Something Has to Be Done.
A Good Idea.
After canceling all the afternoon's appointments, Sesshomaru led them back outside, past the still thoroughly pissed off receptionist. Walking out onto the busy street, they finally managed to coax Inuyasha into a black limo, Kagome telling him that if he didn't get his butt in the car she's never give him ramen again, which got him inside in a flash and a laugh out of Sesshomaru.
"Of all the things to bring my brother down I never thought it would end up being noodles. Though those things are quite addictive aren't they?" Sesshomaru asked, after telling the driver to take them home.
"You mean you like ramen?!" Inuyasha blurted, shocked, and with mouth gaping like a fish.
Though Sesshomaru said nothing, Inuyasha got his answer when he opened a small compartment to reveal at least 30 packages of instant ramen. Eyes wide, Inuyasha suddenly jumped up and tackled Sesshomaru in a hug before any of them could blink saying, "Anyone who likes ramen is ok in my books!"
"You're just sucking up to get some out of him incase I stop supplying aren't you?" Kagome asked, eyebrow raised.
"Hell yeah! Is it working?" Inuyasha asked, moving back to his seat.
"That depends." he replied, straightening his jacket.
"On what?"
"On whether or not the next time you hug me you allow me to breathe." Sesshomaru said wryly, a small smile gracing his features.
"Deal!" Inuyasha cried, sending Kagome an, 'I win!' look.
Shaking her head sadly, she leaned back in her seat and stubbornly did not fall asleep as the brothers started a debate on whether chicken or oriental flavored ramen was better. 'I think I liked it better when they tried to kill each other.' she thought, mentally preparing herself for when they decided to make her resolve the argument.

In the end the brothers had called truce, deciding that arguing for an hour and getting no where was enough. Not long after they reached, surprisingly, the same mansion as back in the feudal era, only a few wings had been added on and various remodeling plans had been carried out. The fountain still stood proudly, if a bit duller in it's color, though it was going to be painted soon to cover that.
Once inside, they climbed the large staircase in the middle of the tapestry and painting covered entrance hall, and were lead to two doors each on either side of the hall way.
"These shall be your rooms." Sesshomaru told them, " Kagome yours is on the left and in the same condition it was in when you left, if a little dusty considering you ordered no one be allowed to enter in your absence. Inuyasha yours is on the right. I hope everything is to your liking. Let one of the servants know if you are in need of anything and Kagome will tell you of the meal itinerary." Then he rushed off, to who knows where. Obviously in a hurry.
"Ok 1: Why's he in such a rush? And 2: Why do I get the feeling he's had this planned?" Inuyasha asked, crossing his arms over his chest.
Looking a bit curious herself, she replied, " Chances are he's going to check up on something and most likely he has been planning it. You'll know for sure if your room is actually perfect."
"Good point. Though you'll probably have to come in with me so that I know not to attack something that seems unnatural." he said, walking to the door.
Laughing quietly she followed him inside and they both gawked. Everything was either crimson or amber. Scanning the room quickly she discovered it was a mirror image of her own except what ever was black in her room was amber in this one
After about an hour of explaining everything in the room, Kagome finally got around to explaining the meal itinerary and how each meal was served at a specific time and if you missed it, you were screwed until the next meal came around.
When Kagome had left, Inuyashs picked up the 'clicker' and turned on the T.V. Figuring he might as well see if anything caught his eye he kept pushing the botton hat changed that channel over and over until something finally did catch his eye.
It was a man singing some kind of love song to this blonde girl and playing one of those guitar things. Hearing footsteps coming his way, Inuyasha clicked the mute button and looked to see Sesshomaru opening the door. " Got a minute?" he asked.
"Sure." Inuyasha replied nonchalantly.
Smiling lightly, Sesshomaru walked over and sat on the bed next to Inuyasha. "So what exactly has been going on between you and Kagome lately?"
"What makes you think anything has been going on?!" he asked, getting on the defensive.
"Well, for one thing during the limo ride I noticed she looked at you strangely for a few minutes, plus she doesn't seem quite as cheerful as she was when she left."
Sighing, and feeling as if he needed to talk to someone, Inuyasha flopped back on the bed and figuratively poured his heart out. After he had recalled the events of that night in the head man's home and his indecision, he sighed and closed his eyes, waiting for the verbal rant that he was hoping to receive. After all, it was better if someone yelled at you then gave you 'the look'.
"My you're in quite the predicament. Well, do you love her?" he asked.
"That's the thing! I don't know! I mean the last time I thought I loved someone I got stuck to a tree for 50 years!" Inuyasha snapped.
"Point taken, though there's no need to get snappy. Well, how do you feel about her?"
"I don't know that either. Most of the time it's just my instincts that take over." he replied dejectedly.
"Yes, you were always one to use your instincts instead of your brain. And obviously Kagome is unhappy with that fact that even though you've said you want to be her mate you still wont say what she desperately needs to hear." Sesshomaru said thoughtfully.
"So what am I supposed to do?"
"First figure out your feeling about her. Try to get them on paper if you can, I find it helps clear the mind. Then, find a way to tell her about it to make sure she hears it all and knows for certain you aren't just telling her this for the sake of it and that you mean it." Then, he got up and walked to the door. But before he stepped through it, he turned and said, "Good luck, Little Brother. I hope you succeed." Then he left.
"Great. Number one on my 'To Do' list: Figure out feelings for Kagome." he muttered to himself, rolling onto his stomach and closing his eyes, trying desperately to get the image of a certain hanyou girl out of his head.

