The next day, Aiko opend her eyes; Everything was blurry. 'What in all the hells?' She sat up; Her Her stomach was wrapped around with a bandage;
But, her arm was not free of any bandages (wrappings.) It was wet, and half of her blood had been cleaned away. The rest, just was left alone, to heal by themselves.

She was dressed in a green kimono. Someone obvisouly changed her into it; And that was proof it was an actualy 'person.' who did this for her.



"Ow. Damn.." She held her stomach; 'Foget this stupid pain. I gotta get outta here..' Aiko walked out of her room; Outside her room there was a fresh-fragrance; That smelled of roses, well why not? There where roses right by her room. The roses where in a white vase, upon a small podium. She took a minute to take note of the scent in where she was;

She caught Sesshoumaru's scent; Then finally rememberd her weapon. 'Shit. Where the hell..' She turned to the side, to find it hung up; She took it and headed down these castle stairs.


Her wounds where great they caused her great pain; Even being a demon, not all of the wounds where completely healed; But, wounds from the Toukijin weren't all normal. It was extra pain for her; After all, it wasn't a normal sword that didn't inflivt un-normal wounds on her.

Aiko lost her balance and fell half-way down the stairs when she felt someone catch her.


" You are in pain, wench. 'Tis not wise to try and leave here. " The cold, icy voice said; "Unless you wish to die." This voice belonged to Sesshoumaru; he held a pot of water and a cloth in one hand and caught her in the other. (Whee! He has two arms! XD.)


" Listen. I didn't ask for your help." Aiko snapped; " I would've been just fine without your help. Why did you bother saving me even? you just want me dead in the first place."


" I could care less of what you think. As a demon lord of these western lands. I am not permitted into killing demonesses. However." He paused. "I may kill you eaither way. The act; Law, between killing demoness and not killing them; Is not confirmed; But, I have not decided weather to kill you or not. " He growled at her, but his voice was still icy and cold.

' What the... he would be the only one who could actually bandage my wounds.. Intead of yelling at him, I should be thanking him.. ' Aiko reconsiderd. " Well, whatever. In all terms of thankfullness, I thank you for saving me. " She rolled her eyes;



Sesshoumaru did not reply however, but picked her up and carried her up the stairs. It was shown he did have kindness within his heart; But, Did Sesshoumaru just want to break Aiko when she was healthy, as in tortue?


Could she trust this youkai? She didn't know. If she wanted to remain amlong the living, she'd better be good to this youkai.


Sesshoumaru dabbed the cloth into the so called 'water.' and wiped most of the blood away from her wound; Aiko felt a flinching pain from that 'water.' " What is that stuff that your using to clean my arm?" Aiko asked; The water, from a good distance; Looking like regular water; But up close, it had a green-ish color.


"Toxic boyidics. Its best for cleaning and healing your wounds; It kills all bactoria that tries to enter the wound." Sesshoumaru replied.

' Still, how was she able to strike me, the first time we had engaged in battle This is not normal. She isn't some ordinary demoness. I Sesshoumaru, Will find her secret; If I cannot, I will destroy her. ' The youkai lord thought; Aiko looked away; But Aiko spoke agian. " I don't need your help." She jerked her arm away from him.


" Your lucky, I brought you back to my castle." He cool, icy voice deepend; " Without my help, you would have been dead, and your body devoured by a pack of demons. I could thrown you out of castle a long time ago. If you wish to remain here, act like demoness, such as; Acting a bit more feminine; In your case." Sesshoumaru flipped his hair back;


" Whatever." She coked her head to the side. ' Why is he so cold hearted? It seems the expression on his face never changes. Strange." Aiko looked back to sesshoumaru. " Allright. A bit more feminine you say? Well, you wouldn't be much of a gentledemon, if you didn't tell me your name; In this case, my name is Aiko."



He looked at her; " My name, isn't your business. However, are you questioning my authority.?"



" Yes I am. Your a demon lord aren't you? Your supposed to be poliet. Am I right?" She smiled smartly. " If you wish me to act more feminine, treat me like a lady."


