What do you say at the end, when everything you ever wanted is suddenly within your grasp, just waiting for you to seize it like the small, glowing jewel at your feet?

 

What do you say when you suddenly realize that, somehow, you don't want it anymore?

 

What do you say when you look down at your hands to find blood drying in the edges of your claws, and you don't feel a hint of remorse?

 

What do you say when you look up and it slowly dawns on you that everyone you love has made it through alive and well?

 

What do you say when the most important person in the world to you limps over, despite the many cuts and bruises marring her perfect human form, and offers you a tired smile and her hand?

 

What do you say when you realize that everything that may have once kept you from her no longer exists?

 

What do you say when you realize that the great quest of your life is completed, your old hurts are healed, and justice and vengeance have been served to those in need of it?

 

You just smile back, take her hand, and say nothing at all.

Okay, yeah, another short, weird one... This is just a one-shot, and it came from an odd thought that I had while I was packing (I moved the other day!) - how is this all going to end? The group, and especially Inuyasha, has been at this quest for so long that they might be at a loss for what to do once it's over. So... yeah. Just some random thoughts n..n;
