Chapter 2 Rin

 

(In the hot springs) Rin and the maid were splashing each other… Rin noticed that the maid had a mark of the crescent moon on the right side of her neck. “Hey that is the same make Lord Sesshomaru has on his fore head!” Rin Exclaimed. The maid looked at Rin with a surprised look on her face, “you haven't received the mark yet?” the maid stated. Rin looked at the maid surprised, “nope, but how'd you get it?” The maid looked back at Rin with a normal face “everyone in this castle has this mark you can only get the mark if you are part of the Western Family.”

Rin looked at the maid confused then asked “ so are you his sister?” the maid laughed then noticed the little munchkin was being serious, then the maid said “you either have the mark if you have been brought in, or adopted, Or if you were born into the family. Unless there is a very good explanation why you don't have the mark then you are not permitted to enter this palace.” Rin quickly added “so will I get the mark soon?” The maid said “Yes just wait it will come… in time.” Then the maid added “but we must get out of this Hot spring, we are clean.” Rin nodded then they exited the hot springs together. After the maid brought Rin some clean cloths and Rin changed into the, they went in a big room it had all kinds of toys. There was also a big balcony that went from one wall to the other. Rin ran out to the balcony and hung over the stone railing “what room is this?” Rin said loudly to the maid. She replied “this will be your room.” Rin jumped “cool this room is so big!” then the maid added “well I have work to do if you need anything just find a maid in the halls.” Rin nodded “ok thank you for helping me, by the way what is your name?” The maid replied “my name is Misuki” Rin then said “well thank you Misuki for everything… friends?” Misuki smiled “friends.” Rin bowed, Misuki also bowed then left shutting the door behind her. After about 30 minutes of combing her hair Rin decided that it wouldn't be such a bad idea to go exploring. As Rin opened her door she noticed there was a guard at every corner. She quickly pulled her head back in and shut her door knowing she had been seen. Rin thinking (oh no am I in trouble, what if they tell Sesshomaru that I tried to sneak out?) one of the guards decided to make sure Rin was alright as soon as he knocked on the door Rin thought he was going to take her to Sesshomaru she thought quickly. She grabbed a rope she had ran across earlier tied it to the balcony and climbed down as fast as she could. She noticed the guard break her door in as soon as she heard that she got scared and started running. Rin had no idea where she was running she just knew that she couldn't let that guard catch her. As she was running she saw the wall she didn't know what to do out of fright she ran along the wall until she found the gate that went around the palace, she knew the gaurs there would protect her. She ran out the gates thinking the guards would stop him she kept running but as she was looking back, and running backward she noticed all the guards were trying to get her seeing that she turned still running. By the time Rin turned around she noticed she was 1 foot from the river she couldn't stop… in the water she was kicking and screaming she felt the rumbling getting closer and closer. Next thing she saw was air as she was falling from the water fall, she fainted in mid-air… When she came to be she noticed that she was in a small cottage, she stood up coughing then walking to the door way. When she pulled the sheet out of her way she saw she was in a small village, she could hear a river she shivered at the sound. A young woman in weird clothing walked up to Rin saying “hello there are you ok, we found you in the river so we brought you to this village. My name is Kagome what is your name?” Then as soon as Kagome finished talking Rin buried her face in Kagome's chest crying. Kagome put her hand on the back of Rin's head “it is ok I am here I wont let anything hurt you.” Kagome said in a clam motherly voice. Rin soon after that fell back asleep.
