Kyoko didn't know where to go. Should she go to her house or to her friends' graves? She decided to go with her second choice.

She carried Kirara in her arms since the cat demon was too weak to walk. Also while she was walking, she was thinking about her brother. Kyoko was upset and all, even though she didn't immediately show it after she killed him. It was shock that she managed to do at what she did.

`I am ready to go home; I am ready to live a normal life finally. I am ready to be thirty again,' she thought.

Kyoko arrived at Shippo's grave. She somehow felt a pull to that certain grave.

Sitting on the ground was the apparition of Shippo himself. Kyoko started to feel tears burning in her eyes.

With an outstretched hand, he said, “Are you ready to go home?”

Kyoko nodded and blast of light surrounded them.

When she opened her eyes, she was in the same place, only twelve years older. She was thirty again. Everything looked the same, but felt different. Maybe that is so because of what she did twelve years earlier.

Kyoko felt a movement and realized that Kirara woke up from her nap. She smiled. At least she has a friend that was from the past. She chuckled when she realized something, Kirara, the survivor of three battles.

“Well Kirara, welcome to my time,” she said and started to walk to the exit of the park.

She walked down the streets of Tokyo with computerized cars whizzing by. Kyoko looked down to see Kirara looking amazed on how little it changed from twelve years ago.

They arrived at her apartment and they walked into her room. Kirara jumped from her arms and went to Kyoko's bedroom. Kyoko followed her and stopped frozen at her door.

Shippo was there, sitting on her bed. He was transparent, so she looked right through him. Kyoko just wanted to run to him and hold him. But if she did that, she would fall right through him. She wanted to taste him, to feel him. But she would taste nothing, and feel nothing. She would not have any of the senses from him.

“Welcome home Kyoko,” he said.

Kyoko didn't reply.

A few moments passed when she finally said, “Is there another mission for me? Do I have to go back to the Feudal Era to kill another demon or evil spirit that wants to take over the world?”

Shippo just looked at her. “No, there aren't anymore missions for you. You defeated the only evil that threatened the world.”

Kyoko snorted. “Oh yes. I had to murder my brother, my only relative that was alive. Thank you oh so much for making me alone in the world.”

The fox demon looked at her blankly. “But you have Kirara with you. She is the best companion you can ever have.”

The girl glared at him. “But I don't have you!”

There was small silence after that. Neither one knew what to say.

“You don't need me to be your companion. There are men out there that I am sure that can be with you. They can hold you, feel you, and taste you. I can't do that cause I am dead. I died for you Kyoko so you can live,” said Shippo.

Tears threatened her eyes again and she couldn't stop them when they escaped down her face.

“But I want you Shippo! I need you with me! I don't want another man; I refuse to. I will keep it to that until I die. And when that will happen, I will finally be with you,” Kyoko told him.

Shippo sighed. She was sure a stubborn woman. He knew that whatever he says would mean nothing to her. He stood up and walked towards her so they would be face to face.

“Fine then, if that is what you wish. I will be looking out for you and don't try anything foolish, got that?” he said.

Kyoko smiled and nodded her head. Then, he was gone and she was alone in the room with Kirara on her bed.

“It won't be too long until I see you again and we will have an eternity together Shippo,” she whispered and closed the door to take a nap.

In her dreams that night was full of happiness. She was in Shippo's arms and they were dancing in the clouds with her former life's friends surrounding them. All were happy, all was well.
