W atching the sun go down from the sailboat was beautiful to Kagome, but it was made even better

being in Inuyasha's arms. She smiled and cuddled into his chest while he stroked her hair softly.

Kagome then looked over at Miroku and Sango, who were sleeping on the other side of the

sailboat in each others arms, she smiled. "This was the perfect day..." she said softly, looking

at Inuyasha slowly.

Inuyasha smiled and kissed her. "Yes...I know..." he hugged her close to him. "I wish it could last

forever..."

"It can..we don't have to leave on those planes tomorrow...we could just stay here and be happy."

Inuyasha sighed at the thought of leaving on that plane without Kagome. "You know we can't do

that, Kagome...it would never work."

"I can always dream of it..." Kagome closed her eyes and pressed herself against him, resting her

head on his chest. "...it can always happen...in my dreams..." her breath became softer as sleep

took her over.

Inuyasha sighed and rested his chin on the top of Kagome's head. 'I never felt so close to anybody

before...even now I feel the pain of leaving her for those three hours I will be spending on that

plane...three hours without holding her..without seeing her...and maybe I won't get to see her at

the airport...maybe I won't be able to wait for her there... maybe this will be our last sunset...'

Tears started to sting in his eyes, and he freely allowed them to flow down over his cheeks.

Kagome picked the small yellow flower out of her knapsack, her eyes trembled. 'I'm coming

home, Sota...' she thought tossing the flower back into the bag. She sighed and walked out of the

room and tossed her bag on the floor in front of the door. Inuyasha's plane had left an hour before,

it was the hardest goodbye she ever had to say.

'I'm never going to see him again.' she thought as she picked her bag back up and left the cabin.

'I'm never going to look into those golden eyes ever again...' she looked up and saw Sango who

was waiting for her outside the cabin, her bags ready, and her eyes full of sorrow. "Oh, Sango.."

Kagome sobbed and gave her friend a hug. "Their gone..."

"We'll see them again, Kagome...don't worry about it...I'm sure we will..." Sango said as they

started to walk into the airport.

The two got their tickets off Mr. Sampson and walked out to the plane, they started to board.

"You know..." Kagome frowned. "I never loved somebody so much in my whole life...I never felt

this way about anyone before...and now I might never see him again..."

The girls made their way through the isle and to the back of the plane, but was soon stopped by

one of the are members. "Are you two Kagome and Sango?" the two girls nodded. "You are

wanted up in first class, isle one seats six, seven, eight, and nine."

Kagome and Sango gave each other a queer look, but shrugged it off and made their way up to

first class. 'I wonder...' Kagome thought as they neared the seats.

The two girl peered in at the four seats, two of them holding people. The girls gasped and felt wild

tears flood their eyes when they saw who it was.

"Hey, girls." Miroku greeted with a smile. Sango started to cry and jumped down into the sxeat

next to him, wrapping his lips into a tight kiss.

Kagome looked at Inuyasha, still stunned. She couldn't think, she couldn't breathe.

Inuyasha smiled. "Hey, Kagome....surprised?"

Kagome cried and sat next to him, he hugged her tightly. "I wasn't going to let us get separated."

He said softly. "I wasn't going to let it happen...shh...don't cry..."

Kagome kissed him. "I love you..." she wailed. "I love you so much!"
