Whoo! Double-update. =D Sorry for any spelling errors, I don't really read over the chapters. ^^;

When they got there, he parked the car just as forcefully as he had reversed it in her driveway.

Kagome grunted as she was once again slung a bit in her seat.

She glared at him when he turned the engine off.

"You're a real bitch, you know that?" he asked, looking at her.

"ME?! YOU'RE the one that started all this!" Kagome accused.

"Whatever..." he simply replied and got out of the car, followed by Kagome.

She went up to his side, ready for the tour, despite her dislike for him.

"Ready?" he asked.

She nodded.

"Then follow me. And don't get lost. This place is pretty big since we're such a big record company so don't go wandering off!" he said sternly.

She nodded again.

He merely huffed and continued into the building with Kagome following close behind.

Inside there was a lobby. It looked like any regular old hotel or hospital lobby, with a receptionist and everything.

Inuyasha lead Kagome to the right of the lobby and down a hall until they reached a door that had "Manager Ass. Manager".

Kagome giggled.

"Don't even ask!" Inuyasha said gruffly.

"I have to now!" Kagome laughed.

Inuyasha put his hand to his forehead and shook his head.

"It was a spelling mistake. We were supposed to have it fixed quite a while ago when they redecorated the building and shit, but it never happened." he explained.

"Oh." she replied, a smile still present on her lips.

He lead her inside the door and explained what the room was.

"This is of course, as the door said, the Manager and Assistant Manager's office." he explained.

"Oh, I thought the door said 'Ass Manager'?" she couldn't help it. She'd never let that one go.

He sneered at her.

"Hey, it fits you well!" she laughed.

He rolled his eyes and lead her out of the room.

He walked her down the hall and to another hall where numerous doors stood.

He explained that they were rooms for the artists signed with Youkai Records. They were rooms that the artists lived in while they recorded their singles and albums. He walked a ways down the hall and came to a door that didn't have a name on it.

"This is gonna be your room." he said plainly.

Kagome squealed excitedly.

"I can't wait!"

"Yeah, whatever..." he mumbled.

"The rest of the building is just boring office shit you wouldn't care about, I'm sure. There's a bathroom in your room, so you don't have to worry about that. Vending machines are placed all over the goddamn place at every corner, so you don't have to worry about food. You know where the Manager's office is and all that, so I'm assuming we don't need to continue the tour." he said.

"Question!" Kagome chirped, turning to face him. "Are any of the artists here right now?"

He was silent for a moment.

"No..." he said quite plainly.

"Oh." Kagome replied disappointedly. "Will any of them be here while I'm here at some point?" she asked hopefully.

"My guess would be yeah... sometime or the other. If you're lucky, they'll all be here. It's happened."

Kagome squealed again.

His ears twitched.

"Ugh, would you stop that?!"

"Oh, sorry! I didn't notice your ears before!" she smiled and tweaked at the two furry triangles.

"Stop that!" he growled, pulling away from her.

"Sorry! Couldn't help myself! They're so cute!" she said cheerily.

"Cute?! I am NOT cute!" he retorted.

"Haha, don't kid yourself." she smiled.

"Kid -- Oh... you have got it comin'!" he replied.

"Quit threatening me! That's the second time!"

"I can threaten you all I want and there's not a damn thing you can do about it!"

"I'll tell your manager!" Kagome challenged.

"Oh! You're trying to threaten ME now?! Like I said before, I have power over whether I want you accepted into this record company or not right now, so you better shut your mouth, little girl..." he snapped back. "You're lucky I'm being nice!" he finished.

"Hmph!" Kagome crossed her arms and turned her back to him.

"Feh, I don't NEED this! Just go home already." he also turned his back to her.

"And how do you suppose I'll get home?!" she asked.

"Not by me!"

Kagome turned to him.

"You're gonna make me call someone to come pick me up?! That wasn't apart of the plan, and in fact that's very rude!" she said.

"Yeah, well if you weren't such a bitch maybe I WOULD take you home!" he retorted hotly.

"BITCH?! YOU'RE the one who's being an ass!" she yelled.

No doubt everyone could hear them in the lobby...

"Excuse me, would you please quiet down?" the receptionist came and told the two.

They both just stood silent, and Kagome finally apologized.

"Thank you." the receptionist replied and walked back to the lobby.

"Look what you did!" Kagome whispered harshly.

"What I did?!" he whispered back just as harshly.

"Yeah you! Now take me home!"

