Chapter 16

Going Back

To her surprise both Inuyasha and Miroku looked away. Sango saw this and decided to tell her what happened.

"Well after you let down your shield over Rin you passed out. The youkai was killed and Inuyasha ran to a river to clean your wounds." Kagome looked to Inuyasha. He just got up and picked her up and put her in his lap.

"While Inuyasha was gone Sesshomaru just went into the forest and Rin followed him and Shippo went to play with Rin. He came back when Inuyasha did and told him that he would answer the questions because you saved Rin and that was about it." Sango then took a deep breath.

"Oh so that's why he answered our questions. So what do we do now?" Kagome said.

"We go get those herbs or kill that Hobo guy. Which ever comes first." Inuyasha said. "We have to wait for your wounds to heal."

"That's ok we can go now. I'll be fine."

"No we wait until your healed. We'll go to Kaede-baba's village and wait there."

"Fine, can I at least go home for a while when we get back? I need some medicine."

"Fine" Inuyasha said. "Let's get packed and moving it's still pretty early."

After everyone had packed up their things they ate some breakfast and started on the road. Kagome was on Inuyasha's back with Shippo, Sango and Miroku were on Kirara in front of them.

Inuyasha wanted to get to the village as soon as possible. He wanted Kagome to get a lot of rest. He wasn't trying to rush her he just wanted her to feel better. That was the only reason her was taking her to the well.

They had gotten to the village. After telling Kaede of their latest adventure Inuyasha and Kagome were on their way to the well. They said their goodbyes and left.

Inuyasha carried her even though she said she could walk. He gave her a quick kiss before he jumped in.

When they got to Kagome's time. He set her down. He didn't want to but he didn't want her Okaa-san to get mad. She was probably going to get real mad when he finds out about her wounds.

They made it into the house and were greeted by her Okaa-san.

"Hello Kagome, Inuyasha I didn't think you'd be back for a little while longer." She said while giving Kagome a hug. Kagome winced when she hugged her.

"What's wrong Kagome are you hurt?"

"Hai, that's the reason we came back early."

"What happened?"

Kagome showed her the wound and she gasped. "How did this happen? We should take you to the hospital."

"Okaa-san we can't go to the hospital. What are we going to tell them? I'll be fine I just need some pain killers."

"If you say your ok. How did this happen?"

"She saved a little girl from a youkai and got hurt instead of the girl." Inuyasha said finally making his presence known.

"Oh Kagome I'm proud so proud of you. Was the little girl hurt?"

"No" Inuyasha and Kagome said at the same time.

"Ok well why don't you two go upstairs and rest. I'll make you some food. I'll bring it up when it's done."

"Arigato Okaa-san. Come on Inuyasha" and she drug him upstairs to her room.

"I thought she was going to kill me." Inuyasha said. He sat on her bed.

"Why would she do that?"

"You got hurt. I'm supposed to protect you. It's all my fault. If I hadn't fought with Sesshomaru this never would've happened."

"Its not your fault Inuyasha. I was the one that messed with that youkai."

"Yeah and you never should've had to."

"It's still my fau…" Kagome shut him up with a kiss. For once it was Inuyasha to be caught off guard. She just wanted him to know it wasn't his fault.

Inuyasha was surprised. She had never kissed him before. She was always so shy whenever he kissed her. As soon as he got over the surprise he took over. Just because she started it didn't mean she was going to be the dominant one.

Inuyasha took the kiss further and started laying her down on the bed. He crawled on top of her being careful of her shoulder. He started kissing her neck. He licked his mark and smirked.

"Kagome do you know what this bite mark means?" He said as he kissed it.

"No" She was all she could say.

"It means your mine. My mate. You belong to me and only me. You understand?"

She just nodded. She couldn't talk even if she tried. Her neck was very sensitive. He then moved back up to her lips.

"You should wait until she feels better and when the house is empty to do that."

Inuyasha jumped off Kagome so fast that he fell. Kagome just sat up straight.

"Okaa-san! Its not what it looks like I can explain." Kagome said.

"Its ok. I've known for a while."

"You have?" Inuyasha and Kagome said at the same time.

"Of course. The looks you give each other are all I need to see to know."

"Oh, but we weren't…" Kagome couldn't word it. She was blushing. Her face was as red as Inuyasha's hoari. Inuyasha was just as red.

"I know. I was only kidding."

"That's not nice Okaa-san." Kagome said.

"Well its not every day you catch your daughter and soon to be son in a compromising position."

They both blushed. "What do you mean by soon to be son?" Inuyasha asked surprised that she said that.

"I told you, I see the looks in your eyes. Besides I heard what you said earlier."

They just blushed even more. "So you wouldn't mind our being together?" Inuyasha asked.

"If I did I wouldn't let Kagome go with you all the time."

Inuyasha just smiled. She was so kind and understanding, just like Kagome.

"Here I made oden." Kagome squealed in delight and took the food from her. "I made some ramen for Inuyasha."

Inuyasha's eyes lit up and he also took the food from her.

"Oh, Kagome your friends have been calling for the last couple of days." She then left the room.

She had forgotten that Inuyasha had taken her out of school. What was she going to tell her friends? She had to think of something before she saw them again.

`I'm Inuyasha's mate. Don't you have to?' She couldn't even finish the thought. She would ask him later.

"Kagome your friends are here to see you." Ms. Higurashi said from downstairs.

Gomen I have to leave for my mom's house and she doesn't have Internet so I wrote as much as I could before I had to leave. I'll update tomorrow. I'll try and make the chapter longer than usual or write an extra chapter. Gomen. Read and Review.
