Summary: AU She came as the girl with a big passion for revenge, she deceived anyone who stood on her way to success, she fell in love with the man who was the major obstacles. He was a man who was in charge of everything, he deceived anyone who he didn't like, he fell in love with a girl he shouldn't. A world where betrayal, lust, love, heartbreak, secrets, power, gangs, sex, drugs, money, alter egos, death and life rules.

 

A/N: Changed the summary a little bit ^_^;; heh. Any~way, sorry for not updating soon, but believe it or not I had this chapter written almost two weeks ago, but didn't have any time to edit it. So if you are reading this A/N you'll know that I'm looking for a beta reader, if anyone volunteers and is good with words, writing, grammar etcetera.....please e-mail me or send me a review saying you volunteer. In this chapter we have lots of flash backs, (boring, you could say this is a filer chapter, boring...) especially Sango's flash backs. We will learn more about Sango and why is she such an ice queen and we will also learn a little bit more about Kagome's past. Three words to describe this chapter: Drama, drama, drama... or is this actually one world? Anyway on with the chapter III of SOUL DEVOTION!!! Enjoy!!

 

SOUL DEVOTION

 

Chapter III

 

''Kagome! Go tell your father that dinner is ready!''

 

''Kay! Mommy!'' Yelled a little girl. She was in her room playing with her toys. She looked about 10 years old and her raven hair was pulled in two pig tails. In her hand she had a white bunny which was almost as big as her. As she walked down the hall, toward her father's study room, she stopped every now and then and looked at the pictures on the wall.

 

There were many family pictures. Her two older brothers, her mother, her dad, her grandfather and she herself.

 

She came to her father's door and knocked. No one answered. So she took that as an ''come in'' and entered the room.

 

''Daddy, mommy says that dinner is..''But she never was able to continue. She was speechless. She just looked at the figure in shook.

 

There was her father hanging and of him dripped blood. 'DIP' 'DIP' It was forming a puddle underneath him. The sight wasn't very pretty for a young girl like her or anyone for that matter.

 

''Kagome, dad! Mom says...Kagome? Ka-chan? What's wrong?'' A young man with black hair pulled in to a braid entered the room, and seeing his younger sister as if she was hypnotized, sent shivers down his spine and a worry attack. He kneeled down to her high and shook her a little, bringing her attention to him.

 

''Kagome?''

''Nii-san'' She looked at him than back to the hanging body of her father. She pointed at the figure and her brother followed the finger. ''Daddy.'' She whispered still looking at her dead father.

 

When her brother saw his fathers life less body hanging in the air, he gasped and then quickly call out to his mother.

 

''Fuck! Mom! Call the police and an ambulance. Quick!'' He yelled while grabbing Kagome and crushing her in to his arms, embracing her. Just then Mrs. Higurashi or Aya came in.

 

''Bankotsu, honey what's wrong? Oh my god! KOJI!''

 

''MOTHER! Hurry and go call an ambulance and the police!''

 

''OK...'' she chocked out and then in a hurry left the room.

 

Bankotsu looked at his little sister who ripped out from his embrace. ''Kagome...wha?''

 

''Daddy!'' She ran to her father stepping in to the puddle of blood trying to reach for her father...

 

SOUL DEVOTION

 

''DADDY!'' Kagome shot up from her bed. Her hand out stretched like she was trying to reach some thing. She patted very hard and she was all sweaty.

 

The lights turned on and in came a young man. He wore one of his boxer shorts and a dark blue shirt.

 

''Kagome? Is every thing okay?''

 

She gave him a sad smile before answering. ''Yes just another nightmare. Nothing to worry about Nii-Chan.'' He slowly made his way to her bed and sat down on the edge of it.

 

''Wan't me to tuck you in? You know for the sake of the old times?'' He asked her giving her a breath taking smile. She merely nodded. He reached for the covers and tucked her in, then he gave her a small kiss on her forehead.

 

When he was about to leave she called him back. ''Ano..Nii-chan could you sleep with me tonight?'' He looked at her like he was thinking over, but he already know what his choice was.

 

''I don't know Kagome...-''

 

''-ONEGAI!''

 

''Ok, just don't look at me like that.'' With that he went to her. ''Now, please scoot over and give me some room. Ya' know we are not little anymore.'' She did as he said. He laid down and hugged her to himself in a brother sister hug.

 

''I missed you very much Kagome. It was just not the same without you. I'm happy you are back home.''

 

''Me to. I'm very happy that I'm home again, but at the same time I'm very sad. Because this place brings back many painful memories. About dad and about Bankotsu. You know what I mean...''

 

''Yeah. I know. Now go to sleep. Tomorrow is school and if I hear right, Ayame is picking you up. And you know Ayame is an early Peugeot. Now, good night Kagome.'' He said as he ran his fingers threw her shiny black hair.

