~*I'm not sober all the time
You bring me down, at least you try
Until we see this eye to eye
I don't want you
I must be running out of luck
Cause you're just not drunk enough to fuck
And now I've had it up to here
I don't want you.*~
"Mom? Dad!" Inuyasha threw his keys on the table and walked around the living room and then in to the kitchen. "Mom!" he tried again. Inuyasha took his duffle bag, full of dirty clothes, and threw it into the laundry room. 'Mom will be happy that she can still take care of me'. He reasoned to himself. He sighed and ran up to his room.
It was just how he left it, not even the bed was made. He flopped down on the twin bed and stretched out. He had glow in the dark stars on his ceiling from when he was a child. He laughed that he had never taken them off, or covered them up. His poster of the nine planets was still hanging up to, only in his closet unseen to a visitor. Most of the room was decorated with various Skateboarders pictures or female super models.
"Inuyasha?" his Mothers voice carried through the door and he smiled to himself. Despite how much he denied it, he was a mamma's boy.
"MOM!" he jumped off his bed and ran downstairs.
"Yash," before he reached her, he heard the disappointed tone, "Have you done any laundry all semester?"
"I knew it would make you happy." he stood behind her. She turned around to come face-to-face with her sons chest.
"My, you are getting even taller." she smiled and hugged her son. "Welcome home Sweetheart. I missed you."
"Feh." he hugged his mother back. "I love you Mom."
"I love you too son."
"Oh, its a Kodak moment." a calm, even voice said from behind Inuyasha. He turned around to see Sesshomaru.
"Bite me Sess." Inuyasha pulled away from his mother, "And why are you here all ready."
"Sesshomarus flight got in about nine this morning." his mother explained.
"Great." Inuyasha said, sarcasm emanating from his voice.
"I need to talk to you." Sesshomaru said pointedly. "Excuse us Mom. Come on Inuyasha."
Inuyasha followed Sesshomaru to his room. There were thoughts running through Sesshomarus head that could never be imagained. Sesshomaru carried a heavy responsibility, and killing his brother might have been the first thing on his mind. Before he could even yell at him, he had to explain everything. If he didn't . . .
Inuyasha sat on the neatly made bed, and tossed the throw pillows up and down. He always did that, he knew it made Sesshomaru angry.
"So, what did you do to Kags? She's been wicked pissy since you left. And, she took up smoking."
"I did not do anything to Kagome." Sesshomaru dismissed. "You know perfectly well why Kagome and I broke up." he then recalled what Kagome had said 'and Inuyasha doesn't even remember'. "No, I guess you do not know after all."
"Know what? You people are driving me insane with this 'don't you know' 'you know perfectly well'. It's pissing me off. And Kagome has been sick a lot lately and, well, not that I care."
"Inuyasha. That means she's rejecting you." Sesshomaru tried to explain.
"Feh. She might be mad, but I don't think she's gonna get sick over it." Inuyasha rolled his eyes.
Sesshomaru took a deep, cleansing breath, "Inuyasha, you need to talk to Kagome. I cannot tell you what you so desperately need to know. Please, just ask her what happened, then I can explain everything from there." Sesshomaru stood up to leave, "And do not break anything while you are in here." and he left.
A soft knock was heard on the bar door. So faint, Kagome wasn't sure she heard it at all. Her parents had gone out to see a movie, Kagome didn't feel up to it, so she didn't accompany them. She was reading a book in the living room, listening to "Three Days Grace" and vegging.
The knock interrupted her again and she yelled as loud as she could "We're closed till Friday!". She went back to reading. Two paragraphs later it sounded like someone had knocked down the door from knocking so hard.
Kagome closed her book delicately (having noted the page number), she walked down the stairs to the front of the bar door. "Look, we are CLOSED" she pointed to the sign "Until Fri- hi". She looked at the intruder and noticed it was Inuyasha.
"Can I help you?" she asked in a huffed tone.
