before she is gone forever.” The soul-stealer that was holding Kagome flew over to Kikyou and wrapped itself loosely around her. Inuyasha was at her side in a flash.

“Kagome!! Kagome you have to stay with me. You have to stay alive!!” Inuyasha pressed her weak body against his chest and cradled her. Kagome coughed and spit up even more blood. “Inuyasha, Inuyasha I wanted to tell you that I...I...I” Inuyasha covered her lips with his finger. “Hush Kagome, it’s gonna be ok. I’m here, I’m gonna save you like I always do. Just don’t...don’t die on me. I need you here.” Kagome looked up into the hanyou’s eyes. They were full of emotion. “I...I want to say that I...” She then sighed her last breath and hunched over in Inuyasha’s lap.

Inuyasha howled a low miserable howl that any person or demon in a five mile radius could here. It was chilling and made you weak in the knees. Inuyasha’s bangs covered his eyes. Slowly but surely tears came streaking down his face. One by one they fell on the dead miko’s face and hair. Inuyasha stroked her gently and then hugged her tight.

He then looked up at the other miko who watched him curiously. Red began seeping into his eyes. Kikyou wasn’t frightened, she knew something like this was going to happen and she was prepared, but first. Kikyou lifted up both hands to the heavens and began chanting. Her body turned a bloody red and then a blinding white.

Inuyasha remained where he was and watched closely. He then looked down on the precious face that he once loved. Out of her open and gory mouth came out a white-blue orb. “No!” Inuyasha said meekly. Kikyou was taking her soul back. Inuyasha didn’t know what to do. He laid down Kagome on the ground and tried to free his remaining friends. He had already three deaths under his belt, he didn’t need three more. Inuyasha grabbed Tetsusaiga and began ramming the barrier. He just kept bouncing off and hitting either a tree or the hard ground. Inuyasha stopped for a second and was about to grab the floating soul when out of no where a soul-stealer appeared and snatched the spirit instead.

It then wrapped around Kikyou and dropped it by her head. It sluggishly was absorbed by Kikyou. It was like she was breathing it in. After about a minute the light stopped, and the remaining priestess was back to normal and alive.

“Kikyou, if you free my other friends and give Kagome her life back, then I will come with you willingly.” Inuyasha stared at the ground. Kikyou stalked around Inuyasha a few times. Then she ran towards him and embraced him. Inuyasha tensed up and kept his arms at his side.

“This way Inuyasha, and yes I will free the remaining friends you have alive and maybe give Kagome a part of my soul back.” she smirked evilly and pulled Inuyasha near the now dead campfire. The hanyou stopped abruptly. “No, it’s either all or nothing.” Kikyou sighed deeply. “Fine, but you come with me first.” Inuyasha had no room left not to trust Kikyou. “Do you swear to keep your promise?” Inuyasha glared at her.

Kikyou nodded. “Yes, I assure you that I will keep my promise just as you have kept yours.” Kikyou said a few words and drew a circle in the ground. She then stood in the middle of this awkward circle and chanted a few more words.

There was a light and then flames. Demons hands came up and grabbed Kikyou’s ankles. She smiled wickedly. “Come Inuyasha, it is time.” Inuyasha nodded his head and walked over to Kikyou. She wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled him flush up against her. Inuyasha just stood there.

They started there descend to hell.

Inuyasha watched his friends. “Kikyou stay to your promise, do it now.” Kikyou smiled at the hanyou. “No.” Kikyou whistled a high pitched whistle and the other soul-stealers killed Shippo, Kilara, and Teranchi.

“Damn you lied!! Ka-go-me!! Mir-o-ku!! San-go!!” Inuyasha’s eyes turned completely red and light purple stripes appeared on his face. His claws and fangs elongated and an ominous wind blew his long silver mane around. Kikyou was frightened but she dare not release Inuyasha or else the spell would be broken and he would be free to walk the earth while she suffered in hell alone.

That was her mistake. Inuyasha looked her dead in the eye. “Good bye Kikyou, have a nice trip.” Inuyasha dug a clawed hand into her heart and bit her neck all at once. Blood poured out of the two open wounds. Inuyasha then took his other hand and tunneled deep into Kikyou’s eyes. He gauged them out and listened to her moan in agony. Inuyasha pulled Kikyou’s heart out and dropped it onto the burning ground. He released her neck and with a bloody smile shoved her into the open arms of the damned.

He then jumped out of the flaming hole and spit it to the flames. “Damn bitch got what she deserved, and I didn’t even give a full punishment.” Inuyasha laughed and with blood dripping off the sides of his mouth he growled deep in his throat and howled. He howled until everything began to be quiet and until his demon side cooled off. He crawled to his beloved and held her. Then, he slept.

Kanna watched the entire ordeal. She sent back mental images to her lord and then for the first time in well, ever. She smiled. She smiled a horrible smile that would send anyone chills. Her smile was cold and almost pleased.

‘Finally, Kikyou is dead and the hanyou is broken.’

Kanna shifted her mirror and waited for her next orders.

Naraku watched as the hanyou ripped out the heart and eyes of Kikyou. Onigumo was in pain for the undead priestess, but Naraku was frightened. Naraku never saw anything so gruesome in his entire life, he was afraid because what if Inuyasha found out that was his basic plan. What if Inuyasha found him and did the same thing. The thought of it alone made the blood in his veins run cold.

‘Kanna, return to me, I have seen enough.’

Kanna sent a mental okay and headed toward home. Toward her master.

I had spent a good deal of running through the vast corridors of the castle. My vision was blurry due to my streaming tears and puffed cheeks. I finally was too tired to move on so I sat down sniffling in a corner and cried until I lost track of time. I was getting sick of Sesshomaru's inconsiderate mouth and this stuffy castle. Tonight, I was going to run away, run until I found my friends. Run until I couldn’t run anymore.

Then I heard it, a cry of pure agony and despair. Of misery and gloom. The sound alone made me want to weep. It was as if someone was in deep morning. All of a sudden all of my fears and anger went away. I needed to help this person, and Sesshomaru was going to help me.