"No! Why should I?!" he shot back.

"Because I don't have a ride and I'm not about to call someone to drive almost an hour and half out of their way to come and get me!"

"Hah! Guess you're just stuck here then, huh?" he smirked.

She couldn't believe this. How immature could one guy get? Honestly.

Before she could respond he began to walk away.

"It's getting late, and I'm tired of arguing with you so I'm leaving." he said, not turning to look back at her.

Kagome ran up to him.

"You can't just leave me here!" she said.

"Wanna bet?" he replied cockily.

He continued to walk, ignoring her protests of him just leaving her there.

They had made it out to the parking lot and to his car. He automatically unlocked it and opened the door.

"You can't just leave me here!" Kagome concluded her rant as to reasons why she shouldn't be left there.

He got in and started up the car, still ignoring her.

"Please don't leave me here!" she was getting scared now. He was actually going to leave her here all alone in the dark when the studio was about to close in a few minutes.

He looked up at her with a tedious expression, finally at least looking like he was listening to her.

"Please don't leave me here, I can't call anyone now that the studio's closing and it doesn't look like there's a payphone within miles of here!" she explained frantically.

"You got that right." he simply said, switching gears, about to pull out of his parking space.

"Please!!" Kagome felt tears sting at her eyes now.

He switched gears again and looked at her.

"I'm not taking you home." he told her.

"Please!" she repeated.

"NO! If you haven't noticed, that's out of my way, too! I gotta get home myself!" he shouted.

"Then why did you even volunteer to tour me around the place if you couldn't take me home?!" she shouted back just as loudly, her voice a little thicker than his from the tears that threatened to spill.

"Because I FIGURED you would have had a ride back!" he yelled.

"Well you FIGURED wrong!"

"Just shut the hell up! I'm leaving!" he was about to switch gears again when Kagome reached through the open car window and touched his shoulder.

"Don't leave me! Please!" she tried to hold back the tears, but one managed to slide down her cheek.

He looked at her, feeling sorry he had made her cry, but quickly put his hard facade back on.

"You can come with me, but I'm NOT taking you home tonight!" he said.

"Then where'll I stay for the night?!" she asked.

"You can stay at my place, but you're sleepin' on the couch!" he told her.

"I wasn't planning sleeping with you anyway, pervert!" she retorted.

"I didn't MEAN it that way! I told you I already gotta girl! You're just not FIT for the guest room I have!" he smirked.

There was silence and Kagome hurriedly wiped another tear that started to tread down her cheek.

Once again, he felt guilty.

"Just get in." he said, looking forward.

Kagome did as she was told and got in the passenger's side.

Inuyasha pulled out of the parking space and was on the road in a matter of seconds.

.-.-.

They soon made it to Inuyasha's apartment and they both walked to the front door.

As Inuyasha fumbled with his keys to find the right one for the front door, he began speaking.

"Dammit, you're a real pain, you know that?! Kikyo will be home soon and she's gonna think I'm cheating on her or something!" he grumbled.

"Kikyo?" Kagome echoed.

"Yeah, KIKYO, my girlfriend." he responded. Just then he stopped fumbling his keys. "Don't tell me your a big fan of hers or something..." he raised an eyebrow.

"THE Kikyo?!" Kagome asked excitedly.

Inuyasha groaned.

Kagome squealed. "That is so awesome!"

"Don't bother her. I'm sure she's going to be tired when she gets home." he told her.

"Why isn't she home now?" Kagome asked.

"Because she's working. She'll be home in like, ten minutes though. She works part time at a grocery store for a little extra cash." he explained.

"Shouldn't she be swimming in money?" Kagome asked.

He chuckled. "Believe me, she is, she has a mansion in California but she came over to Japan for the summer to spend time with me." he explained.

"Oh." Kagome responded. "How did you two meet?"

Inuyasha by then had found the key he was looking for and unlocked the front door, stepping inside, followed by Kagome.

"I figured it was obvious enough..." he said, closing the front door back, then turning to face her. "She got accepted into Youkai Records by Sesshomaru, of course. He noticed her at an amusement park in Tokyo, I guess, and she was suddenly in with Youkai Records. Her and Kagura." he explained.

"Is Kagura a good friend of hers or something?" Kagome asked.

"Actually no. They get into quarrels all the time in the studio. Kagura's been kicked out twice, but Sesshomaru doesn't permanently kick her out because her voice is so good and we make a lot of money off of her. Sesshomaru was also the one who suggested they be a duet because he thought their voices harmonized beautifully together. And to tell the truth, I can't disagree with that. They do have great voices."