Meanwhi le, said hanyou girl was becoming reacquainted with her wonderfully soft, beautiful, comfy, bed. "This has got to be heaven!" Kagome said to herself, rolling onto her stomach in order to further bury her face in the pillows.
While it was the same room as the one in the feudal era, the remodeling that had happened over the centuries had robbed it of some of it's grace. But that didn't mean it didn't kick ass!
Her walls were a deep red, one of her favorite colors, and any and all cloth in the room was black. The sheets, pillow cases, and draperies on her bed, the curtains, and even the carpet were all black. The bed was located in the center of the room, beside the door, against the wall, and facing the large balcony so she could wake up to the view of the majestic forest beyond the grounds.
Getting out her old CD player, Kagome turned the built in radio to a country station. Letting the calming music wash over her, Kagome sang along softly to one of her personal favorites. (This is Dress Rehearsal by Carolyn Dawn Johnson (not sure if I spelt that right...) don't own it)
" Days pass me by, Just like moments, There here and then, there gone, For good, for good, I work so hard at where I'm goin'
I wonder what I've missed,
I can't remember the last time, I picked up the phone, Just to talk, for hours, On end, Or sent a birthday card un-belated, Maybe I should... slow down,

Life doesn't wait for us, To get it right, Day after night, It just goes on, When it goes wrong it, Goes and then it's gone, So I'm gonna do my best, To make the most of it, Avoid regrets yeah, Take a breath, realize, Time is irreversible, This ain't no dress rehearsal,
I've always got a big To-Do list, Oh but there's so much more to do, To see I want to, Know that I didn't leave 'I love you's Trapped within my heart, There wont always be another day to, Say all the things you wanna say, So don't... don't wait, Wait for the perfect situation, It will never come around,
Life doesn't wait for us, To get it right, Day after night, It just goes on, When it goes wrong it, Goes and then it's gone, So I'm gonna do my best, To make the most of it, Avoid regrets yeah, Take a breath, realize, Time is irreversible, This ain't no dress rehearsal,
Yeah,
When the show is over, And they lay me down, I wanna be remembered, For the love I... spread around,

Life doesn't wait for us, To get it right, Day after night, It just goes on, When it goes wrong it, Goes and then it's gone, So I'm gonna do my best, To make the most of it, Avoid regrets yeah, Take a breath, realize, Time is irreversible, This ain't no dress rehearsal,
Hoo oo hm."
In the other room, Inuyasha grinned. 'Sesshomaru said I have to find a way to make her listen when I tell her my feelings. Since she likes music so much I'll write a song! I'll need help but it will be worth it!' With that thought in mind, Inuyasha fell into a quiet sleep, not realizing exactly how much work he'd have to put into this. Such as, leaning to play the guitar, how to actually write a song, and doing all this without Kagome finding out.
AN: Wheee! Got another chapter out! Yay! ^^ hihi. Alright and here's the part where you get a say in the story. What already existing song would be perfect for Inuyasha to sing to Kagome? I've already got an idea for one but if someone can get something better then I'll use that. E-mail me the lyrics, name, and singer of the song at k jgallant @ msn. com (minus the spaces). Later!
Chiya.
