Kagome and Inuyasha were sitting together in the forest alone. Not a word was exchanged between the two for the past twenty minutes. After the awkward silence and the glancing at one another, Inuyasha was the first to break the silence.
“You know that short kimono of yours that you wear almost every day makes you look like a whore,” he stated bluntly. Kagome’s face flushed deep purple with anger.
‘How could she have these feelings of love towards him when he was simply an ass?’ she thought to herself.
Inuyasha braced himself for the impact, but the magic word never escaped from Kagome’s lips. Instead she began to cry. Damn! He hated to see her cry. Worst of all, the salt from the tears created an intense aroma that stung his nose. He couldn’t bare it, so he tried to cheer her up. He slowly approached her, with his arms open and gave her a bone crushing bear hug. Kagome stopped crying in shock and then shouted “Osuwari!” Inuyasha’s face was impaled into the ground. She knew he only hugged her for his own reasons.
“Damn you, you stupid bitch,” he muttered.
“I’m going home!” she remarked haughtily.
“Fine then leave!”
“Sometimes I think it was a big mistake ever meeting you!”
“The feeling’s mutual, wench!”
With that, she ran in the direction of the well.
Upon reaching the well, she sensed a nearby presence.
“Come out!” she commanded nervously.
“Do you actually believe you are one to command me?” a cold icy voice replied.
It was Sesshomaru.
‘Oh no…Inuyasha is too upset with me to come to my rescue now’
“What do you want with me”
“Nothing I was just passing by, wench”
“Sesshomaru-sama, you never simply pass by Inuyasha’s Forest. You must want something.”
He smirked. This simple wench wasn’t as clueless as he thought. “You’re here for the Tetsusaiga aren’t you?” she continued.
“This Sesshomaru desires the Tetsusaiga more than life itself, but this Sesshomaru desires something else at this given time.”
“And that would be?”
“An answer”
“To what” Sesshomaru’s eyes gazed towards the well, and he gave a discomforting smirk once again.
“Wench, I believe you know exactly what I want to know.”
“Well you’re not getting answers.”
“In that case I’ll force them out of you,” he threatened as he revealed his dangerously sharp claws pulsating with poison.
Kagome clenched her jaw. What was she to do now? If Sesshomaru was to find out about a future where demons no longer are allowed to roam free, who knows what he would do? Suddenly she saw a powerful light coming from the forest. It was coming towards them FAST. Both Sesshomaru and Kagome attempted to leap out of the way, but to no avail. Both of them were immediately struck by the light.
