Chapter 9,
Day four Part three
Asuka awoke to the annoying phone; Souta, and her father decided to go for a morning walk. She felt in better spirits than before when she had heard of the tragic news. Reaching over her pillow she picked up the phone and with a sleepy voice, she said “Hello.”
“Good morning, this is Mrs. Matsushita, we had spoken the other day, about the prior accident, I have good news.” She paused when Asuka cut her off.
Her heart stopped when she heard who was on the other line. The lady she had spoken with had called her with information about the accident and she prayed it was news that indeed found her baby. “Please, do you have word that you have found my daughter?”
The other line became silent, “No Mrs. Higurashi, I am sorry I cannot, however we’ve located the black box from our satellite and are rescue team is headed for the sight as we speak.” The woman spoke softly.
Asuka felt hope, if they had found the wreckage maybe she would have some comfort finding her daughter either dead or alive, at least it would bring some kind of closure either way. However, she felt slapped by this woman calling only to inform her of the wreckage and not about her missing daughter. “ Mrs. Matsushita, why are you calling me?” She asked as she began to sob freely, “Do you have any idea how hard it is to know if your baby is alive or dead?” Mrs. Matsushita began to cut her off although never was given the chance, “No I didn’t think so! How dare you call me only to give me false hope? I don’t want to hear from you until you have fully recovered my daughters body, do you understand?”
“Mrs. Higurashi, please I am sorry, however it is my duty to call and inform the victims’ family that a rescue party has been sent out and should be arriving at the scene early tomorrow morning.” She explained.
“Well why are you calling now, shouldn’t they been out looking days ago?” Asuka seethed.
“Ma’am it takes time…”
“Time, yeah time, listen I think I am done speaking with you.” Asuka replied, then hung up the phone, only to cry into her pillow once more, feeling hopeless that her daughter would not return home alive.

Kagome stopped prancing around when she saw Inuyasha was not at all amused with the strangers that now infested the small isle. “Well Inuyasha should we go and introduce ourselves, I mean how else are we going to know.”
He growled, “ I don’t know, maybe we should go back to the cave.”
“What! Have you lost your mind, we could be rescued here and you want to return to camp.” She didn’t understand, why Inuyasha was being so stubborn almost afraid to move from his spot. She had never seen him so defensive. She waited for his response and became more aggravated when he did not answer. “Inuyasha answer me, Dammit!”
Finally tired of trying to deal with him, “Fine, then if you wont make nice, nice then I guess I will.” She fumed while storming away in the opposite direction of the camp.
Inuyasha didn’t have the heart to tell her that there was another half demon on the island. His concealment spell would render him useless. There was no reason he needed to cover his true look any longer. Taking off the bracelet, he could feel his demonic attributes reappear. With an arrogant smile, he tucked the trinket into his pants pocket as he ran after Kagome, mumbling “stupid bitch.“

Naraku sighed taking in the warm sun that now radiated off his face, he kept glancing down at his watch, “There late,” he growled, making his men tremble. Just like that, the deal was off, and he would kill them when they would eventually show up. He had nothing to lose; he would keep the drugs and the cash, he smiled it was a much better deal.
He hated waiting, as his temper began to flare. Naraku was about to call his men back when a spicy scent, whipped him straight in the face suddenly arousing his sensitive, nose that is until the masculine male odor sent his temper flaring. He growled at the thought of another male half demon on his territory. He needed to find out who these two were that invaded his domain. “Lets get going hombres!” He ordered.
The two remaining men carried the heavy artillery; as their machine guns, hung low at their sides, as they obediently followed there superior, while walking down the beach.

“Shippo are you sure this thing you call a plane will make it?” Sesshomaru asked while he spoke in the small microphone that rested near his mouth. He could not help but pose, the large silver pontoon plane looked like it was least twenty years old. He could hear the long wings rattle violently as they hit turbulence.
Sesshomaru could have smacked himself when arriving at the small local airport as he watched Shippo lean against his plane with his arms crossed showing off his masculinity. His auburn hair pulled taunt into a ponytail. Sesshomaru could see the fresh grease stains on he gray wife beater shirt, as well his blue jeans. “This rusty piece of scrap metal is going to get us nowhere Shippo,” he recalled telling the young fox demon.
He had to admit that it flew further than he had anticipated. He could not feel any anxiousness from the young kit. He growled when he heard Shippo talking to him in his headset. No matter how much had changed over the years, he hated these the most, hurting his sensitive ears.
“I assure you it will make it, I have worked very hard on her.” Shippo chuckled. He could tell that his co-pilot tense up when the plane suddenly started coughing, rendering one of its propellers. “Well this isn’t good.” He stated calmly as he started flipping the switch on and off again.
Sesshomaru watched Shippo franticly, “What the hell is wrong with it?”
“Don’t worry, it’s a miner setback.”
“What! A minor setback, you have to be kidding me.” Sesshomaru hissed, “You better fix this setback.”
Shippo smiled from ear to ear as the propeller kicked back on, “ See nothing to worry about all you need to do is give her tender loving care.” He chuckled as his green eyes filled with amusement, while his hands regained the Y shaped yoke, while they flew over the vastness of the deep blue ocean.

