I should have listened to that voice inside of me

Kagome sighed, turning up the volume on her walkman to block out the sound of the hanyou coming to find her. She had walked upon him and Kikyo together kissing again and after a few `osuwaris' she had run off.

I must be stupid

Must be crazy

Must be out of my mind

To say the kind of things I said last night.

Inu-Yasha came into her view and he sat down beside her looking at the ground. “Kagome?” She didn't answer, pretending that she couldn't hear him over the music. “Kagome I know you can hear me…” Kagome paused the walkman before turning to him “What? Are you going to say that you're sorry? You don't care, you never care!” Kagome shouted before getting up and heading towards the well

Mirror mirror I wish that you could lie to me

And bring my baby back

She had accidentally bumped the play button and listened to the song while going through the time slip `how can I be so stupid, I thought he cared about me!' tears like diamonds escaped her eyes. Landing on the other side she climbed the ladder and started running, knowing that Inu-Yasha wouldn't be far behind. In her hurry she dropped everything. Inu-Yasha appeared on her side of the well and jumped out. He found the pile of things and looked at the funny machine emitting music.

Why did I let you walk away?
When all I had to do was say I'm sorry
I let my pride get in the way
And in the heat of the moment I was to blame

He winced at what the words said `Kagome…' he found her scent and headed after her, hurrying when he sensed that she was heading into the city `I can't follow scents there damn!'

I must be stupid

Now in the cold light of the day I realize

Inu-Yasha growled looking at the thing in his hand “Shut up will you? I get it!”

Inu-Yasha slid to a halt, he had lost Kagome's scent and realized that he didn't have a disguise and people were staring with wide eyes. Growling, he pushed through the crowd trying to find her.

If only wishes could be dreams
And all my dreams could come true
There would be two of us standing here in front of you
If you could show me that someone that I used to be
Bring back my baby to me

`Kagome…come back' Finding no traces, he went back to the shrine and waited in her room. He sat doggie style on the floor looking around, basking in her scent. It was getting late and still no sign of Kagome, tired Inu-Yasha laid down on her bed promising him self just to rest, that he wouldn't fall asleep.

~ Kagome's POV~

Kagome saw that Inu-Yasha was close behind her and that he forgot his baseball cap. She sped up and hopped on the first bus she could find putting a coin in. She moved to the back of the bus and watched Inu-Yasha as the bus pulled away. He stopped where she got on the bus and looked around confused, calling her name. She bit her lip, trying to force the tears back but to no avail. She rode the bus until the next stop and got off to walk home knowing that Inu-Yasha would be there making her go slower `What does Kikyohave that I don't?' Finally reaching home, she went to her room surprised to find a sleeping hanyou. `He looks so peaceful' Kagome walked over and poked him hard in the ribs waking him up “Oi! What did you do that for wench?” She just gave him a glare that was more frightening than any youkai he faced before. Inu-Yasha sheepishly held out the smashed walkman mumbling “couldn't get the damn thing to shut up” If he thought she was angry before, she was furious and if looks could kill… “My father gave me that before he died…Get out.” Inu-Yasha stood up “Keh, make me” “Osuwari!” slamming to the floor he muttered something “what was that? Couldn't hear you?” “I said fuckin' wench” “OSUWARI!” Kagome gasped and pulled out the completed Shikon no Tama it was pulsing, almost fully white. Inu-Yasha took the opportunity to stand up, not noticing the jewel. “I just came to say that I'm staying with Kikyo after all, she doesn't use `it' anytime I do something that displeases her” he regretted the words as soon as they were out of his mouth. They had cut through Kagome like a dagger. “I wish you'd just go away and leave me alone…” she muttered. The Shikon Jewel glowed white before bursting into millions of particles of dust. Kagome watched in fear as Inu-Yasha faded away “NO!”

I didn't really like this one, how it turned out, wasn't like what I expected…maybe I'll redo it later. ^^ this is kind of a `side job' for me; I can't guarantee updates on a regular basis. If you have a song that you'd like turned into a fanfic (and I know the song lol) then I'll include it in a chapter. R&R!