 

''Yeah. Good night Souta. Love you...''

 

''Love you to Ka-Chan.''

 

SOUL DEVOTION

 

''So..are you two going to Kazzana's party this Friday?'' Asked Rin as she, Kagome and Ayame made there way to the cafeteria. First hours of class flew away pretty fast, so now was time for lunch.

 

''Maybe. I must ask my father and mother. Why? Are you going?'' Answered Ayame.

 

''I think I might go. Mom said that this weekend I can have for myself. Because the club where she works, is getting renovated. So she is free to take care of the little ones. And I'm free to party!'' Rin said with a big smile on her face. The last part she said in a more sing - sing voice. Kagome who was listening to the conversation intensively finally asked.

 

''So who is this Kazzana person?''

 

''Well he is the most perverted guy in school. But he is not one of those, horny perverted guys. He is more of a perverted gentleman.'' Explained Ayame while sitting down at the empty table.

 

''And besides his parties are the best. They are a total BAM! And you'll just have to go with me, with us. We'll have lots of fun.'' Added Rin, sitting across Ayame and besides Kagome who was thinking if she should go to the party.

 

''I don't know. First I have to ask my mother.''

 

''I'm sure she'll say yes, when I'm through talking to her. And if I must I'll be more then prepared to talk to your parents Ayame.'' Said Rin, in her head already planning what she will say to Kagome's mother and how she will talk to Ayame's parents. Ayame seeing that determined look on Rin's face in a hurry took the defense place. Stopping Rin before she will go to their parents and say something stupid. Something Rin like.

 

 

''Okay. Okay. Don't get ahead of yourself Rin. We have three days till the party so just chill. And I'm sure me and Kagome can talk to our parents in letting us go to Kazzana's party.''

 

''Okay. But if you need extra help, you know, on who to turn on.'' Said Rin as she looked around the table then all of a sudden she pulled out a whole pack of chocolate. She smiled a big cheeky smile before speaking. ''So who wants some chocolate?''

 

SOUL DEVOTION

 

''Oh. My. God! Inuyasha Takahashi just glanced at you!'' Squealed a red haired girl turning her head toward the blond one. The were in the class room chatting while waiting for their music teacher. The bell has already rung but no sight of the teacher. He was late. As usually.

 

''He did not.'' Retorted the blond one, blushing a little and looking away from her red haired friend.

 

''Yes he did. And if you ask me he is sooo in to you.''

 

''No he's not.''

 

''Yes he is. Just look up and you'll see that he is looking at you. And with those sexy dreamy eyes of his. You're so lucky to have such a guy ogling you!''

 

''Oh, Yuri. Just stop it. You are making me blush!''

 

''Why? Because the most gorgeous and popular bad boy guy in Kenji High is looking at you?''

 

''He is not looking-''

 

''Will you two shut up already?!'' A brunet girl who was sitting one row before them turned to them trying to shut them up. The two perky girls were giving her a headache.

 

''Sorry the all mighty Ice Queen Sango - sama'' The red one named Yuri said mocking her. Sango send her a death glare.

 

''Do not mock me Yuri.'' With those five words spoken she turned back to the front, but also added. ''Besides. He is not looking at your bimbo friend. He is looking at the new girl. Kagome Higurashi.'' Sango took a pencil and opened her book and started writing something in it. While Yuri and her friend tried to find out if it was true that Inuyasha Takahashi was indeed looking at the new girl. Moments later the teacher ran in to class. She was out of breath because of running.

 

''Sorry class I'm late. But I was on the phone speaking to the principal about my son.'' Typical. Her son was a real trouble maker. He was a little spoiled brat one would say. Already his first year in Kenji high and as the rumor said he almost burn down the chemistry room. She took her glasses and looked up at the students.

 

''Well teachers informed me that we have a new student in this class.'' She looked at the papers she was holding before smiling a big smile. ''Kagome Higurashi? Can you please come out and introduce yourself? She asked as Kagome stood up and went to the teacher. Turning her head to the class she managed to nod before speaking.

 

''Emm.. okey, so my name is Kagome Higurashi.'' She said while sticking her hands in her pocket on her pants. ''I came here from America, but I was born here in Japan and lived here about eleven twelve years.'' She wanted to end her little description here, but the teacher mentioned for her to tell more. ''I live with my mom, brother and grandpa at the Higurashi shrine. I have a pet cat, his name is Buyo. And my favorite color is blue. Thank you.'' She bowed nicely to the teacher and made her way to her seat. But unknown to her Sango at the very front had a sudden shook look on her face.

 

''Okay! Thank you Kagome honey. Now class, I wanna know if some of you people are interested in chore or orchestral. Or for the punks at the back you can have your band groups.''

 

Inuyasha just rolled his eyes. The teacher pretty damn knew that he had no time to play in some silly band. He wouldn't even go here if he hadn't saw the new girl Kagome Higurashi enter this class.