" No one speaks to thee Sesshoumaru, that way wench!" He grabbed her arms and pinned her down. " You treat me with respect. If you do not, it will prove to be your undoing. " He was on top of her now, his claws digging into her skin, he didnt use his pousin claws.

" Ow..." She mumbled, blood dripped from her wrists; " Get off me you peeping top!" She kicked him off, but he held on and they both fell onto the ground. " I said let go of me DAMMIT!" She growled; She looked to the side. "Look, i'm sorry. I'll call you by sesshoumaru. As long as you call me by aiko. Now, get OFF!"


Sesshoumaru did, and placed her on the bed. " When your wounds heal, you are to leave here. I will not allow you to stay after.." He cleaned the wounds of her arm, gently dabbing the liquid on the blood; Cleaning it away.


" I understand." She mumbled, looking to the side. ' Hes so anxious to get rid of me..' She thought, solmenly. Even though she didn't know him too well; She felt something weird around him; He wrapped the bandages around her wrists, and cleaned the rest of the blood on her arm and left, just as fast as he came;


Aiko looked at him; She was tired, so their was a tired-like look on her face. "Thank you, Sesshoumaru." She gave him a slight smile and closed her eyes; But she did feel quite uneasy around him; Like, he could kill her at any moment; Or, a protective feeling. Like, she was going to be protected by him. She just didn't get it.


Sesshoumaru stoped walking within his strides; " Welcome, Aiko." Still cold and emotionless as ever. Just a little hint of feeling in there;

Aiko fell asleep, snugging up to the warm, silk covers; Well no kidding, they where that, that belonged to the youkai lord;

Sesshoumaru was at his office, he was tired himself, and wasn't too happy with the events. A demoness, no less; In his castle; and more documents to sign for his lands, with work never seemed to end;

Rin, walked in at that moment. " Hello Sesshoumaru-sama!" She smiled cheerfully. " Rin is board. Rin saw the lady in the castle. Could rin go talk to lady?" Rin bounced p and down.


Sesshoumaru turned to the small female child. "Allright Rin. But she is sleeping. I ask you not to wake her; Shes in the 16th guestroom." Rin knew the castle well; The rooms, along with the numbers.


" Okay Sesshoumaru-sama!" Rin skipped out of the room joyfully.

Jakken, our little annoying toad; Walked into Aiko's room, setting food on a small counter; Sesshoumaru had asked to serve Aiko as she needed. He decided to be a bit more kinder to her; Showing that she was right about his manners. The food Jakken set down, was warm tea and a bowl of rice on a tray;

Sesshoumaru finished almost the last of his documents; He was quite exausted he stepped out of his room, to the castle grounds; Into a large patch of flowers that cascated around heges (sorry dunno how to spell that! x_x) With cold, running water going down it; To the side, a few rose and daisy patches; " Seems that here, always calms me." Sesshoumaru walked threw the wonderious place he had designed to be made a few hundred years before;


Rin walked into Aiko's guestroom; " Hello lady..." Rin whisperd. "Rin has come to see you. How are you lady?"



Aiko slept only for a half an hour. " Hello little one." Aiko turned her head to Rin; A little smile. "What might your name be?" She said kindly;

" My name is Rin!" Rin smiled back. "Your a pretty lady. Whats your name?"


" Oh. Thank you. Thats sweet of you Rin. My name is Aiko. I'm only staying for a little while. If you don't mind me asking, why are you With Sesshoumaru?"



" Rin has been with Sesshoumaru-sama for a while now!" She smiled merrily. " Sesshoumaru-sama saved Rin's life, So Rin started following Sesshoumaru-sama! He isn't such a bad demon!" ^___^ Rin turned jher head from side to side. " Why are you here Aiko-chan?" Rin bonced up and down.


" Oh. I'm just here because I gotten hurt. Sesshoumaru. I guess, is just helping me recover."Aiko sat up; Scratching the back of her head.


" Oh. Rin sees. Would you like to come with Rin to go around the castle?" Rin sat up folding her palms together. "Please?" Rin begged.


