It was near seven o'clock when she arrived at the park. She could feel tingles going down her spine. She was wearing her leather jacket, gloves, scarf, ring, bracelet, and necklace. She could see InuYasha sitting on the bench by the big sakura tree. He looked different to Kyoko. He didn't seem the way she remembered him.

 

As she neared him, she started to feel colder and colder. She could feel evil radiating in waves from him. She got scared, very scared.

 

“Inu, InuYasha. I'm here,” announced Kyoko. InuYasha turned around. What she saw made her gasp. It was exactly like her dream. He had red eyes and a purple stripe on each cheek.

 

“I have a gift for you,” he rasped out. She stood still. “And what would that be?” she asked. He answered with a toothy grin, “Your death!”

Miroku, Sango, and Shippo were eating at the coffee shop when Miroku dropped his coffee cup onto the table. His eyes were wide and his mouth was wide open.

 

“Miroku, what's wrong?” asked his wife with concern.

 

“It's Kyoko, she's in the park. She's with InuYasha. He's in his youkai form. He's, he's going to kill her,” her husband admitted.

 

“Let's get going then!” yelled Shippo. They ran outside and got into Miroku and Sango's truck. Miroku started the truck and they raced towards the park. Hopefully, they thought, they won't be too late.

She was about to walk away when she felt a hand around her wrist. She turned away and his eyes were looking down into her eyes. His eyes were blazing red and Kyoko was terrified.

 

His sharp claws pierced into her skin and it started to bleed. “InuYasha, what's wrong?” whimpered Kyoko. InuYasha just growled in response.

 

Just like in her nightmare he said, “Kagome, give me Kagome. Mate…mate…die wench!”

 

Kyoko screamed and twisted herself out of InuYasha's grasp. She started to run as fast as her legs could take. She ignored the burn in her lungs and the ache in her legs. She wanted to live. She wanted to see the next day, not die in the park by a youkai.

She couldn't believe that her nightmare was coming true. It was the last thing she was expecting.

 

As she was expecting, she heard Kagome talking to her.

 

~You will not live long. You will die and I will live again! This is the true nature of my lover.~

~~No, that's not true. You did something to him you bitch!~~

 

All of a sudden, she ran into something hard. When she looked up, she saw Miroku. Next to him was Sango and next to her was Shippo. Sango was holding her boomerang and looked at Shippo. She knew what she was going to say.

 

“Shippo, take Kyoko somewhere far away from here,” she ordered. Shippo nodded and grabbed Kyoko by the waist and hoisted her on his back.

 

She dared to look behind her. She saw Miroku and Sango fighting the youkai. She closed her eyes, begging not to have them tear up. Kyoko knew that they were going to die.

 

When Shippo stopped, Kyoko jumped off. She looked around; it looked like a shack. She vividly remembered this in her dream. She needn't bother to ask Shippo what was going on, for she what it was going on.

 

“They are dead and so will you. I dreamt about it. It's a nightmare that came true,” whispered Kyoko. Shippo looked at her in a confusing kind of way.

 

“What do you mean you dreamt about it?” asked Shippo. Kyoko looked at his face, “A few days ago, I dreamt about this. I guess it was a premonition or something.”

 

“Then why didn't you come to us? Why did you come here?” he asked, a little angrily. Kyoko looked away and said, “I don't know. I guess, I guess that I should. It probably would have come true sometime, right? Maybe I had it because it was suppose to happen.”

 

She turned around and looked into his eyes. She never realized that he had such beautiful green eyes. She leaned forward and kissed him. When they pulled away for air, they hugged. “I love you,” they both said at once.

 

Then, they heard a growl. She knew who it was. Kyoko looked at Shippo and ran. She didn't dare look back cause she would see Miroku and Sango's dead bodies. Plus, she didn't want to see the fearsome red eyes. She didn't want to see how Shippo would die.

 

She ran; she ran harder than ever before. She ran for her life, she ran for her friends. But she knew, sooner or later, that he would catch up to her.

 

Truth enough, he did. Kyoko knew that he was close behind her. She could feel the evil radiating off of him.

 

~So close, why don't you stop running? He's going to catch you soon enough.~

 

Kyoko chose to ignore her, even though she was telling the truth. She bumped into something hard and cold.

 

Kyoko was breathing hard. She was about to cry.

 

“Kagome…mate…kill!”

 

~No need to run; he will get you and kill you and I will fill this body.~

 

Kyoko turned around to run, but InuYasha was again in front of her. He raised his hand, claws sharp and he…