 

SOUL DEVOTION -SANGO PoV-

 

'I don't understand, is she the missing Higurashi - Shichinintai, is she Kagome Kim Higurashi - Shichinintai??'

 

FLASH BACK

 

Two figures stood in outside in front of a big steps. There hands were linked and they looked with determination at the steps. The black haired boy looked at his right, where by him stood a beautiful brunet girl. He smiled before speaking. ''So Sango, are you ready to see my home? The infamous Higurashi shrine and the people that live there?''

 

''Ready as can be.'' Sango stated firmly.

 

CHANGE OF PLACE

 

''So this is your little sister. The ONE.'' Sango asked as she looked at the pictures the black haired boy was showing her.

 

''Yeah, that is my Kagome. She is cute ain't she. Who would have though that such a pretty face, such as angels have, could be a demon.'' The boy said taking the picture from her observing it. Sango nodded her head in agreement.

 

''Yeah she is. How old is she you say?''

 

''She's ten.''

 

''So I'm almost three years older than her. And you're- ''

 

''I'm five years older than her.''

 

''And two years older than me.''

 

The guy chuckled a bit before giving her a small kiss on her fore head and pulling her closer to him.

 

''I'm glad we made the ages clear now.'' He said as he pulled her in to his

lap.

 

''Yeah, me to. Love you.''

 

''Love you to Sango.''

 

CHANGE OF PLACE

 

''Sorry about your Father.''

 

''It's not your fault Sango. Beside I should have been prepared. We all knew this was coming.''

 

''Don't blame yourself for this. It's not your fault. Anyway, how is Kagome hanging about this.''

 

He looked up at her, his hair all messed up, circles under his eyes.

 

''Not good. She is still having those night mares.'' Sango just nodded at this in understanding and took his hand connecting it with his as they stood there at the cemetery.

 

CHANGE OF PLACE

 

''So when is she leaving for America?'' Asked Sango as she snuggled in to her lovers embrace. They were momentarily lying on his bed, enjoying each other presents.

 

''In a week.'' He answered while he ran his hand threw her brown hair.

 

''Ahh..You know. I remembered when you first showed me her pictures. They were so happy, innocent and naive, especially her eyes. But now when I look at her, at her eyes they are so cold and distant.'' She said while leaving a trail of butterfly kisses on his bare chest.

 

''Yeah. I remember. That was about two, three years ago. Right?'' He lifted her head up, looking in to her eyes. She nodded before she leant in to him and kissing him fully on the lips.

 

CHANGE OF PLACE

 

''Don't do this to me! Don't leave me!!'' Screamed Sango as she held her lover in her lap. His blood everywhere.

 

''Sango..-'' He managed to say before he threw up his own blood. ''-We both knew this will come. Please take care of Kagome. Get her on that plane and make sure she will be alright when she comes back.''

 

''NO! Nii-san!'' A tiny voice that belonged to a little girl yelled.'' Don't leave us like daddy did. Please.'' She pleaded.

 

''Yes. Please. Listen to your little sister! Listen to Kagome. Don't leave us.'' She shook him.

 

''Sango, Kagome. Take care. Love you both...''

 

''No! NII- SAN!''

 

''Bankotsu don't LEAVE ME...US!! DON'T YOU DARE LEAVE US!!''

 

CHANGE OF PLACE

 

''I know Kagome you don't want to go, but you must. It was your brothers wish.''

 

''But I don't wanna leave you mommy or Souta. Please don't make me go.'' Kagome said threw her tears.

 

''I know Ka- chan, I know. But you will understand this when you are older. And when the time comes you will sit on that plan and come back to Japan.'' She said hugging the little girl and escorting her in to the plane.

 

As Sango looked at the plane as it went off in to the blue sky and of to America she made two promises. ''I'll always protect you and take care of you Kagome Kim Higurashi - Shichinintai and I will always love you Bankotsu Higurashi - Shichinintai.''

 

END OF FLASH BACK

 

'Is it possible that this is our little naive Ka- chan? It's been four years since I last heard about her. If it is, it is my dote to protect her. And as the second in commend in Shikon High I'll will do my dote and protect the ONE.'

 

SOUL DEVOTION

 

A/N: Who would have though that Sango and Bankotsu had something going on? I would! It was kind of cute don't you think? But unfortunately he is dead. And why is he dead? Why is Kagomes father dead? Was it a suicide or murder? And what did Sango meant when she said that she is the second in commend in Shikon High? Not Kenji High? Is there something you don't know? Off course there is. There is plenty you don't know. Only I the almighty May knows! But if you review I'll let you know because if you review I'll write more and very fast. And than you could read and review again...

 

Oh and Miroku's party is coming up and some nasty things are going to happen ;)
