'Still not back.' Inuyasha thought as he peered into Kagome's room. "Where the fuck is she?!" he

shouted. "I'm sure she would have told me...or left a note that she wasn't going to be back." he

mentally kicked himself. He was acting like her lover or something. 'And I'm not her lover, so I

just have to live with that.' "BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY

ABOUT HER!!!" he punched the wall, making a hole. "Dammit where is she?!"

Inuyasha stormed out of his cabin and quickly ran over to Sango's and Miroku's. He banged on

the door. "MONK! OPEN UP!" his ears pointed at the door, listening to the sound of the two

moving around inside the cabin. He crossed his arms. 'Come on...COME ON!'

Sango slowly opened the door, her hair was all tangled and stuck out, and her cloths were

wrinkled, Miroku, who was standing behind her, was in no better state. He gave Inuyasha a hard

look. Inuyasha's eyes narrowed. "Don't give me that look monk, I don't care what I interrupted."

"What do you want Inuyasha?" Sango asked looking at him sourly.

"Have you two seen Kagome?" Inuyasha asked. "She never came back to the cabin at all today

after she left after supper."

Sango's eyes widened. "No, Inuyasha, I haven't seen her. The last time I saw her is when we were

at the beach."

"Did she say where she was going?!" Inuyasha asked.

Sango thought for a second. "I think she was meaning to stay on the beach for awhile, you should

look there."

Inuyasha nodded. "OK, thank you...and um...sorry Miroku..." he smirked and walked off.

'She was on the beach...' Inuyasha thought as he looked around the empty beach. "She damn well

isn't here now!" he exclaimed as he continued to walk around. "Kagome! Kagome!" he looked

around. "Come on, Kagome! Enough of this!"

Kagome's eyes trembled and slowly opened, she couldn't feel anything, just the numb pounding of

pain coming from her wounds. She had thought for sure she heard someone calling her name. "Is

someone out th-there?" she asked in a weak voice. 'That was not loud enough.' Kagome winced,

she couldn't find the strength to move, her body hurt too much. "...please...help me..."

Kagome coughed as blood gurgled up in her throat, her moaned and closed her eyes as the blood

ran out of her mouth. 'I guess...this is where it ends....right?' she winced again. 'Maybe..if I roll

over...' Kagome braced herself and turned over on her back, a streak of pain shot through her back

and she screamed.

"Nani?!" Inuyasha turned and looked behind him. 'That scream...' his eyes narrowed and he ran

back the beach. 'Oh please let her be alright...please let tat scream be just because she found a crab

or something...' he stopped suddenly and looked at the sight that lay before him, his heart started

racing, and his breath caught in his throat. "K-Kagome?!"

There she lay, alone, in a bloody mess, barely alive from what he could see. He dropped to her side

and moved her hair away from her face. "Kagome! Kagome! Who did this to you?! TELL ME!"

Kagome coughed and grabbed Inuyasha's shoulder with one of her hands. "I'm so glad you found

me..." she gave him a weak smile.

"Kagome...please...tell me who did this to you..." Inuyasha helped her sit up.

"I...I..." Kagome's head fell sideways and her eyes closed.

"Oh shit!" Inuyasha scooped her up and ran off.

Inuyasha brought Kagome into the bathroom of the cabin. 'I hate to do this...' Inuyasha thought as

he slowly started to undress the girl, while doing so he filled up the tub with warm water and soap.

He winced at the wounds that he came across as he took off Kagome's cloths. 'Nails...whoever

did this did it with nails...or something around that nature...' he thought.

Inuyasha picked up Kagome's naked body and put her in the tub, and sit her up just so the bubbles

and water was just up over her breasts. Inuyasha picked up a sponge and dipped it in the water and

slowly started to clean the wounds across the upper part of Kagome's chest. Oh how he hated

himself at that moment, no matter how much of a thrill it secretly gave him to be able to bathe

Kagome, he was hurting.

"Mm..." Kagome moaned, she opened her eyes slowly and watched as Inuyasha slowly took his

hand, containing a sponge, back away from her. She moved her eyes down and realized where she

was and what he was doing, but she was too weak and in pain to curl up into a protective ball to

keep the hanyou from seeing anymore. She just looked at him.

"Kagome...I can explain..."

"No..no need." Kagome said, her voice a harsh whisper. "Continue with what you were doing..."

Inuyasha obeyed and started to sponge her again. "Kagome..who did this to you?"

"What would you say..." Kagome chest heaved in pain as she took a breath. "...if I told you...it

was Kikyo..."

Inuyasha stopped and looked at her. "Are you serious?"

Kagome nodded. "Yeah...three on one..." she looked him in the eyes. "...I never even bothered to

defend myself..."

Inuyasha nodded and wiped the blood off her face. "Its OK...nothing like that is going to happen

again."

Kagome lowered her eyes. "Inuyasha...I was scared...the only thing I could think about was you...I

was thinking about what would happen if..." she coughed.

"Shh..." Inuyasha cooed. "Don't talk...it'll only cause you more pain..."