"I . . . I talked to Sess." Kagomes eyes went wide, "He didn't tell me anything, he told me to ask you. I need to know though, he said its important."
Kagome looked at him for a minute, trying to see deep into his thoughts by looking through his uncharacteristically darkened eyes. She stood aside and allowed him to come in. He followed her up to the apartment and she offered him a seat in the main room.
"Would you like a drink?" she asked, as she turned off the CD player.
"No. Thanks." he looked around at the small apartment. It was cluttered, but clean. A very cute and cozy place. He actually preferred it to the empty house he lived at.
Kagome sat down on the opposite side of the couch, she didn't say anything, neither did he. A very shifty silence filled the room.
"So, what happened between you and Sess?" he asked.
"Me and Sess broke up, because I made a mistake." Kagomes voice was strong, despite the fact she was crying and screaming inside.
"What mistake?" Inuyashas head twinged a bit, but he ignored it.
"Do you remember Greggers party?" he nodded vaguely, "At the party, you were pretty wasted." he nodded again, more determined this time, "I wasn't wasted, but it happened anyway." she didn't want to just say it, that would be to easy. "Fuck." she grabbed her neck, she wasn't wearing a turtle neck today and Inuyasha could visibly see the wound on her neck.
"Holy. I think that thing is infected Kags." he moved on the couch to get closer to her, "Let me see." she moved her hand and he watched a trickle of blood slide down her neck, "It's bleeding. What happened to you?" Inuyasha didn't get his answer, because he fainted almost instantly.
Kagome was getting used to his 'episodes'. She ran to get him a glass of water and propped his head with a pillow from the couch. He woke up about twenty minutes later. "Hey tiger." she handed him the water. He drank it greedily and sat up.
"What's wrong with you? What happened between you and Sess? Why does this keep happening? And you've been sick for months. Nothing makes sense." Inuyasha held his head, not only to ebb the slight throbbing, but to somehow regain composure.
"You want to know why this keeps happening? Why Sess and I broke up? Because the fates hate us. That is why I couldn't save Souta, that is why Kikyou died, and that is why we slept together and you don't remember, and that is why Sess and I broke up and that's why this keeps happening, and that is why I l-" Kagome felt weak again. She took a deep breath and waited for some kind of a reaction. She didn't really get one, he looked puzzled for a long time and then said
"At the party. You and I?"
Kagome nodded, not trusting her voice.
"Thanks." Inuyasha stood up and turned to leave.
"Thanks?" Kagome also stood up, slightly hurt. "That is all you have to say? Thanks?"
He shrugged, "Did you like it?"
"You are such an asshole!" she pushed him toward the door, "Get out of my house!" she opened the door and practically threw him down the stairs, slamming the door violently behind him.
She collapsed against the door and cried. She wasn't sure why she was crying, she just knew that she needed an emotional release. Crying seemed like a good vent.
Inuyasha heard her sobs through the door. He debated knocking, but knew that would make her more upset. 'Why do you have to be such an asshole?' he asked himself as he walked down the stairs. 'Time to talk to Sess'.

&nb sp; Sesshomaru sat in silence, awaiting his brothers reaction. The whole story was now spilled out. Inuyasha looked deeply puzzled before speaking.
"So, let me get this straight," Sesshomaru released a heavy breath and waited for his half brother to continue. "So, Kagome is rejecting me? Even though she doesn't mean to. And I'm rejecting her, because I don't remember that night?" Sesshomaru nodded.
"This is very important though Inuyasha. If you don't accept each other, then . . . Kagome will die."
"Sess, I know that her and I are having a spat but die? That's a little harsh. You don't think she's suicidal do you?"
"LISTEN TO ME FOR TWO SECONDS HALF-BREED!" Sesshomaru coughed slightly and lowered his voice, "Kagome is now your mate. Like it or not. If you don't emotionally and physically accept her, nor she to you, than she will die. I'm not playing around. You did not fully understand mating and you went and did it anyway."
