finally a story about rin and sess! you have an interesting prologue so far. a story where sess is willing to marry a human. its good to know your prologue is short but the chapters are longer. looking forward to the next chapter
Yes,I know!Many people don't wright about Rin and Sesshomaru!Just InuYasha and Kagome.
I wanted Sesshomaru to be willing to marry a human.I thought it would be intresting,because he claims to dispise humans,yet he lets Rin follow him and he has no problem.
Now,I'll let you get back to the story!

Chapter One

There was a loud knock at the door.She knew instinctly who it was.She walked to the doors and opened them.There,standing in all his glory,was Lord of the Western Lands,Sesshomaru.

She looked up at the emotionless face and thought,'They expect me to marry him?'
She sighed and bowed slightly.He returned to gesture.
"Good morning,Sesshomaru-Sama."She looked at his face again.He looked down at her and she had to surpress a shiver that threatened her body.He was so emotionless,it was kind of scary.
Just as she was going to invite him in,her Mother came barreling down the stone stairs.She ran to the door and bowed deeply.
"Sesshomaru-Sama!Please,come in!"She pulled Rin from the doorway and allowed him to walk under the tall arch.He watched her with curious,golden eyes as he walked with her Mother to a room where they would have some privacy.Walking to the room was highly annoying,well,from Rin's perspective.People scattered throughout the Great Hall bowed as The Lord walked past them.Half of Rin's maids were eyeing him,but one look from Rin,they were scared out of their wits!
They walked up the stairs from the ground floor to the first floor,safe and sound.Rin kept her head bowed so she wouldn't notice him staring at her.
'Oh!Gods,he keeps staring at me!What do I do?'He watched her the whole time.Not once taking his eyes off her.He kept his face forward,but eyes still watched her.
She was starting to fidget.She played with the Silk on her Kimono.After what seemed like Eternity,they made it to the Dining Room.Rin's Mother walked to the chairs and pulled three out.She waited until Rin and Sesshomaru were seated comfortably,then sat down.
Rin sat silently next to her Mate/Husband to be.Her hands were folded neatly in her lap.She stared straight ahead.Not saying anything until her Mother asked her,"Rin,why don't you start off by telling Lord Sesshomaru-Sama how old you are?"Rin smiled,and said in a irritated voice,
"Why don't you tell him?I mean after all,you should know."Her second sentence was innocent,but was dripping with disdain.Rin swore she saw the faintest smile grace Sesshomaru's lips,faint may it be,but it was there.
"Well,uh,she's...sixteen?"Rin's eyes opened wide and she gasped,
"Good job!"This time she knew he smiled,it was visable.
She knew she was being mean to her mother,but she was tired,irritated,and she just didn't want to talk to Sesshomaru right now.Really,she wished he would come back later.
Rin stood up and said,"Now you know everything about me,I'm sixteen and I'm going to be married in a month,now,if you'll excuse me."With that,she walked up another flight of stairs and went to bed chamber.
"I am so sorry Sesshomaru-Sama!She usally is not like this,-"She was stopped when she saw him walk up up the same flight of stairs and dissapear down the hallway.

Rin shut her door and sat in at the foot of her bed.
'Kami,I'm going to be in so much trouble!My Mother is going to kill me for doing that to her in front of The Great Tai-Youkai!'Rin just wanted to be alone.There's no harm to that.Is there?She shook her head,and layed back.She heard a slight rapping noise at her door.She sighed and went to the door.There,standing in front of her was Sesshomaru.
"What do you want now?"She was in no mood to talk to him.
"Is that how you treat everyone who comes to your door?"He asked her in his monotone voice.He found it amusing she dared to talk to him that way.
"No.I'm sorry okay?I'm just in no mood to talk to anyone right now."She walked back over to her bed,and was suprised to see him come and sit down next to her.
'Does this guy not take a hint?'She was getting ready to kick him out,when she felt a strong arm wrap around her.She looked up to see he had his eyes closed and was breathing in her scent.She layed her head on his strong chest.His nosed buried in her hair.He felt her body shake and smelled salt.He didn't move and Rin was glad he stayed with her.
She cried for a great deal of time and he just held her like this the whole time.Not once moving.She had her hands wrapped in his white Kimono.Her knuckles turned white from holding the fabric like it was the only thing keeping her alive.
She sobbed great sobs that wracked her body.She just wished she could stop.She couldn't.A comforting hand rubbed her back as she cried.

After an hour or so her Mother came up to check on her.She noticed Rin's door was left opened.She walked to the opening and smiled softly at what she saw.There on Rin's bed,were two bodies that lay together sleeping.Her Mother sighed softly and thought,
'I knew it would work out.'Then she continued on her way.

Yay!Chapter one!I know Sesshomaru was little out of character here,but I wanted him to show his gentle side!This was a little longer than my prologue,but only because I'm tired her!I'll update as soon as possible.
P.S. When I was writing the little thing with Rin and Sesshomaru in her bedroom,I was listening to Everything I Do I Do It For You.
I suggest listen to it.Very soothing.