"So did they both get noticed at the amusement park or what?" Kagome asked, curious to know everything about how the famous duet, KaKi, got discovered.

"Yeah. They didn't even know each other then. They both just had really good voices when they sang for karaoke, and Sesshomaru got both of them signed to the record deal." he explained.

"That's so cool." Kagome smiled softly.

"Yeah. So anyway, I met Kikyo when Sesshomaru brought her back for a tour of the studio, and I just thought she was the most prettiest girl I'd ever seen! So I started to talk to her and we hit it off. Pretty simple." he said.

"Oh." Suddenly Kagome felt awkward.

"We've been dating for only about 3 weeks though. She hasn't been a part of Youkai Records for that long, either. Only about 4 to 5 months. In that time, she managed to rake up a lot of money with the single her and Kagura made and bought a mansion out in California. She went to America for only about a month -- last month, and now she's visiting here to record her album over the summer and to spend time with me. She's only come out with a single... her and Kagura. Their album's do out this winter."

Kagome just gave him a smile in response.

He wondered why she was being so quiet... he knew how to liven her up a bit though and smirked at the thought.

"Yeah, Kikyo used to be in your shoes. SHE was one worth choosing to be apart of the record company. Not some flat board like YOU..." he said.

"Stop saying that!" Kagome yelled, and then decided she wasn't going to argue with him.

"It's true, though..." he smirked again.

"Just take me to where I'll be sleeping already!" she shouted.

Inuyasha was a bit taken back, but replied, "Fine." and lead her to the living room and showed her the couch.

At least it's not beat up, and actually quite comfy-looking...

Kagome smiled at the thought, but frowned when she realized that his apartment had a GUEST room she could be sleeping in, instead of the living room which was right next to the kitchen, and she could hear the refrigerator make it's humming noise.

"Aren't there any pillows or anything...?" she asked.

"Go grab some out of the Guest Room, I don't care." he replied.

"Why don't YOU? I'M the guest." Kagome explained.

"So?" he simply responded, plopping himself down on the couch.

"Agh!" it was then Kagome went and looked for the Guest Room.

Assuming that the first room she found was it, since there looked like there wasn't any personal belongings in it, she stripped the bed of it's blankets and pillow and went back out to the living room and through them on the couch next to Inuyasha.

"You're putting those back on the bed tomorrow morning..." he told her.

"No I'm not!" she yelled back.

"You will or I'm not driving you home!" he threatened.

"AGH!" she was beat once again.

"Inuyasha?" a woman's voice came from behind them.

"Hey Kikyo!" Inuyasha grinned.

"Who is this?" she asked as she looked Kagome over.

"Oh, don't worry about me! I'm getting accepted into Youkai Records, and he couldn't take me home because of how late it was, and I had nowhere to go, so he let me stay." Kagome smiled.

Kikyo looked at them suspiciously.

"All right." she accepted. "I'm tired, so I'm just going straight to bed." she added.

"I'll be in there in a minute!" Inuyasha called to her as she walked down the hall to her and Inuyasha's bedroom.

"I'm going to bed." Inuyasha told Kagome.

"Fine." was her simple reply.

He got up and headed down the hallway.

"Don't touch anything, Kagome." he warned as he went into his bedroom and shut the door.

Kagome sighed thinking about him and Kikyo in a room together... she did admit to herself that she was terribly excited about Kikyo being here, but for some reason it just wasn't as cool as she expected, especially when all Kikyo did was go right to bed with Inuyasha.

"They better not..." Kagome whispered to herself.

.-.-.

Kagome awoke in the middle of the night to a big storm.

She was scared no doubt. She barely knew Inuyasha, and she didn't know where she was. Not to mention she had forgotten to call her mother and knew her mother was probably worried sick about her right about now. But she figured she'd just call in the morning.

She tried to get back to sleep, but couldn't. She would toss and turn and sweat, so she decided to go to the bathroom. She had to use it anyway, plus she was thirsty.

She passed Inuyasha and Kikyo's room and heard nothing beyond the door. Which was a good sign. She continued into the bathroom and didn't even bother to turn on the light, and left the door open for some extra light.

She sat down on the toilet and did her business. She didn't hear the door open to Inuyasha's room, and she didn't even notice the shadow the crept towards the bathroom until the figure turned the light on.

Immediately Kagome screamed and did her best to cover herself.

