*Inuyasha's Thoughts*

`Kagome's Thoughts`

Inuyasha and Kagome finally got over keeping their feelings for each other hidden away. Kagome had taught him not to be so afraid of revealing his emotions to those around him and the people he trusts. This is what the both of them had always wanted… or is it?

Kagome and Inuyasha cuddled the whole night through until daylight hit. Kagome got up from his clutch on her waist and walked out into the open field.

“Where are you going??” Inuyasha asked inquisitively.

“I just need to take a breather, that's all”, Kagome said.

“Well, I'll come with you” Inuyasha insisted.

“No that's okay, I'd like to just go by myself”

“What, you don't want me around?” Inuyasha nagged as he approached her.

“No that's not it! I just want some time to myself!” Kagome wailed as she stepped back from him.

“I didn't mean to make you angry, I love you Kagome, you know that. I just want to be able to be with you. You are breath taking, Kagome.”

“I need to go back to my own time for a little while Inuyasha”.

And with that, Kagome ran off to the well and jumped in, heading back to her own era. She left Inuyasha wondering why she ran off on him like that. It was like yelling at a puppy that doesn't know what it did wrong. Meanwhile back in Kagome's time, she ran past her mother and Souta straight to her room. She really needed time to think and be by herself for a while.

Kagome sat on her bed, hugging her pillow tight, leaning her chin against the pillow with her head down deep in thought.

`Things have just been going way too fast with me and Inuyasha. I love him with all my heart but there are times when I just need some space, some time for myself. I haven't been able to sort out my thoughts by myself in quite a while now. I hope Inuyasha understands and isn't angry with me. It's just… I'm scared of commitment, scared to lose him, so I back away, leaving him to think he did something wrong. `Sigh' I do love you, Inuyasha`

Back in the Feudal Era, Inuyasha sat with his back up against the well, his head leaning against the edge staring up at the cloudless blue sky.

*I don't get it. Every time I'm open with her, she backs away. Inside I'm a pretty shy guy when it comes to showing my feelings. She is the one who taught me how to unlock my emotions and to not keep them bottled up inside yet now she acts awkward around me when I do open up. It doesn't matter how long, I will wait for you Kagome. If time is what you need then that's what you'll get.*

Kagome knew it wasn't right to just leave Inuyasha in the Feudal Era like that. She ran off without warning of why she even left, leading Inuyasha into believing that it was his own fault. She adored him like no other. Kagome loved when Inuyasha said she was beautiful and that he loved her. It was just that she was scared of him leaving her forever. This paranoia never ceased in her mind, causing her to shy away from Inuyasha.

```Just hang around and you'll see
```There's no where I'd rather be

She ran back to the well-house by her shrine and went by to the Feudal Era to be alarmed by Inuyasha falling asleep next to the well. Night had come faster then she expected. He was woken up to Kagome's sweet fragrance next to him.

```If you love me, trust in me
```The way that I trust in you

Kagome leaned over and sweetly kissed his lips. He was surprised after what just happened that she kissed him.

“Kagome, I …” Inuyasha was interrupted by Kagome's index finger brought up to his lips, hushing him.

“It's not your fault I took off. I just have been afraid, afraid to get too close in fear that at some point… I might lose you”, Kagome admitted.

“Kagome, there is nothing in this world that will ever stop me from loving you. Don't even think that. And if time is what you need, then times is yours to keep for as long as you need.”

“I thought everything over, and you have shown me and assured me that your love is one that I trust. Time is no longer needed for me. I know we'll always be together.”

Her heartening smile said it all as he grasped her in his arms, pulling her into a warm embrace as they sat enjoying each other in silence as they gazed at the stars above.