" Oh allright. If it makes you happy, little Rin." Aiko sat up, supporting herself; She used her powers to surpress the pain for a short time.; "Shall we go little Rin?" She stood up and Rin took Aiko's hand. "Yeah!" They walked threw the castle; Then to a balcony. "Rin loves this view! " Rin stated running to the edge of the balcony;


" I see. It is quite beautiful Rin-san." Aiko walked to the along side of Rin. "Say, Rin. Would you like to see something cool.?" Aiko asked.


"Yeah! Thank you miss Aiko." Rin smiled; Aiko picked Rin up in her arms. "Okay. Hang on! Its going to be a hack of a ride!" Aiko jumped on the enge of the balcony and jumped off; they where 4 storys up; "Wheeeeeeeee!" Rin screamed but held onto Aiko; Aiko laughed;

They landed in a tree, Aiko lost her balance and fell on her back, but supported Rin up. "Are you okay?" Rin asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Did you have fun?" Aiko asked with a sort of forcing a smile.


"Yeah! I have! That was great! Thank you missy aiko!" Rin smiled more cheerful.


Nearby, Sesshoumaru watched them. ' Seems this demoness has brought great hapiness to rin... who is she?' Sesshoumaru thought, but ignored his thoughts.


Aiko got up and rubbed her back; "Shall we go for a walk Rin?" She smiled; She knew sesshou was there, she just wanted to see how far he would go. "hai, Rin would love ro go for a walk with you miss aiko! ^_^" aiko: "Okay then Rin-san." Rin took Aiko's hand and they to the side of the flowers.


Sesshoumaru was watching them.' she can probably sense me here.' he hopped out of his hiding place swiftly and quietly landing in the bushes. he resumed his hiding;




"Say, Rin. Does Sesshoumaru always act like.. well, cold and emotionless all the time? Towards you, I mean." Aiko looked down to Rin. "Sesshoumaru-sama doesn't act that way most of the time. He saved Rin once, Sesshoumaru-sama protects Rin and takes care of Rin. Sesshoumaru-chan is a really good guy. He just, doesn't like to show his emotions most the time. Rin thinks hes a nice demon though.." Rin skipped around


Sesshoumaru's "inner self" smiled. he watched them. stalking them the whole way to where ever they went; He was curious about this Aiko, he seemed to bring joy to Rin, in ways that Sesshoumaru haden't seen before;


"Rin knows a wonderful place! Do you wish to see, Aiko-chan?" " Sure Rin." Rin skipped over to a rose bush; Aiko following Rin all the way; "Rin loves roses!" Rin picked a rose, but the thorn poked her; Drawing blood. "Ow!" Rin sucked her inex finger, which was the one that got poked; : "You have to be careful Rin!" Aiko ran over; "Show me your finger Rin.": Rin nodded and showed her her index finger, "Here. I'll make it all better." Aiko placed her hand over Rin's and a blue Light appeared, and fixed the cut.


"Thank you Aiko-sama!" She hugged aiko ^-^



Sesshoumaru was watching (still) ' she cares for Rin. Maybe she's not so bad' he shook his head ' i can't think that! What has made this lord so soft?' he contiuned to watch them.' Tensusiga has made me softer. why did father bestow this to me?'


Aiko smiled; "Your welcome....." She handed the rose to Rin. "Here. This is your rose Rin-san." "oo..YAY! Rin will be right back; Rin must go put this rose in water." Rin skipped off back to the castle; Aiko sighed and smiled; "Okay." aiko sat down on the ground; Her powers surpressed the pain long enough. "Ow.." She held her arm; "Stupid pain..Ah well. No pain, no gain;" She ignored the pain, and she walked over to a tree; And leaned agianst it


Sesshoumaru went abck to his study. he thought about what he saw. ' now what?' he looked down. getting up he walked over to the bookshelf. he had to get his mond on toher things so he pick a book and started reading; Soon Rin returned; "Okay Aiko-chan Im back....." Rin found Aiko sleeping; 'Shes sleeping..." Rin thought; She ran back to the castle. "Sesshoumaru-sama! Sesshoumaru-sama!" She yelled threw the castle, giving jakken and the other servants headachs.