"I did not! Well, maybe I did. I don't know."
"There is one more detail. You can't tell her. She has to accept you without being forced to."
"So, not only do I have to fall in love with the wench, but she has to love me back?" Sesshomaru nodded. "Great." Inuyasha said sarcastically.
"I just want to know why you would do it. Even in a drunk stupor, you must have had some motive. Either you truly did like her, or you had another reason."
"Ya know Sess. To be honest, and this sounds mean, but I think, it was because I was jealous of you. You always had everything. Smarts, I guess looks, girls flocked to you. I was jealous. I bet that's why I did it."
"That is pathetic." Sesshomaru declared.
"Thanks." Inuyasha rolled his eyes.
"Really. Girls love you. You aren't that stupid, and, for a half-breed, you aren't terribly horrible to look at."
"Again. Thanks." Inuyasha stood up. "Time to save my mate then?" he laughed to himself. "Mate."
Sesshomaru watched his brother leave the room. Inuyashas words running through his head 'I was jealous. I bet that's why I did it'. 'You better accept her mutt. I don't want her to die.'
"Kagome!" Inuyasha threw another rock at her window. "Kagome! Hey Wench!"
A figure came to the window and slowly opened it. Auburn hair framed the girl and as she pulled it behind her head Inuyasha went white. "Can I help you young man?" a women in her late forties, early fifties, glared at him.
"Sorry. I thought that was Kags window. Is she awake?"
"I am not sure." she made no attempt to check, but as Inuyasha stared helplessly at her she sighed, "Hold on." Mai left the window and walked to her daughters room.
"Kagome dear?" she knocked lightly.
"Yeah?" she asked, not opening the door.
"A boy is here to see you."
"Who?"
"I am not sure, but he hollered three times for Kagome and once for 'wench'."
"Inuyasha." Kagome growled inwardly. "Thanks Mom. Tell him I'm on my way down."
"Okay."
"What do you want Inuyasha." Kagome stepped out of the bar and stood in front of Inuyasha with her arms crossing her chest.
"I just wanted to talk to you. I need to apologize for the way our conversation went yesterday." Kagome quirked her eyebrow at him, "Really. I should have been more sensitive about the situation. I apologize." He smiled pleasantly at her.
"Fine. Now could you leave?" Kagome turned to go back inside.
"Please, Kags. Lets talk." Inuyasha made to grab for her arm but didn't make contact.
"Talk? Why do you want to talk? We did talk. You apologized, I accepted. You know what happened. Life is dandy." she didn't turn around at all during her speech.
"Please Kagome." he gently touched her shoulder, turning her around slowly, "Please."
Kagome nearly melted into his eyes. They were troubled, yet they still sparkled with a tremendous light. She found her breath coming in short, almost, gasps. Her hand went automatically to her heart, trying to calm its rapid beating. She nodded slightly.
"Let me get my coat." he let go of her and the spell she was under seemed to break. She turned around and ran up to the apartment to fetch said coat.
"So what did you want to talk about?" She questioned as she sat down next to him on the swing set.
"Nothing in particular." he shrugged and looked around the park.
The trees were void of leaves, and the light snow that covered the stark branches seemed mystical. Inuyasha started swinging back and forth, the sound of the creaking swing set adding an eerie quality to the still night.
"So, we came all the way out here to swing? And not talk?" Kagome also began swinging.
"I guess." he chuckled slightly. His voice held none of its usual sarcasm and he seemed almost nostalgic. "Know what's funny? This is where you told me you saved my life."
"Yeah. It is." a slight blush tinted Kagomes cheeks, she hoped he would think it was the cold.
"I never really said it did I?"
"Said what?" Kagome looked over at Inuyasha. He looked out at the trees, never looking at her, but he was smiling.
