In the morning, Kyoko woke up and stretched. She could smell eggs and bacon form the kitchen. Her mouth started to water. She jumped off of bed and ran sown the stairs. She opened the door and saw the family sitting around the table.

 

“Good morning Kyoko. Did you sleep well?” asked Souta. Kyoko nodded. He motioned her to sit down next to her. Kyoko gladly accepted and sat next to him. Yumi then started to serve breakfast. Kyoko said thank you and then started to eat the food in front of her very quickly. Everyone around the table just looked at her in awe. Sure they have seen people eat food very fast, like InuYasha. But, Kyoko could break the record.

 

“Uh, would you like more?” offered Yumi. Kyoko sighed back into the chair and replied, “No thank you. It was very good.” Yumi chuckled and started to eat her food.

 

When they were finished, Yumi told Kyoko that a friend of hers will be over in a few minutes and that she would like her to stay. Kyoko was puzzled in what she meant and she wouldn't mind to stay a little longer.

 

“Who's coming over?” she asked. Yumi just smiled and replied, “Oh, a friend of mine that I met several years ago. I called him early this morning. I think he's bringing a few of his friends with him. I know them, too. I think you'll like them.”

 

Kyoko raised her eyebrows, but didn't ask any more questions. But, deep inside, she had a feeling that she knew what her past life's mother was talking about.

 

Those few minutes were coming along too slow to Kyoko. Yumi was laughing at her impatience. When the doorbell rang, Kyoko's heart started to speed up.

 

Yumi walked to the door and opened it. Before her stood InuYasha, Sango, Miroku, and Shippo.

 

“Hello Ms. Higurashi. You said that you wanted to see us?” asked InuYasha. Yumi nodded her head and ushered them in. “Yes, I would like you to meet someone. I think you would recognize her,” said Yumi. She went into the kitchen and led the reincarnation into the living room.

 

“Everyone, I would like you to meet Kyoko Miyoshi,” Yumi presented. Everyone looked at the girl. Their expressions were blank. Sango stood up and walked slowly to the girl with one hand stretched out to the girl's face. Sango slid her hand over the Kyoko's left cheek. `Could it be? Could it really be Kagome reincarnated?' she thought.

 

In Kyoko's mind, Kagome took over. “Hello Sango, yes, its me. Kagome,” the voice of Kagome said. Everyone's eyes widened, even Yumi. Kagome's voice came out of Kyoko's mouth!

 

“Yes, I have been reincarnated into Kyoko,” said Kagome. Then, her eyes fell upon InuYasha and she smiled. She walked towards him and said, “It's been a long time, hasn't it?” InuYasha looked at the figure before him and choked out, “Kagome.”

 

Kagome's mind took over Kyoko's whole body and soul. Kagome caressed InuYasha's cheek and kissed him. “I'm sorry what I did to you, to us. I was dumb and naïve. Do you forgive me?” Kagome asked. A tear fell from InuYasha's eyes. He looked at her and hugged her, “Of course I do. I'll always forgive you.” Everyone sighed. It was a Kodak moment at the time.

 

Miroku, since he was the only one who had spiritual powers, could feel a strong power taking over Kyoko's body. He could feel Kyoko, trying to fight it, fighting to take back her body. `What the hell is going on here?' he asked in his head.

 

Kagome pulled back and looked at the kitsune whim she “adopted.” He had grown so handsome and she knew deep down, well. “Hello Shippo,” said Kagome. Shippo looked at her and replied, “Hello Kagome. Long time, no see, literally.” There was some bitterness at the last word. Kagome flinched. She supposes she deserved it. She left him all alone in the world. He depended on her.

 

`It's not that I hate you Kagome. It's just that, I could sense that you're not yourself,' Shippo thought.

 

Sango smacked the back of Shippo's head. She couldn't believe that Shippo said such a rude thing to Kagome. Then, she gave him a death glare. Shippo sighed, “I'm sorry.” Kagome weakly smiled and nodded her head.

Inside her mind, Kyoko was battling with a spirit that took over her mind and body. “Give me back my body!” she screamed. Kagome looked at her reincarnation nad laughed, “Soon, my dear, soon.”