Inuyasha did not take long catching up to the feisty woman. “Would you wait just a damn minute before you decide to go and get yourself killed?” He snorted.
She looked over at him, puzzled, “why are you back, why didn’t you disguise yourself as a human?”
“Because sweetheart, there is another half demon on this hell hole and I don’t like it, but no you don’t want to listen to me, you just want to rush so you can have your luxuries again.” He huffed as he grabbed her arm swinging her around out of her stride.
“Inuyasha!” She gasped.
“No Kagome your not going anywhere, until I am 100% sure we are safe, don’t you understand, I need you.” He confessed then crashed his searing lips upon hers, gently yet passionately, however it didn’t last long. “Come get on my back.”
She gave him a confused expression; she obeyed as he leaned down. She placed herself against his hard back, slowly placing her hands on his brawn shoulders, gripping his bare skin. She could feel his claws scrape across her flesh, sending shivers down to her very core as they worked their way to her upper thigh. Pressing her head against his long silver hair, she loved they way he felt against her.
“Hold on tightly,” he said firmly.
She complied as he sprinted into the dense foliage. She shifted her head only to rest on his shoulder so his long hair wouldn’t slap her in the face any longer. She grabbed him tighter as he bounded up a nearby limb, only climbing higher and higher, until he jumped from branch to branch as he carefully watched below, only trailing the scent that would confirm if they were safe or not.
It did not take long before he found the remaining men scurrying around the island, he could see that they were armed and didn’t look friendly. “See,” he whispered pointing down through the hidden coverage of leaves.
She very much disliked the fact that he had indeed been right, “Yeah I see,” she said snidely, if she could she would be crossing her arms; instead she dug her small nails into his skin.
He could not help but retort, “ Would you like to make nice, nice with them now, I can drop you off if you would prefer.” He could feel her nails dig deeper into his skin, it didn’t hurt, and however he slightly chuckled as he could only imagine her face as she seethed with anger behind him. “ Lets head back.”
She loved to ride on his back; it was thrilling and soon forgot why she was mad at him. She felt as if she was flying, how bad she wanted to let go of his smooth shoulders only to have them flap freely in the air. He was agile, stealthy, and dangerous plus he was downright sexy. She became aroused, feeling her body collided with his, every time he landed, then jumped again. Her hair entwined with his as the wind carried it away. Kagome heard him growl when she pressed her cheek to his. It wasn’t an angry growl; no he seemed to be enjoying this too.
He wanted to stop and savagely ravish her, spite the pending danger. Instead, he remained calm and collective, pushing back his desires. Thankful she couldn’t smell him. He once again made it back to the white beaches, before he came out of the foliage he sniffed around, it was safe so he ventured out, crouching down to unload his cargo.
She slowly slid off his back and landed in the softness of the earth once again. She smiled at him, uncertain on what to expect next, “Inuyasha now what?” She asked she didn’t want to believe that the very people that could rescue them could very well seal their demise.
“I Don’t know?” He confessed, “If need be we can take them out one by one.”
“Oh that’s a great idea, that’s the best one you had all day!” Kagome said as she seethed with sarcasm.
Inuyasha growled baring his fangs, he grabbed her arms roughly, “Well sweetheart do you have any better ideas!”
What could she say, she didn’t know what to do and she defiantly didn’t want him getting hurt by attacking the other people with their deadly guns. “Getting yourself killed is not the answer.” She stated calmly.
He stood still letting her words sink into his head, ‘she cares’, he thought. Making her look at him, he gripped her arms tighter, “I will not be harmed.”
“NO! I will not let you take that chance, we have to surrender, I don’t believe that they will kill us, we don’t even know who they’re.”
The wind suddenly shifted and Inuyasha became protective, pulling Kagome behind him, he threatened, “Step out I know you are there!”
Kagome gasped, when a handsome tall dark haired figure and his two henchmen followed only to have their guns aimed at them.