"Thank you. For saving me. I'm glad I had a chance to live." he looked over at her, for a second Kagome saw something in him she had never seen before. She let out a small gasp and he quirked his mouth into a grin. "Bet I can swing higher than you." he laughed to himself and began pumping his legs, swinging nearly over the bar.
Kagome shook off the romantic moment and opted to join him in the silly one. "Nu uh!" she too began pumping her legs, only she didn't have demonic strength and it took her a while to get as high as he was.
"Lets jump!" he yelled with excitement. "Hold my hand." Kagome put her arm in front of the chain and grabbed Inuyashas outstretched hand. "Ready?" she nodded. "One . . . Two . . . Three!" Kagome tried to jump but ended up doing more of a spread eagle toward the upcoming ground. Inuyasha landed, catching her in his arms. He panted slightly, laughing to himself, "That was fun." Kagome was latched on to his neck nearly glaring at him.
"Sure." she said sarcastically as he set her down, but didn't let go.
They simply stared. Neither looking for answers, neither trying to see deeper into the others soul. They just gazed at each other. Inuyasha leaned down to her, brushing his lips against hers slowly. Kagome put her hands around his neck again, edging him toward her. Their lips crashed together, Inuyasha begged entry and she silently accepted. Kagome felt her knees weaken and herself being lowered to the ground, Inuyasha leaned over her gently. Kagome opened her eyes and realized what was happening. Inuyasha kissed along her neck, and the feelings it evoked were orgasmic in themselves. She quickly pushed him away and crawled away from him.
"What's wrong?" he asked, obviously confused.
"No." she stated.
"No?"
"Exactly. No. This isn't how it's going to be."
"Wow. Calm down, and explain yourself, cause you lost me."
"I am not going to be here for you to fuck whenever you feel like it! I am not like that! It was a mistake Inuyasha! A mistake! An accident, a mishap. Whatever! It's not going to happen again! Just, leave me alone. Please." Kagome stood up and began running home.
"KAGOME! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! LISTEN TO ME! KAGOME!" he didn't bother chasing her, she wouldn't listen now anyway.

& nbsp; ~* It took so long to see
You walked away from me
When I need you
Wake up, I'm pounding on the door
I'm not, the man I was before
Where the Hell are you
When I need you?
Wake up I'm pounding on the door
I wont hurt you anymore
Where the Hell are you
When I need you? *~
AN: The song was "Wake Up" by Three Days Grace. I liked how that song seemed to work perfectly with the situation and the chapter! YAY. I've been forgetting my disclaimer huh? Well
DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN INUYASHA. IF I DID OWN THE LITTLE DEVIL DO YOU THINK I'D BE WRITING CREEPY FANFICS ABOUT HIM ;) (Nor do I own Three Days Grace - though I wish I owned Brad hehe - all places are fictional - I know I made them up - though if they are similar or familiar its because I used my area of living to describe them! Oh, and when I do steal something I tell you! >.<)
Yay. So chapter nine. Having fun? I think the next two or three chapters will end are going to end it. I'm running out of ways to torture Kagome Chan and Sesshy Sama (in my opinion Inu isn't tortured because he got to have sex with her. That should tide him over for a few chapters ^_^) *sigh* OH! And are you liking the new fic (Trust)? I know the chapters are short, but *shrug* sorry. I'll be posting another fic one when this fic is done so you'll have twice as much to read. (If they interest you) who reads these anyway? I bet I could say the stupidest thing and no one would notice. wanna bet? Okay, my dog is fourteen. She likes cats. Not really. She has four legs, and fur, she does this trick where I hold a treat in one hand but put both hands in front of her and she has to pick the correct hand. She is really good at it. She is deaf. I've had her for fourteen years. I love her! so did anyone read it? hahaha. Okay. I was just messing around with you though, I know people read these (all that was true though about my puppy!). okay. love you guys!

"This is very important though Inuyasha. If you don't accept each other, then . . . Kagome will die."