The figure in the doorway turned out to be Inuyasha who was in only his boxers and pretty startled himself. He quickly rubbed at his sleepy eyes and looked to see who was in his bathroom.

He saw Kagome, and immediately a blush took over his face.

"GET OUT!" she yelled.

He quickly did as he was told and shut the door behind him.

"You could've locked the door, not to mention CLOSED it!" he yelled back at her.

She quickly got finished in the bathroom, washed her hands and opened the door.

"THERE!" she said to him, huffing and walking away from the tired man.

She walked to the end of the hall and watched the bathroom door as he was inside.

It wasn't long until he came out and noticed her looking at him.

"What?" he asked.

"Nothing."

He shook his head and was about to go back into his room when he heard her speak.

"Inuyasha..." she whispered.

He looked over at her. She looked like a scared child. He put his hand to his forehead in frustration.

"Don't tell me you're afraid of the storm."

She hesitated.

"Not really. I just can't sleep because of it."

There was a long pause.

"Well what do you want me to do about it?! You can't SLEEP with me like you would your parents!" he told her.

"I know." she responded quietly.

"So what do you suggest I do about it?" he asked, crossing his arms.

"Stay awake with me until I fall asleep..." she blushed.

"Are you kidding?! I need sleep too! Who KNOWS when you'll fall asleep!" he yelled back at her.

"Please? I don't even know where I'm at, and I'm scared." okay, she admitted it. She was scared.

He sighed and walked towards and passed her.

"Never again." he said.

She smiled happily.

"Thank you."

"Feh. Whatever." he replied, sitting down on the couch and leaning back to rest his head.

She sat next to him and waited for sleep.

Twenty minutes had past and sleep never claimed her. Inuyasha was a different story, though. He was out of it, sitting back on the couch with his head tilted backwards, mouth open. All she could hear was the rain outside, the refrigerator, and his breathing. It was comforting.

She grabbed the blanket that was on the floor and pulled it over their laps. She then fluffed the pillow he had allowed her to sleep on and laid down on it, part of her lower half resting in Inuyasha's lap.

About another 30 minutes had past and Kagome was close to sleep. She felt her eyelids get heavy and her breathing slow. But then she felt something else... an extra weight.

She looked over her shoulder and noticed that Inuyasha had laid on top of her. He wrapped his arms around her and held her close and then gave her a soft, brief kiss on the cheek.

Her eyes widened and her heart was thumping wildly.

He must think I'm Kikyo...!

He then nuzzled his face into her neck and his breathing became steady again.

Kagome didn't know what to do. She couldn't move, even if she tried. She didn't want to wake him up with them in this compromising position. So she just stayed still and tried to fall asleep.

.-.-.

She awoke to the sound of glass breaking and Inuyasha's yell of pain.

She opened her eyes and then rubbed them so her vision wouldn't be blurred.

She heard screaming and more glasses shattering.

"Calm the fuck down!" she heard Inuyasha's voice.

"No Inuyasha!! You lied to me! You LIED to me!! You just had that girl over for a good FUCK, didn't you?! I should've known! I should've known it would turn out this way! You haven't even fucked ME and you go and give yourself to THAT WHORE?!" she yelled, her voice thick with tears.

"We didn't do ANYTHING! I can explain what the hell happened if you'd just shut the hell up for a minute!!" Inuyasha retorted.

"NO! Fuck you, Inuyasha! You can ruin this relationship but you CAN'T ruin my life, I won't let you!" with that, the front door slammed shut, causing the whole room to vibrate.

There was silence.

Kagome didn't know what to say... she figured that Kikyo had caught her and Inuyasha sleeping together like that, and assumed they did something.

Inuyasha simply sat back down on the couch, looking confused, as if he didn't know what just happened.

"Great... fucking great..." he said to himself when realization hit him, running a hand through his hair and sighing.

"I'm sorry." Kagome said in the softest, lightest tone she'd ever used in her life.

Inuyasha didn't respond for a few seconds.

"Are you ready to go the way you are?" he asked, completely changing the subject.

Kagome nodded.

"Then let's go." he said, standing up and slipping on some pants that were thrown onto his livingroom floor. He then slipped a plain white tank-top over his head that was thrown carelessly onto the TV set.

"Didn't you want me to put the blankets and stuff back in the Guest Room?" she asked.

He shook his head.

"Just come on."

She got up and he grabbed his keys. She then followed him out the front door and into his car.
