Chapter 1 What, Who and Where She

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha and company, the wonderful Rumiko does. I just get to borrow them and make them do crazy stuff. Welcome to the start of another crazy story.

Sleep. That's all she wanted, but it just wasn't meant to be. First the sun rays filtered through the blinds onto her face. Then the annoying sound of her alarm clock, beeping loudly, telling her it was time to get up. Opening her eyes, slowly, allowing a groan to escape from her lips, Kagome stretched to allow her sore muscles a moment to relax before her tortuous day truly began.

Days like today, she loved, but she paid for it at night when she finally stopped the flow of movement. Working at the retail store of nick knacks during the day, and of an evening helping out at the ranch to help with the horses that needed to be broken in, not to mention a beautiful mare named Gellie was due to give birth any day now, left her very little time to spare. Even when she did have extra time on her hands, she was working on her spiritual powers to become stronger, her archery, or training in general with blades or hand to hand combat to make sure she was always ready. All this combined kept her on her toes. When darkness fell, she would be exhausted but she couldn't sleep worth a damn. No matter how tired she was or how hard she tried, sleep was not her friend, and hasn't been for the last 2 months.

After a quick shower to help awaken her mind, Kagome changed into her hip hugger's blue jeans and a beige tank top, and black boots. She wanted to feel comfortable and so she shall. That was one of the joys of working at “Moonlight” (the retail store), they let you dress anyway you wanted to - as long as you did your job. Throwing her hair up in a high ponytail, applying a small amount of pink lip gloss to her lips, she blew herself a kiss and headed out the door of her house. The 24 year old jumped into her Toyota Tacoma, and drove towards work. There was a bounce in her step as she drove to town with her music blaring and singing to her hearts content. Something was going to happen. She didn't know what, when, where, how or why, but she was bubbling with energy from anticatipation.

She had no idea just how close to the truth she was. Something was going to happen today. Something that would change lives forever.
