InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Sorceress's Song ❯ Uuuuh... Chapter 1?... ( Chapter 1 )
Chapter 1
Kagome was climbing up the ladder of the well. She once again got into an argument with Doggy-boy, and once again had to sit him. Why couldn't understand that she had a life outside jewel shards, and demons. A life outside of the feudal era, outside of him. "Can't he understand?" the young miko sighed. When she reached the door, and opened it she was greeted by a purring Buyo, rubbing his chubby little body between her legs. "hey Buyo. MOM! I'm Home!" "hello dear!" her mother called from the kitchen. She walked to the sound of her mothers voice and found the woman chopping vegetables for dinner. "Honey, could you clean up? Some one is coming to our house." "Why?" "We're going to be a foster family for a 13-year-old girl. I want you to look nice." "Okay." The teenager went to her room and looked around. Everything was where it was supposed to be. `I hope mom's not going to give my room to her.' She thought. `Wait! How are we going to explain the whole travel through time thing? And how am I going to explain this to Inu Yasha? He'll be able to smell a new person in the house and might go crazy.' As she contemplated these things to herself the doorbell rang. She was so anxious she almost ran down the stairs. She saw a short girl with dark brown hair. Her eyes were almost the same color as Inu Yasha's only browner. She wore a pair of baggy black pants, and a plain white shirt that was a few sizes to large. Her hair that went just past her shoulders was tied in a loose ponytail. Tears silently fell from her eyes. "Hello there dear," her mother said warmly, "I am Sora Higarashi. This is my son Souta, and my daughter Kagome." "I'm Libby Brickman." The girl spoke. "Thank you Mrs. Higarashi. I can't say I'm happy about this… arrangement." "I know. Kagome, can you take her to her room?" "Sure Okaa-san."
Libby followed Kagome to her new room. She could feel a power coming from the older girl. A very strong miko power, but it didn't feel very used. The room was a little larger than her old one, with regular furniture. "Thank you, Kagome-san." Kagome left the room. Libby plopped on the bed and started to add sobs to her tears. Libby continued to cry even if she wished to stop. She thought crying was a weakness, and she hated to be weak. But I think the real reason is because she only cried when she felt true sadness. Even when her grandfather died she did not cry. The only other time she did cry was when her father died. `Maybe doing some magic will make me feel better.' She mused she closed the door, locked it, and opened her book of spells.
Kagome now walked down the hall to her room. `It didn't look like she had a lot of stuff. Guess we can take her shopping.' Kagome thought as she entered her room. `Then we can get to know each other better.'
(A/N: I gotta question. Wat'za Mary Sue? Cuz I dunno. I'm guessing it's when the author puts themselves in the story, but I may be wrong. Tell me pweeze. Also, this is one of my more serious fics and I'm not exactly the sanest person around so there could be some randomness. If so just laugh at it, and if you don't I shall banish you to the depths of hell were not even Satan goes. Kay ^_^? Later Chumpoidz. I love Futurerama! Lela Rockz!)