Sesshoumaru looked up from his book " Yes Rin?" Sesshoumaru questioned; Rin sighed and made a bunch of diffrent faces of drama; "Aiko feel asleep! She won't wake up!" Rin did try before to wake aiko; But she didn't stir.


Sesshoumaru put down his book down; " I hope this is not a joke, Rin." Sesshoumaru stood up; " Rin isn't lieing Sesshoumaru-sama! Aiko-chan won't wake up!" The kid bounced up and down with despair;



" Fine. I will check what is going on. Rin, you stay here..." The youkai's voice was less cold hearted toward the human girl; "Yes Sesshoumaru-sama.." Rin sat down in a chair in his room;


"Jakken!" Sesshoumaru called for his little vassle dude; "Yes master Sesshoumaru!" The little green toad youkai ran into the room with his staff of heads; " I would like you to watch Rin. If anything happends, I will kill you." Sesshoumaru walked out of the room; " Y-yes master sesshoumaru!" The little toad shrieked; Rin smiled; " Tag! Your it!" Rin ran around; " Play with rin Jakken!" Jakken sighed; " Fine Rin." He would have not done this if it haden't been for Sesshoumaru;


Sesshoumaru walked down the steps that where outside of his stony, gray castle; ' I wounder what could have happend, to this Aiko;' Soon enough he arrived to the scene; Aiko laid on the ground; Appearing to be sleeping; And just fine; Sesshoumaru shook her slightly to wake her; But no responce, she didn't stir at all;

' She must be exausted. She surpressed her own pain, just to go with Rin. This demoness, has kindness, yet could accquire such a smart atitude. Diffrent..' Sesshoumaru thought; Supporting her up; " What in the.." He felt blood on his hand that supported her;



He took that hand away from her, and supported her with the other; Their was proof, the blood was there. " No wonder.." Sesshoumaru's icy voice spoke; " She had surpressed it for so long, that when she stopped surpressing it, the blood that would've flown was held back...Even if I find this demoness to be a nusince, it would be the code of I, Sesshoumaru; To take care of her. I was swarn to go so.."



Sesshou picked her up and carried her back to the castle; Even though of the code, he wasn't too sure why, he was helping her; It wasn't the Tensusiga that did it; OR Rin. It could have been that soft spot he had within him that he never shown.

Meanwhile, the toad and the human where still playing tag; Sesshoumaru placed her on the bed and flipped her over; He found where the blood came from; He gently tore open the back of the kimono (using his claw.) and saw that their had been quite a large, and deep cut; That she surpressed and never spoke of; ' Shes a foolish, brave wench. I shall give her that.' Sesshoumaru began cleaning the wound;

A couple hours later...


Aiko awoke. She was on her back; ' I must have passed out... ' She looked to the side, and saw our lovely youkai lord, Sesshoumaru, sitting in a chair; Asleep.


Aiko looked at him strangely. ' Why...why did he save me.. agian? I thought he hated me...' She wonderd sitting up; She found that the back of her kimono was a bit torn; She blushed. ' Sesshoumaru..Sesshoumaru... he..' She blushed even darker; But smacked herself in the forehead. ' Why should I be so embarrassed?' She sighed; Anime sweatdrop.


She looked over to sesshou, ' He looks so diffrent when hes sleeping.. so peaceful... but appearences can be deciving...hes quite a jerk when hes awake..' She found herself, going by him; She looked at his face closely; ' Then agian.. looks can be deciving...' She laid her hand on his cheek, gently rubbing her hand on it; He was warm and soft; She pushed a strand of his hair, out of his face; That was soft as silk; She jerked her hand away and went back on the bed and turned over, and appeared to be sleeping.'

Sesshoumaru opend his eyes; He had actually been awake; He felt the wamth of her soft hand; ' that wench...' He didn't stop her, did he like it? For nearly the first time in his life; He had been confused; "Feh.." He mumbled.. ' How enjoyable. I seem, to be acting like my brother. ' Sesshou chuckled to himself; He was tired; But he did fall asleep agian..



Sesshoumaru had weirdly, gotten softer, and aiko, acted doffrent. She trusted him just a bit more...
