Chapter 24
A Night to Remember
Sesshomaru keenly kept watch. He had kept post most of the night. Dawn would be approaching soon. However, he was not the only one awake. He growled at the man. 'How dare he try to kill Inuyasha.'
Hiten shifted uncomfortable, and he was itching for a cigarette. "Look man, I need a smoke."
"Tell me your name, and maybe I'll consider it." Sesshomaru spoke harshly.
"Fair trade," Hiten responded, as he dug through his pocket, grabbing his pack of cigarettes. In the other pocket he found his lighter. Placing it in his mouth, he was just beginning to light it.
"A name!" Sesshomaru barked.
"Hiten," he said with a slight smirk, as he lit his cigarette. Taking in a deep drag, he glanced at Sesshomaru. "Thanks man! You don't know how long it's been since I've had one of these babies!"
Sesshomaru growled, "be grateful I even let you splurge in your pleasures!" He looked at Hiten coldly, as he continued. "Tell me! Why did you try and kill my brother?"
Hiten laughed, he really liked this Sesshomaru...even if his boss wanted him dead. "You amuse me," he said with a chuckle. "Don't take it personal man. I was only following orders. I really have no beef with your brother or his estranged girlfriend."
Sesshomaru stood, then proceeded to walk over to Hiten who was still sitting on the ground. He could not stand the fact that this very man was laughing at the idea. Cracking his knuckles he growled, "Is that so?" Sesshomaru knew that this man was toying with him...or so he thought. Kneeling down he wanted to continue the conversation. "So, you were just doing what you were ordered to do? "
Hiten inhaled the smoke from the white filter, then blew it at Sesshomaru. He knew it wasn't the wisest decision he made, as he listened to the white hair demon; who was now growling at him. He weighed his options: they both wanted Naraku dead. Perhaps he could persuade the small group that he wasn't a threat, and possibly convince them that he was more like an ally. Someone who was strong to take down the man who humiliated him, or the many times that Naraku tried to take his life. Furthermore the question remained? Could he earn their trust--could he earn Sesshomaru's?
However, first, and foremost before he could even began to get crazy ideas. He would have to survive Sesshomaru first. Hiten made sure to be careful before he answered. Any wrong word could end him his life. He had to take the risk. "Yes, I was following my orders."
"Which were?"
"Which was: kill Inuyasha and bring the girl back unharmed. "Of course he would leave out the details, that his true orders were to bring them both back broken, but alive. Nevertheless, Sesshomaru did not need to know this bit of information.
"I see." Sesshomaru stated calmly. Even though deep inside, he knew this man was lying, and definatly could not be trusted. He sighed, 'interesting.'
Inuyasha awoke with the sound of voices. Opening his eyes he looked down at Kagome who was fast asleep. He could see his brother kneeling down next to the bastard--who almost ended both their lives. He didn't want anyone aware of his presence so he just stayed still. He was curious why his brother looked to be having a civilized conversation with this man, and only hoped that Sesshomaru would be able to retrieve the proper whereabouts of Naraku.

Sango awoke, tightly wrapped up in Miroku's arms. She smiled brightly, and her body felt wonderful and fulfilled. She looked over to see a smile plastered on her now sleeping lover.
She was hoping that he was awake, for she was feeling rather frisky. She recalled the wonderful evening. From the elevator then to the hallway, and then finally making their way to the bedroom. She could only imagine what his apartment looked like now, with all their clothes scattered around the rooms, or the knick knacks that scattered onto the carpet floor.
His touch was nothing that she had ever experienced with another, and wasn't sure if she could just go on with life...now that things would be different between them. Or, so she hoped.
She turned into him snuggling deeper under the nook of his neck. She could feel his warm breath, and just relished in the moment. Sleep finally evading her once again.
Miroku on the other hand, felt her stir. Opening his eyes, he could see her fast asleep. "Damn, my little wildcat...you wore me out," he said in a playful mood, as he stroked the hair out of her face.
"Mmmm hmm," she agreed, even if she was sleeping.
Miroku couldn't get enough of her, 'Dammit woman, what did you do to me.' He could feel himself becoming aroused again...just by the simple touch of her soft skin.
Miroku kissed her softy on the lips hoping to rouse her. Realizing he needed to be more attentive, his hand began to descend under the sheets, caressing her body on the way. Finding the warmth from her womanhood, he gently started massaging her.
Sango stirred, as he kissed her again, this time she responded heatedly. Rolling over on top of him she kissed his neck working her way down his hairless chest.
Foreplay was not necessary, she was ready. Kissing him deeply she adjusted him into her. She hissed feeling nothing but pleasure, from him being inside her.
With forceful motions the bed rocked back, and forth with a slight squeak, and sometimes even banging into the wall. Sango wanted him to remember their night. Give him a night he will never forget. She swiveled her hips, gyrating herself with the pleasurable sensation.
Miroku gritted his teeth while being ridden like a wild Mustang. Her tight folds engulfed him with the most enjoyable pressure he had ever felt. He grunted, moaned, and practically called out her name, each time she moved.
Grabbing her waist, he arched himself deeper into her. Hearing her cry of pleasure.
Sango was close, she needed more sensation. Grabbing one of Miroku's hands that were so firmly planted on her waist. She began to lead his hand to her breast. Begging him to massage her.
Sango felt herself tiring, but she was determined, to keep going, and loving the power she reigned over him. Yet, she was so close and couldn't seem to find the right spot to send her over the edge. With one last surge, she cradled her arms under his thighs, giving herself more leverage. Raising her arms up, his legs followed. Smiling, she continued her gyrating dance.
Miroku was stunned, never in his life had a woman did what Sango just did now. He didn't know how much longer he could hold off. The new position, was very satisfying. Biting his bottom lip, he griped her waist once more. Suddenly Sango screamed aloud, as he felt her contracting around his flesh.
Opening his eyes, he could see her glisten, eyes closed and panting with a slight smile; he caught her off guard and flipped her over, driving himself into her with a needed frenzy.
Shocked, from the sudden position--and the most intense orgasm of her life--she braced him tightly, and kissed him fiercely. No, he was going to be a hard one to walk away from. She knew that she was addicted, she couldn't help it. Everything just felt so right. The way he touched her, the way he talked to her, the way he kissed her. Was it just her? It had to be just her? He couldn't be feeling this way too? Could he?
He roared her name into the night, kissing her fervently, chasing away her thoughts. Wrapping her arms tightly around him she kissed him with everything she had to offer, 'remember me.' Her soul cried out, 'remember us.'
Tears filled her eyes with the intensity of the kiss, as a solemn tear rolled down the side of her face.

Morning came to soon, when the bright sunlit rays, shined brightly on Sango's face. She blinked her eyes slowly waking. Turning her head, she found Miroku in a deep sleep. She looked at him sadly. Determined that this relationship was just sex. What did they have now? Shaking the thoughts away, she needed to leave. As much as she wanted to stay, she wasn't ready to be faced with the cruel reality, of: "Thanks for the wonderful evening. I'll call you." Yet, they never do. Kissing her palm, she placed it on his lips, whispering, "Thank you." Then carefully climbed out of bed, in search of her clothes.
Fully dressed, she suddenly felt guilty about leaving him this way. Finding a notepad, she jotted down:
Miroku,
Thank you for the lovely evening,
Sango
Placing the note on his pillow, she silently slipped out of his apartment. Grabbing her cel phone she called a cab. She only hoped that she would be gone before he awoke.
